toy palloi great video. do you happen to have any ideas of how to rechrome plastic like this? in the effort to restore vintage toys like r2d2 domes etc that have been worn. Thanks.
2019 and i bought a whole case of 6 back in the days from Amok Time toys...they were more shinier and still have them all. Very nostalgic! The amok time came with metal skirt armour as the tower records did not. I was dissapointed the wave with boomer..Baltar..athena and imperial leader was cancelled. I still have the preorder page that showed the figures and wish Neca toys makes these as a 6 inch line for the classic toys.
Great review! I do have to say though that my silver Cylon came with a cloth pseudo "steel" skirt, so it has me wondering if your figure accidentally had it left out or if they identified the oversight and later production pieces included it. To this day I still love these figures even with the advances made in this scale. Thanks for a very good and thoughtful overview.
Neither of my figures have the skirt and were bought in different countries. So I guess they may have added it in a later release. Thanks for the info.
Toy Polloi I believe you are correct because I've seen solid black ones on the Golden version although I do not have that one yet. BTW did you see their original prototypes and how many figures did not get made? See photos here - www.byyourcommand.net/cylongallery/thumbnails.php?album=2405
Great Vid...Very cheaply made figures for a classic sci-fi character. Hopefully one day they will make a decent electronic version of these golden oldies?
They are great figures, but they could have been great ACCURATE figures! There are about 14 inaccuracies with these figures that I have counted! Some of the details are spot on, whilst others are wrong or simply not present! As far as I'm aware, there is not one completely accurate representation of the original Cylon Centurion figures! Why can't sculptors/manufacturers do their jobs properly?!!
Ah the perils of the toy reviewer: "The hands don't hold the weapons very well..." [puts gun in hand, hand holds perfectly] "...USUALLY." I did the same thing in my booth video the other day: "The way the feet are made, this figure won't stand up..." [figure stands perfectly] "...USUALLY." Seems like the quality on those figures was that they were never meant to be opened. And how weird to have pictures of Hatch "endorsing" the figure on the inner flap.
+Toy Galaxy Yeah. I should have re-filmed it, but then I loose my train of thought. I had tried it on the other figure and it just wouldn't hold the gun. Sods law, on this one it worked.I was never sure what made Richard Hatch and expert on toys, except being paid to say it. These came out before the re-boot, so I guess money talks.
Great Review, Great Pieces...is the Belt Removable cos if so you could have the Clip of the Belt at the Back...more Screen Accurate
Cheers

Great review , just need to put the waist belts on the right way , buckle should be at the back .
Hot Toys needs to tackle these.

+Randall Clark I do my first bit of chroming in an upcoming video.I just posted a list of my upcoming videos on my Facebook page.
I believe these are pretty much clothed as the actual actors. A black skin tight lycra suit with a bunch of added parts.
Imagine if NECA got a hold of the licence for the 70s Galactica. Give us an Ultimate Cylon!!
Great video and really nice figures. Where did yo purchase them?? Would love to get my hands on them.
+Jeff Solo The Centurion came from a toy fair in London, the Commander came from a Tower Records in LA. A long time ago.
where did you get the main cylon at
At a toy fair about 20 years ago now.
@@toypolloihave you read the Battlestar Galactica comic book from marvel ever
@@toypolloi howcmuch dud thiey cost to get your hands on
I remember them being about £20 each. But this was a long time back.

I always preferred the Cylon pistol to the rifle. Great review but not tempted. Can't wait for the Colonial Warrior review also.
Nice

wtf? why the thumbs down? Thats as much use as Ann Franks drum kit.
+Justin Cull I know. it's crazy. The trolls are out in force on this video for some reason. Maybe because it's not Star Wars. Who knows.

13 thumbs down? For what?!
+TheNightBadger The trolls are out in force today.
+TheNightBadger I totally agree. I just liked the video to compensate. :)
Star wars Lovers?
