thanks ruff
It's crazy how sucessfull you became. I know many people who post high quality content when it comes to use of expensive cameras, drones and they still are stuck at around 5-10k subs. Good job Mr. Ruff!
Imagine if this video inspired a gambler
What I've learnt from this video.
1) UA-cam is luck, but luck is predictable. If there's a 1 percent chance that your video will succeed, if you post a 100 vids success is guaranteed
2)"All I need is 2 good decisions this year" -Warren Buffet. As long as you produced 1-3 winning videos(videos that blow up) this year, it's a good year.
3)Lower your expectations. Most people's winning video won't be the first 20-30 videos that they post.
4)Make your goal the action, not the outcome. Your goal shouldn't be to get 100k subs, it should be to produce 100 good vids. "Winners commit to the action, losers commit to the outcome"
I don't comment alot but when I do it most of the time on your videos ruff. And as a 12 year old on self improvement journey, your advices are always really helpful, unique and different. There is always something new I get to learn from your videos! That "Gimme a kiss mhummaa" at the end always makes me smile😊 I wish you all the best, success and happiness to you Ruff! Keep on posting the great content.
If ur mic doesn't pick up random bird noises in the morning that shits goated xD (jokes aside W vid. I think youtube is literally just gambling but with your ideas and unknown probability instead of money. the guy who doesn't go bankrupt in terms of ideas and passion will win eventually)
How did you comment over ten hours before the video was released

I am going to follow what you have said with a plot and ideation of my own.
Going to do it right , and Going to do it consistently for the next 6 months.
rn i am at 10k , I haven't uploaded much in a while.
I'll keep updating here for 6 months , Remind me everyone : )
"we dont raise to the level of our goals, but to the level of our systems" james clear from atomic habits.
Nice vid and knowledge dropped from experience on yt. Mindset is evertything. 🤝🏻
The hardest part is making sure that the quality of your vids does not drop. I set a goal to upload 100 vids by the end of this year, and its added a lot more stress to UA-cam as a whole, and although that could also be a good motivator, it could also do a lot of harm.
Set ambitious goals, but use them more as guidelines rather than concrete rules.
For example, I have never gotten 100% on a Chemistry test this school year. I made it a goal to ace at least one in the past trimester. We had 3 tests. I got a 99 on ALL 3 OF THEM. I can literally dm you a photo bro im not even kidding. The point is, I didn't actually achieve my goal. But I got close, and I can confidentially say that I have the highest grade in the class. Even if you don't exactly hit it, just aiming for it brings you much closer than the person that never had a goal to begin with. But no goal is worth sacrificing your mental health over.
Good luck ma bros
Are you a time traveler , how did you comment before the video came out ?
it´s better to fail high big goals then to not try at all. ( i remade my youtube and twitch channels like a 50 times by now i got a ban once on each acount my pc got a trojan and i had to fix it loose all my projects got hurt etc.) just keep on struggling.
@@somerandomguy5719I think he’s a member. They get to see vids early

Thanks bro another goat video i was procrastinating with recording and editing the video so i have scripts but don't have the discipline to edit them😅 but after this video I'm goona do editing and post another video in few days !!!!keep it up 👍🏻
Something Ruff mentioned in an older video : dont look at the goal too often, focus on the journey
Just like how we have to look at the road when driving and cant stare at the GPS the whole time
Yes the GPS gives us a sense of direction but look at it too long and you'll crash
Dont look at the numbers too much, ofc its not wrong to feel motivated by them but *dont make them the reason you make videos.*
If you do that, you'll eventually burn out (like me previously)
If you just make videos, itll eventually work out
Focus on the videos, since the results come from making the vid itself, not looking at numbers lol
If for some reason you need more proof that this is the case, I followed this advice I just mentioned above since my second latest vid. (As always keep in mind luck is involved in youtube, i definitely got very lucky this time round but ill say a portion of the reason is due to this advice)
This is so informative
thanks ruff
You inspire me ❤️✨

