Good video. My advice to everyone is to keep things simple. In the early 90s my MIDI setup was way too complex nessitating an extra MIDI out port on my Atari ST. All my synths and controllers were connected all the time. The complexity got in the way of the music. Now I just pick a couple of instruments and put them together as needed.

@@LanzaMartineta thanks! Interesting. I don’t know that I’ve seen a guitar with a USB output. With that said, I don’t believe the MPC is setup to accept audio over USB. I could be wrong, so it’s worth a shot. But I would suggestion going from the guitar, into a DI, then into the audio input on the MPC. That should work just fine. You could then setup an audio track to record the guitar. I hope that helps.
Thank you. This is how Akai should make their tutorial videos. Akais video on how to connect a usb controller is 1:50 and all they teach is that you can play a melody with your usb keyboard. No words about midi learning or anything else. They should pay you for this.
Ooo I would have loved to see a follow-up discussing what you talked about last; audio routing through a mixer (how it is best done, how it is configured on the mpc, suitable mixer for hooking up the mpc with a few external synths etc)
Oskar, basically you connect each synth audio output to your mixer then the stereo output of the mixer to the MPC audio inputs. If you were playing live (instead of recording to the MPC) the MPC output would go to a pair of your mixer inputs and the mixer output would go to the PA system.
This was extremely helpful. I now have my AKAI MPC acting as a sound module for my 1988 AKAI EVI1000 ‘valve’ wind controller. I’m able to create very organic tracks on the fly while taking advantage of all the production features of the MPC. With my eclectic interests in ambient, acid house, space synth, and fusion jazz this seems to be a perfect match!
USB Host mode is powerful, and appears well implemented. That has sold me on making the One the hardware center for my gear. Great video- very well thought out.
This is absolutely fascinating actually. I drive a Dreadbox Erebus from a midi channel which is basically a sequencer and record back to an audio channel whilst messing with the oscillator filters etc. You can then layer the tracks with different settings and be very creative with it all. This is going to keep me amused for the rest of the year...lol
Thank you for such an extensive and clear explanation of MIDI on MPC v2.8. One question that has been asked multiple times on the Akai support forum is 'foot pedal control', and this too can be achieved with MIDI - specifically with MMC Play/Stop/Rec/etc messages. A USB (or DIN) MIDI foot pedal can send these into the MPC, either with a commercial unit (such as a Morningstar) or a DIY solution (my favorite is "OpenDeck" on GitHub).
Thanks! Although I haven't tested those controllers or a footpedal controller in general, if you can midi learn it, then from the controller's perspective, it should work. The midi learn feature is rather capable, but specifically can it do Play, Stop, Rec, I'm not 100% certain. Scrolling through the assignable parameters, I see Rec Arm, is an option. I see Song and Project's have assignable parameters too, but I'm not sure without further research. I can look into it and I'll comment back if I figure it out.
@@OllieLoops MMC is predefined, it will not need a 'MIDI learn'. There is a section in the MPC's MIDI preferences to receive (and/or send) MMC, once enabled that play button on your Keystep should function.
Wow. This was much needed and easy to understand. I’m staring to realize there is no right way to set things up. A mixer with 2 aux output channels for stereo routing is what I’m missing.
This was great! Since I received the Live 2 I was searching for a fairly simple way to control AND record the audio from my Analog Four Mk2. I woke up to this when I refreshed my UA-cam home page. I am curious about the setup screen though. What are the settings supposed to be for the SYNC and TRACK icons on the MPC? I’m still new to this but you make everything look really simple. If I could see a closeup of what the setup screen on the MPC looks like that might help. Thank you so much for doing this. Your editing and presentation is professional. Now if you could just pour all of that knowledge to me via mind meld, it would be awesome! lol Keep it up, sir! And now I shall subscribe!
Thanks for your comment. If you haven't see my MPC firmware 2.8 video, I would recommend checking that out. It has an explanation of the Midi Sync (Midi Multi Mode) Screen. It has a close of up of the screen and explains its features. Check that video out if you haven't. Also, I believe Akai updated the manual for 2.8 and that would be a good resource as well. I hope that helps!
Ollie Loops Oh, you do have a video covering that as a demonstration! I’ll check it out after I open the manual- which should have been my first stop. Thank you for the response and reminder of the importance of reading the manual! I see why people dig your channel!
