All you work is great but I think the thing I am most in awe of is your ability to color match. It's just a skill you either have or you don't I think.

Amazing restoration work by Dave, returning some well played with, vintage Ghostbusters figures and accessories, to their absolute best.

Although I am a MOTU collector, I find this project extremely impressive and fascinating. As always: well done!

Thanks. Everything I show here can be used on MOTU figures as well.

@@toypolloi i actually did a live mend along to one of your videos a couple of days ago, i found myself in posession of a broken janine fright features ghostbusters toy which had the exact same problem as yours, i fixed the arm allthough the small plastic peg which allows the mechanism to move the eyes and mouth was also snapped and unfortunatly missing but she looks great for display now the arm is re-attached and her hair still flicks up! you have a great channel and resource for the grown men tinkering with old toys community! 👍

Loving this video I grew up watching and playing with the real ghostbusters figures and firehouse and ecto 1 I swear u tried to sort that mold problem on figures on obi wan by bleaching them in peroxide brightening or spot cream to get rid of mold spots my ray had this problem all over and thundercats panthro could do with a solution for this was thinking of leaving them in mold and mildrew spray in a large hot dog jar to try to attempt to get rid of the mold on figures it worked on the nozzles on shower head when I left it to soak in mold and mildrew spray cream cleaner and bleach I just sprayed it on left. It on for a few hours it got rid of the black mold on it

Another enjoyable video! I used to have the GB figures, but I sold them off in the '90s. I do sometimes miss them though, and getting a chance to see them all again in your video makes me want to look for them again--or maybe see about getting some of the newly recasted ones. The fixes you show aren't anything new, but the process is still incredibly enjoyable all the same. Every figure seems to offer its own unique challenges, so seeing you replace parts, touch up the paint, and mend broken bits is always fun to watch from where I'm sitting! It's always amazing how a little clean-up with soap & water, a little paint touch-up, and fixing a few broken bits can really transform toys back into looking very dislay worthy condition! If I hadn't seen you do the repairs, I wouldn't have suspected that any bits had been broken or needed paint. You skills just keep growing and growing, Dave. Very impressive, my friend! Very impressive!

    Hey Dave
They look great, thank you for sharing.
Happy Weekend to you and MrsTP.
Take care of One Another 😊
Ps. I really appreciate/enjoy your longer videos. Having said that, I am happy to watch anything you produce.

Awesome video! I've been trying my hand at restoring some old RGB figures too, but I was too scared to try the boil-and-pop method. Glad you were brave enough to try it, and even more glad to see that it actually worked! Keep up the great work!

Amazing work again, Dave. I've learned so much from your videos over the years. You've led me to grow as a collector and customizer. Your color matching is on another level though. It's like your brain is a computer. Lol

Great video, Dave. I do have a suggestion. For painting eyes and eyebrows, I use an extremely small ball-stylus which I normally use for sculpting polymer clay. It works wonders for paint as well

Great restoration…. I was hoping you might have added the trim colors from the cartoon to each uniform, first custom job I ever did back in the day. But then it wouldn’t be a true restoration. Always had to resist painting the packs black like the movie.

Have you used plastic tools they use to repair mobile phones? It may be less damaging than a screwdriver. Great video, maybe make some custom figures with the parts you have left.
