Both of the groups of the Temptations and the Dramatics were lengery. Their music will always live on in our hearts. Thanks for the music and the memories 🎶 🎵
From my understanding, The Temptations were The Dramatics' major influence. They were once nicknamed The Baby Temps when they first started out. When they audition for Motown Records, they were told that they were too young. They signed with Stax Records, and the rest was history.

I love our talented people. I saw the Dramatics live many times! What really amazes me is how soft David's speaking is and how he turns into a beast while singing! I never saw the Temptations live and I regret that. I recorded this street conference with the Dramatics and the Temps when it was originally aired on tv. I remember diving across a coffee table to get a blank VHS taped to put it in my machine when it was announced that it was coming on.

I would love to hear your comments about these songs!
At the beginning of this video David Ruffin mentioned that he first met Berry Gordy while coming out of Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1957 (Shout out to Langston High Bulldogs back then) singing with the Dixie Hummingbirds, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Womack Brothers and more I was only five (5) years old then but it made me feel good because I'm from North Little Rock, Arkansas about one (1) hour away these days and yes that was the year when President Eisenhower had to call in the National Guard to escort the Little Rock Nine into Central High School to be integrated and last but not least a gentleman that lived in my community and went to school with my family members at Saint Augustine Catholic School was a famous Disc Jockey (DJ) in Little Rock, Arkansas at Radio Station KOKY 1440 (on your radio dial) and he later on became "President of Stax Records" over in Memphis, Tennessee and his name was (You Got It) Mr. Al Bell 🔔 😀 Thank You for reading all of this Proud 😁