I found this video to be incredibly helpful for me. Thank you so much! Everything was explained clearly, and precisely and I learned a ton in 20 minutes. Subscribed 💯
Great video, very detailed and unique, very impressive, thank you! Now a question from a newbie to the expert: What would be the ideal way to connect : 1. MPC Key 37 with Focusrite Scarlett2i4 1(st or 2nd gen, not sure) and a Roland Integra 7? I sort have managed to get some results but what I am looking to do is as follow: 1. Play and be able to hear and record sound from the Integra into the MPC as a MIDI track 2. Play and hear and record the native sounds on the MPC as a plugin track 3. Plug in Guitar + microphone in the Scarlet and play/hear/record in the MPC 4. Overall be able to add different sources and record a multi-track and multi sources project 5. Sound would ideally come out of the Scarlet but direct from the PMC Phones output is fine and fine too from the Integra Phones output This is how I imagine the ideal setup of course, the goal is to combine sources and record them all together on a different track or even perhaps, combine and mix some together too Might be easy, but as you seem to like challenge, I thought I'd ask! Many thanks indeed! 😬
This was everything I wanted and needed. Thank you! I've set my SPD SX to trigger pads on my MPC Live 2 so that I can perform my drum beats in via the SPD rather than using the MPC pads.
Thanks a lot for this video. Looking forward to get the update on the AKAI Force. But one thing is driving me crazy. Why is there no latency offset for each midi device. Right now you cannot compensate midi timing per device. It is really necessary to get midi clock offset in negative and positive direction per device.
this is real and useful information, much appreciated! one question; can the MPC be connected to send MIDI clock to a couple synths , send a click track to a drummer and trigger sampled sounds on pads while playing a sequence like in song mode ?
I believe you could do this, but the tricky part is sending a click track to a drummer. You would need an MPC with multiple outputs. Then program a click within the song to only output on one set of outputs. The rest of the sounds triggered by the pads would go to the main output. For the midi clock, connect the synths via USB or 5 pin din, and configure midi clock to be sent out according to the connection type and midi channel selected. It’s a complicated setup, but I think it is possible. Hope that helps.
This really helped me a lot. If I want use a keyboard synth as a midi controller for my mpc live 2 to control instrument plug ins, other external synths and the keyboard synth it’s self how could I do that
You could do that by setting up midi channels for each device that you wish to control. On the synth/controller, you would then switch midi channels to control different devices in the chain. Hope that helps.
So I was trying to hook my Roland Fantom from its output 1 into the MPC Live’s input 1 so I can write notes into the MPC for it’s built in synths, from my fantoms keys. But also wanted to have another midi cable going from my MPC Live’s output 1, into my Korg Minilogue’s input so that I can also switch over to a midi track on my MPC and play/write notes with the sounds from my Korg, using my Fantom’s keys. This used to be no problem when I was using the Roland FA 06 but now that I’m using the Fantom it seems more complicated for some reason. I was trying last night, to have 2 separate tracks one using the hype engine and the other track as a midi channel to use my Korgs sounds but when I would switch over to the midi channel I would hear both the hype and the Korg when I press my fantoms keys. I just want to be able to switch back and forth tracks on my MPC to get to each sound individually like I used to be able to. EDIT: So I just had an idea, would it work easier this way if I routed the midi from my Fantom output 1 into my Korg Minilogues input, then go output from my Korg into my MPC’s Input? I might still hear both sounds at the same time but I would just have to turn down the volume of the Korg on my mixer when I’m writing notes on the Hype track, and then when I write out the notes for my Korg I’ll do it on my fantoms sequencer. then when I’m satisfied with the pattern I’ll just have to play it back alone and sample it immediately to put into an audio track on the project in my MPC. Either way I always had to sample my tracks from the Korg to get it into my project. The only difference is I was able to have those 2 separate tracks before on the MPC where I hit play and each individual track would play the perspective sounds assigned to each track. When if I do that now, when both tracks would have a different midi pattern and both tracks would probably be playing both sounds over both of those patterns, If that makes sense.
Ollie Loops using the Mio from iconnectivity to get Midi over USB from One to iPad. I did a walk thru before the 2.8 update here: ua-cam.com/video/YeZr2A6xcFM/v-deo.html
This is going to handy for me. I've ordered the MPC ONE, it should be due in stock at the retailer I use end of July, (hopefully)!!. I have 9 hardware synths and other gear but never had a sampler...looking forward to using the MPC ONE, and this video will help getting some of the synths synced up via usb midi so thanks for this. Cheers.
