- Hey Scrappers! Josh here with a very deep tutorial today and this time I'll be going over Boris FX Primatte Studio! It's a industry standard when it comes to Chroma Keying any footage and comes FREE when you purchase VEGAS Pro or VEGAS Post (does not come in VEGAS Edit).
To demonstrate the power of this plugin, I purposely recorded terrible footage full of mistakes that would make a green screen key a nightmare. I have uneven lighting, low quality video, and am even wearing something green on my shirt! Watch as Primatte Studio handles it all like a champ!

Great tutorial. Just spent some quality hours attempting to get Boris going after never successfully activating it in 2020 for Vegas18. Alas, this plug in is not in the Boris free packs distributed with Vegas18. The free add-ons are about as clunky an installation ever encountered with Vegas going back to 2004 (maybe it's improved for V19). Going to wait on an upgrade to V19 as V18 is now mostly stable 16 months on.

That has to be done in your streaming software, but yes. It's totally possible.
So, whats the difference in using custom composition mode vs directly dragging it into the clip?
I'm eondering how you can stretch the full frame go pro 4:3 footage to 16:9, while making the middle less worped... In Vegas Pro....Its called "ELASTIC ASPECT RASIO" in Premier Pro.... If you done a video tutorial on it, wod be awesome

Seems far more efficient to just get a proper green screen (i.e. smooth seamless paper) & light setup so you wouldn't have to do this over and over again :-)
Suggestion... Please slow down your narrative. And stop between sentences. This is technically detailed presentation that requires it to be paced to allow time to absorb and to even take notes.
