They need to be tip-ring splitters and NOT left-right. Also, (side note), if you have volcas and in particular, the "modular" one, you can just use a stereo 1/8 inch standard cable which will transmit both pitch and gate info to the volca's singular jack socket.
if akai had put 4 mono socket instead of requiring the buyer to cough up for $60 in adapters, that would have been nice. same goes for the Elektron Analog 4 Mk1.
I think that makes since of you are always and by default going to have these types of splitters attached. They are done this way because it’s assumed that splitters may not be used and therefore the outputs without the splitters are simply 1234. If it was done as you suggest then without splitters the outputs would be 1357
@@Bboytechreport My guess this is done to save space, just as we're seeing an increase in the jack MIDI connectors. Your assumption may be correct, but I find it weird to add something and as a producer assume users will usually settle for just the 4 outputs. If I do decide to get me an MPC, I'll just have to accept it...
Dope! So simple and to the point. I've seen 1million & 63 mpc videos and not one showed me this. Good 💩
Thats a decent amount of cvs

Yes, and make sure they are all TRS AUDIO Cables as well. Thanks for sharing your knowledge ~💡
Ty, did not know that at all.
Nice tip!
Sorry I don’t know anything bout cv gate what is it exactly used for? Thank you
Highly illogical move by Akai to use trs output 1 & 5 instead of 1 & 2. Had they done the latter these labels would not be necessary...