@@OllieLoops Yeah me too, looking forward it, just a pitty they are out of stock everywhere here, would have been great to have it at through out lockdown period. I'll be back at work way before it's available to me now....that just gives me Sundays to spend any real time with it...Sigh!!.
Hi Ollie, I was wondering. Does the MPC work with drum triggers like the Roland BT-1 without MIDI? Or does that only work if you play it through a SPD/Drum computer? Love your content!
Thanks for your comment. I'm not super familiar with the BT-1, but it appears to only be compatible with triggering drum kits, and likely only those made by Roland. You would need to convert the signal from what the pad outputs into either midi or CV. You may have some luck on the CV side, but I'm not 100% sure what the Roland system uses. Hope that helps!
Man. This earned a like as well as a subscribe! Thank you so much! This is one of the more clear videos I’ve come across. Do you have any videos on MPC and Jupiter X or Juno x?
@@OllieLoops thank you! I may be attempting to do something that’s impossible? Lol so, the MPC, as you know, has a built in chord engine. I’m attempting to configure my setup to where I can record those midi notes and they also playback the sound(s) from my Juno at the same time and not just record the notes. However, I also want to have the option to record midi notes directly from the keyboard on the synth into the MPC, if I choose too. I’ll spare you the setups I’ve attempted because I think all of my settings on both devices were wrong. Thankfully, I have a feeling I’m really close and your video helped me understand maybe where I’ve went wrong.
@@0072gldnfngr At a high level, I would say that you would want to connect the two via USB, otherwise, you would need two midi (5) pin din cables, one from each input to output to connect the devices. Once you have that set, create a dedicated track and program on the MPC to correspond with the synth. Arm the track. If you program midi notes on the MPC, they should play on the synth. You can either route audio back to the MPC to a dedicated audio track, or to an external mixer. Because the midi track is armed, it should allow you to play notes on the synth which can be recorded into the midi track. I hope that helps.
@@OllieLoops that’s what I was trying but it didn’t work, so I’m standing in guitar center to purchase some better quality din cables. I’ll try it out and get back with you. I appreciate it.
@@OllieLoopsPDATE: Turns out, I didn’t fully understand my issue. Lol. 😅 Seems I’ll have to continue digging thru various threads on the Juno X. Pains of developing a hybrid setup I guess. All good. That said, your video was still extremely helpful in helping me understand Midi. I’ve never used it in a “DAWless” setup. My only question to you at this time would be, is it possible to record midi (in or out) to multiple tracks at once? For the sake of my workflow, I would like it if I didn’t have to “Duplicate” multiple tracks. If I have to, it is what it is. However, I figure it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
Good video. I was wanting to know if changing the current slice via midi keyboard when in program edit mode was possible. The selected slice does not change when i press the keys, only when i press a pad. I would like to be able to play thru my different slices with the keyboard and have the selected slice change along with it. The selected slice does NOT change until i press a pad. By the way, i am connected to my MPC X via midi din cable instead of USB.
Thanks. This explained why I couldn't see separate devices listed in MIDI/Sync - they only appear with MIDI over USB. Seems odd that with MIDI cable connection, your i/p port is "MPC" (the MPC's physical DIN), whereas in the same menu, you select the name of the external device as your i/p port when using MIDI over USB.
excellent video, the only thing you didn't cover was that some makes of synths require usb drivers for using usb such as Roland for example. however the midiplus 2x2 will help out in those occasions enabling 32 midi tracks via it's mdid to usb box.
Thanks! According to the quick start guide, you can change the midi note value from 0-127 without the editor software. Assuming that changing that value, it could allow you to change which midi note is assigned to the pad. However, it looks like the editor software is likely the best way to edit these values, if you can connect the controller to a computer.
Would you have any advice on connecting the force to the mpc for the purpose of using the 64 pads on the force while keeping the mpc as the main? I really love the force but I love the mpc workflow, it’d be dope to be able to chop samples and not have to switch banks.
Thanks for your comment. That would be an interesting pairing. I’m not sure how to do that however. I might suggest contacting Akai’s support to see if it’s possible. Best of luck.
Great video. Trying to connect my Akai MPC249 keys to MPC One. I copied exactly how to connect everything to the usb powered hub and the MPC One is not picking up the MPK249 in the MIDI/Sync in the preferences. If I plug it in directly to the MPC One, it will show it as being connected. Thoughts?
Sorry for the late reply. There should be two USB ports on the MPC. One is for direct connection and the other is for hubs. Make sure you're connected to the one that's for hubs. Hopefully that does the trick.