●make action the goal not the result.
My fav part was the statement that “winning vid” will mean a different thing to each person.
My first “winning video” was 10 views 😂
A few yrs later it was 50k, then 200k.
But actually I was more excited by my first vid getting 10 views than I was by the 200k cuz it was all relative and all for fun 😅 just focus on the quality of ur content, consistency, & having fun y’all
make the video on if you should rest on weekends to refesh yourself or work harder and burn out the questio on last video plzzz
2 good decisions a year - got it.
Ruff I have a question. I’ve been improving along with your journey since the beginning but there always been the issue of not having a deep work task. I spend like hours upon hours trying to find that purpose so I can have a deep work task, but it usually ends in me thinking of a few ideas but they are usually not start able right now because of my financial situation. Do you have any tips on how to find a purpose with a deep work task, since I can find certain layers like you’ve said, but they don’t have a task I can consistently do. (Tried not to be positive since it’s harmful :)
"The only shortcut to life is to never miss a day, because sometimes you get lucky, and you'll never miss a lucky day if you try every day" - Andrew Tate (I think lol)
Tate ftw
100% Agree. Honestly, the main problem I see is that people are obsessed with results and growning numbers fast those days. I have less than 2k subs in 2+ years of yt, yet I still keep on making videos, because I enjoy making them! I'm addicted to making them! Even if they don't do well view-wise it's fine, I'm having fun working on what I love and that's winning to me!
The fact that you see people being obsessed with success as the main problem is concerning and think your solution which is being satisfied with just creating and not finding success is wrong imo. For them winning is winning.
@@munkhjinmunkhbayar5952 The thing is, success for me and success for the world are two different things.
Maybe to them, getting external validation from big numbers is success. But to me, self-satisfaction is success. As long as I’m proud of what I create, I don’t need anyone to validate or aprove of it.
Hey ruff, can you recommend some books to read for self improvement and for being productive ?

Hey ruff, how do I change my mindset in school because whenever I go into school I always forget about self improvement and change my personality into the old and weak version of myself and whenever I go home I always regret my actions

Hey everyone, I’m seeking advice or maybe this situation might relate to you. I’m not sure where to start my journey as I’m lost, not knowing what tasks to do. I know about the basics of self improvement, eg delayed gratification, flow state etc… but sometimes I’m stuck at the point where I do not know what I can do for the day. It just stops me from taking any action as I have zero clue what I wish to do for the day. Maybe this feeling is most common after exams, where there will be no goal for you to strive towards to as everything has finished. Do you guys have any advice to tackle this situation of feeling lost, stopping you from being productive? I suppose it is just the lack of goals being set for myself.
For something like that, you probably need to pick something up other than having a goal of studying and getting good grades. For me, it should be programming since I enjoy it and want to get better at (even tho I haven’t done it in a while :() But that’s an example. You’ll have to find your own thing which you want to get better at or do everyday
Just set a clear goal and the steps that you need to achieve them. If you don't even know what goal to set, that means that you don't know what you want which is well, problematic, hopefully you do know what you want in life
actually, 1-99%^100 = 63%
Go back to the video🔥🔥🔥
does anyone know if he has an instagram?
bet
1:27 Actually, there is only 63% for having at least 1 video that does well after 100 videos 🤓☝
What about video ideas
This video is tutorial (how to be successful as a youtuber)
If you post 100 videos with a 1% chance of succeding your chance of success becomes around 64%
to get to 99% succes you have to post around 450 videos
This is so counter intuitive, I know 1-99%^100 = 63% but shouldn't you get 1 success per 100 uploads on average by definition? I'm saying on average because it may not happen or more than 1 success may happen.
your lucky because you are not an animation channel as an animation channel it takes time to make so I don't upload consistently youtube favors the always uploading🙂
too many excuses. You can still find success in the same way, and quality content can favour over quantity content if it's good enough.
Look at the bright side, your animation skills will keep getting better. Also, UA-cam also does favour high quality videos too
I disagree with UA-cam being luck.
It is skill, but you can addidentaly do the right things and go viral.
If it was luck, how would a channel like MrBeast, Ryan Trahan or Mark Rober continuosly pop off?
The advice to make a ton of content though is very good, because if you make a ton of content you automatically get better in making content and so your views also go up.
Don't treat UA-cam like it's luck, it IS skill, but you can get that skill by making videos.
It's luck to become viral, but it's not luck after that. I think that is the point of making 2 good decisions. After that, you hav an established audience. The reason MrBeast, Ryan Trahan, and Mark Rober pop off is because they found an audience after years of uploading, and after the luck they used skill. MrBeast uploaded tons of videos before getting the views he got, but he got lucky once, and it payed off. Of course, luck won't get you anywhere if your videos are shit, but you couldn't get anywhere without it either.
@@rufusframpton that is true, but then what Ruff is saying is useless, because he says that you only need luck and doesn't even mention skill.
However, if you only have luck, you won't get very far
@@DaRialBesch lets be honest, sure hes only saying that, cuz he expects us to know that we do need effort. but effort in itself is useless without a little luck.

@@phongyadane2343 If you had enough of understanding, you could've clearly understood that I was talking about his views. Clearly, the subscribers are not liking these kind of videos. And obviously, I do not do stuff like this by myself but I prefer for bigger roles in my life by specific people. No wonder there are thousands of youtubers better than Ruff but still people watch him. You can clearly see what kind of videos attract people.