Wowwwww! Thank YOU!!! You just saved me $1,500!!! I was gonna buy a Key 61, But I have a 1st Gen MPC Live and an Advance 49 (that's not supported on my mac M1 laptop... Hello. This video was very helpful. I also have a MPC One and just got the new Akai Midi Plus midi controller. I was wondering if there is a way to map stop, overdub, and play start to the stop, record, and play buttons on my Mini Plus? Any help would be greatly appreciated from Ollie Loops or anyone who sees this comment and knows. Happy New Year!
Hi there. This is the best instructional video i've ever seen. I think i encountered a bug. Have seen people comment, and would love to know if you can help. I've mapped my Volume parameter of Track 1 to my IRig pad slider. I learn, move the slider, go to the MAIN page, and then the slider works to control the volume. However when i let go it starts to glitch all over the place. changing numbers up and down randomly. 64, 122, 6, 78 etc. I unplug the device, and it carries on glitching. I deleted the output options for the Midi device also, so i know i don't have a loop of midi data circling around. Some people have commented on this bug, but nobody has given any answers. Do you have experience with this?
I have no experience with that. Does it continue to you happen even if the midi controller is unplugged? The midi controller could have a setting that is causing it to interfere with the MPC. Check the settings on the middle controller. If you have another midi controller, try that to confirm the behavior is the same. Otherwise, it could be the irig controller.
Thanks for this and the other MPC video explaining the sequence/track/basics! I used this video to control my Volca Keys from the One, but I'd like to also control my iPad Pro (USB-C) soft synths at the same. Any ideas? I'm trying to play both live at once (audio into mixer).
Great question. I know you can connect a midi controller to the iPad for external control. I would assume getting the camera kit or USB C to A adaptor would allow you to integrate with an iPad and mpc. You could then run audio into a mixer or from the iPad into the mpc.
I am looking to connect my mpc one to a fader port 8 or x touch. I wonder which one will work better at at all with mpc. Also I would love for akai to create its own mixer controller with faders and a sound card and ability to multitrack into the mpc one. I know is not a lot to ask. Since tascam model 8 already does this. It’s only missing the motorized faders
Awesome video!!! I have a question in regards to the External Synth section. Let's say the external synth is a key board (Yamaha Montage etc...), and it's setup like your example, USB from MPC to Synth, and then Stereo Out to Stereo in on MPC. You showed how you can control the synth from the MPC, but could you also somehow record midi notes using the keyboard from the synth into a sequence and it's own sounds, edit it, and then record it into an audio track? If so that would be great!!!!
Thanks! Yes, usb midi is bidirectional. If you play notes on the synth, they will be recorded into the mpc, assuming the mpc has recording or overdub engaged. So you can play ones on the mpc or keyboard of the synth. Hope that helps.
Hey Ollie great video !!! i want to assign the tap tempo function of the mpc to an external conntroler button but from what i understand mpc's "midi learn" capabilities do not include that function.. any idea?
Hi, Thanks for this great video. I am thinking about buying a MPC one to control analog synths (Model D, minilogue, Minibrute). Will it work with analog synths ? Can i create midi note sequences on the mpc one send it on the "midi out" and the synth will play it (and i can tweek buttons on synths). My main goal is to send different midi sequence (create a sequence on the midi roll) to different synths in song mode to song live but I want to use my analog synths. Will it be possible ? So I want to use the mpc one as a sequencer who can send different sequence to different synths (and add a drum track and other audio tracks). this is easy made on a computer on a daw but i really want to stop using computer. thanks in advance for your reply
Hey, thanks for comment and questions. I think that most of the answers you're looking for are in the video. Analog synths are connected to the MPC via midi and/or USB and notes are being sent from the MPC to the synths. External synths can be analog or midi, as shown in the video. You can control external gear if it has midi din or USB midi. It's not much different from what you can do with a DAW. I hope that helps.
Thanks! Yeah, make sure that the audio track is armed. If you can hear audio coming through, but it’s not recording, that means it’s not armed. Good luck.
Very informative. thanks a lot. But, If I have a MPC, can I connect the whole Korg Volca series (4 of them) at the same time? For instance, :) without the expensive Digitone as a hub. Thats what I still dont get. Or do I relly need the MPC live to control more hardware?
You can connect Volcas similar to how this was done with the Digitone. The principles are the same, you connect midi from the MPC to the volca, and audio from the Volca to the MPC. Now, where you may need some additional gear has to do with how many volcas you want to connect and how you handle midi and audio. There are only so many midi outputs from the MPC, so you may need a MIDI hub to gain additional outputs. Likewise, there is only one audio input on the MPC, so you may need an audio mixer to combine audio outputs from the Volcas to the MPC. I hope that helps.
Hi Ollie, I have a problem with my Mpc Live II: I need to work via midi din with 5 old synths but I don't know which gear to buy. I bought a Kenton Midi Thru 5 but found that it produces identical copies to the 5 midi thru jacks ... I don't want all 5 synths working on the same channel at the same time ... I need 5 distinct channels, which product is right for my purpose? Thank you very much!
Hey, thanks for your comment and questions. I think you should be able to do what you want with the gear you have. The trick is to assign a unique midi channel to each synth. The setup would be something like this: track 1 outputs midi on channel 1 to synth 1. Synth one is then set to midi channel 1 to receive midi from the MPC. Track 2 outputs midi on channel 2 to synth 2, which receives midi on channel 2. etc. This way each synth has a unique channel to communicate over midi. You can have up to 16 channels/devices using this method. In this video, I show how to set up the tracks to output midi on different channels. This should be all you need. Let me know if that works out for you.
Thanks for the immediate reply! Unfortunately, even if each synth has its own midi channel (Tg500 to ch. 1, Jv880 to ch. 2, Wavestation to 3 etc), every time I press a key all the synths continue to play simultaneously ...
@@Tirso425 That seems odd. It would seem the MPC is exporting on all channels still. Oh, I think I may know the issue, and I failed to mention this in my last comment. Each synth needs a unique Midi Program. This is unique to the MPC. There you will set the channel so it corresponds to each synth. So, the setup is, Track 1 is a midi track with Midi Program 1 set to the correct midi output and midi channel that corresponds to synth 1's midi channel. You will need to set up other midi programs for each device and assign those to each track so you can sequence and control everything independently. It's a bit of work, but it also gives you tons of flexibility. Let me know if that works for you.
@@OllieLoops I forgot to put the appropriate midi channels in the synths... now everything is ok! It's my first time using old synths for music production. Many thanks for the tip!
Thanks! There are some foot pedals that are midi either via USB or 5 pin din. That should work for what you're looking to do. You would just midi map it like you would any other controller. A typical sustain pedal alone won't be able to interface and midi map like other controllers can.
Good question. The MPC can send velocity information. But not all synths accept it. Therefore, it will be case by case depending on what gear you intend to connect.
complimenti per il video ..collegando una tastiera midi posso sfruttare i preset della stessa tastiera in questo caso usando analog lab interagendo con l mpc one ...suoni
Question, How about using a synths midi out to mpc. Then midi outs to multiple keyboard/synths? Can you use a synths midi out to control & record while also assigning the midi/ usb outs to other synths/devices?
I think that's similar (midi into the MPC) to using a midi keyboard shown in the video. You can try to use different midi channels to control different devices from one machine. But you won't be able to use the same features of one machine to control multiple devices without switching midi channels. Hopefully that helps. Otherwise, let me know more specifically what you want to do, gear youre using, and I can try to help you some more.
Just grabbed the mpc live 2 and watched your video again. Perfectly done, every synth I plugged in is showing up in the mpc. Thanks so much for your great videos & help.

Great video. Answered midi questions I had for 20 years.

easily the best explainer ive seen yet on this. ive saved to play list. invaluable info, thanks ive been scratching my head for weeks.
Thanks! Glad it helped.
Wow. This was much needed and easy to understand. I’m staring to realize there is no right way to set things up. A mixer with 2 aux output channels for stereo routing is what I’m missing.
This is the best Tutorial on the midi layout as said in previous comments
Thanks!
Best explanation, thanks! This is how any tutorials should look like.
Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for your support.
I sort have managed to get some results but what I am looking to do is as follow:
1. Play and be able to hear and record sound from the Integra into the MPC as a MIDI track
2. Play and hear and record the native sounds on the MPC as a plugin track
3. Plug in Guitar + microphone in the Scarlet and play/hear/record in the MPC
4. Overall be able to add different sources and record a multi-track and multi sources project
5. Sound would ideally come out of the Scarlet but direct from the PMC Phones output is fine and fine too from the Integra Phones output
This is how I imagine the ideal setup of course, the goal is to combine sources and record them all together on a different track or even perhaps, combine and mix some together too
Might be easy, but as you seem to like challenge, I thought I'd ask!
Many thanks indeed!

Thanks a lot for this video. Looking forward to get the update on the AKAI Force. But one thing is driving me crazy. Why is there no latency offset for each midi device. Right now you cannot compensate midi timing per device. It is really necessary to get midi clock offset in negative and positive direction per device.
Best video I have seen on the midi capabilities of the 2.8 update. Excellent stuff!
Thanks!
this is real and useful information, much appreciated! one question; can the MPC be connected to send MIDI clock to a couple synths , send a click track to a drummer and trigger sampled sounds on pads while playing a sequence like in song mode ?
I believe you could do this, but the tricky part is sending a click track to a drummer. You would need an MPC with multiple outputs. Then program a click within the song to only output on one set of outputs. The rest of the sounds triggered by the pads would go to the main output. For the midi clock, connect the synths via USB or 5 pin din, and configure midi clock to be sent out according to the connection type and midi channel selected. It’s a complicated setup, but I think it is possible. Hope that helps.
Man this has saved me so many headaches. Thank you so much for this!!
Thanks! Have fun.

11:28 is such a blessing from mpc
Dude that’s incredible video, finally now I have route my stuff. Thanks Bro, U made my Day 🏆🎹🙏👊🏻
Thanks.
@@OllieLoops thanks! I didn’t want to buy a midi controller just control a synth with a keyboard
Fantastic video. Thanks for showing us the power of the ONE 👊🏼🙏🏼
Thanks! It’s a powerful machine.
Ollie Loops yep. Digging the 2.8 update a lot. I love using it to sequence all the great iPadOS synths.

Thanks! I appreciate that. I don't currently have anything with the Jupiter or Juno. What are you trying to do? Maybe I can help.
Nicely done mr loops
Thanks!
I've been looking for a video like this for hours fking thank you!!!!!!!!!
You're welcome. have fun!
Yeah, the naming convention is a bit odd, but once you know you know.
excellent video, the only thing you didn't cover was that some makes of synths require usb drivers for using usb such as Roland for example. however the midiplus 2x2 will help out in those occasions enabling 32 midi tracks via it's mdid to usb box.
Great point. I think Akai makes a point to say it works with class compliant USB devices.
Great, i tried it and it works great! Thanks!
Is it possiple to change the midi notes of the pads on my Akai LPD 8 controller without the software??
❤
Thanks!
According to the quick start guide, you can change the midi note value from 0-127 without the editor software. Assuming that changing that value, it could allow you to change which midi note is assigned to the pad. However, it looks like the editor software is likely the best way to edit these values, if you can connect the controller to a computer.
Wonderful information. Great video also.
Thanks!
This is so cool and demystifying! Thank you! ✨

Hey, happy new year. Midi mapping is shown in this video. Check out the chapter on Midi Controllers. Hopefully that helps.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.

This was very helpful. Thank you

@@OllieLoops Thank you!!!!

Hey Ollie great video !!! i want to assign the tap tempo function of the mpc to an external conntroler button but from what i understand mpc's "midi learn" capabilities do not include that function.. any idea?
Interesting. I’m not sure either. Sounds like a nice feature to have though.
@@OllieLoops Thanks ! I just wanted to make sure before buying it.
really hope this update comes to the force
Great video. At 13:05 when you recorded the audio back into the mpc. Is there a setting you have to enable to record it?
Thanks! Yeah, make sure that the audio track is armed. If you can hear audio coming through, but it’s not recording, that means it’s not armed. Good luck.
@@OllieLoops thanks 🙏🏾
Explained perfectly.. thank you...
Awesome! Glad it helped.
You are a king showing this theory Thanks keep sharing the knowledge
Thanks!
@@Tirso425 No worries. Have fun!
thanks for making this video super well done! would you know how to use a sustain pedal to act as the kick ie allocate to a pad in any way?
Thanks! There are some foot pedals that are midi either via USB or 5 pin din. That should work for what you're looking to do. You would just midi map it like you would any other controller. A typical sustain pedal alone won't be able to interface and midi map like other controllers can.
It's not possible to send midi velocity from the pads in the MPC to an external synth? Thanks for the video! 🎅
Good question. The MPC can send velocity information. But not all synths accept it. Therefore, it will be case by case depending on what gear you intend to connect.
Thank you ! Very helpful video !
Thanks
complimenti per il video ..collegando una tastiera midi posso sfruttare i preset della stessa tastiera in questo caso usando analog lab interagendo con l mpc one ...suoni
Now i know what I'm doing this weekend..thanks!
