- Ben Brownlee shows editors just how easy it is to key and composite green screen footage using the power of Continuum Primatte Studio directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro. You don't have to be a compositor to get great results!
Techniques shown apply to all supported hosts including Avid Media Composer, After Effects, VEGAS Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and more.

Best keying for fine hair I've ever seen!
Thank You Boris FX for another great tutorial. Ben Brownlee one of the best in VFX trainning
Great Freaking Video! I learned loads. Solved 95% of my problems. But my foreground man's hands still seem to be artificially imposed, like a tiny black border. Any suggestions?
I've got just the video for you. It uses Resolve as the host, but these techniques work anywhere : borisfx.com/videos/continuum-and-davinci-resolve-get-better-keying-results/
Is this plugin GPU accelerated within Adobe Premiere? does it have the acceleration icon, and is the timeline line yellow?
Sorry for the late reply. No this is not GPU accelerated with Premiere Pro. CPU only. But it does render fast depending on your system and how many of the modules you have turned on.
It's worth giving it a try on your system to see how fast it renders : borisfx.com/products/continuum/
Hello! How can you draw all of a sudden on the mate?? Thanks!
Continuum Primatte Studio lets you just draw in the viewer to help define your matte. A lot easier than pulling sliders!
@Boris FX Can you support the UI for Hitfilm Pro....I know its an ofx but the sample point ui doesnt even show up in HItfilm pro. Instead I have to go to Vegas pro and export it in to Hitfilm Pro
I'll pass that up the ladder for you. We are actively working to support all hosts, but some hosts have problems or limitations that make this more complicated. I will see where we are with Hitfilm support.
please do one for vegas pro 17, this is really not that close to it, thanks,Mike
We're getting more Vegas tutorials done. I will add this to the list.
@@BorisFXco do you already made the one for Vegas Pro? I am using Vegas..thanks!
What if the UI panel doesnt pop up?
You have to have HUD turned on in the Primatte Studio effect and have the filter selected to let Premiere know to draw the overlays.
@@BorisFXco hi, thx for that video, it's really helpful ! :-)
Quick question because the UI panel doesn't pop up either when I click on HUD in the effect controls panel. What do you mean "have the filter selected to let Premiere know to draw the overlays"?
In any case, even without the UI, I selected the same options in the panel ("Matte Status" and "Clean BG Noise") but when I try to do like you nothing happens, I click and drag in the grey areas but nothing (I'm using the selection tool as well). Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Primatte Studio with continuum studio right?
Yes, that's right. Or available as a premium filter : borisfx.com/products/continuum-filters/primatte-studio/?collection=continuum-premium-filters&product=continuum-filter-primatte-studio
no entendí mucho - por que solo hablo español - pero entendí lo suficiente - GRACIAS
Thanks for watching. We will be looking at this project again in future tutorials. These will have translated captions in Spanish.
this is impressive - because that greenscreen was very poor (poorly lit, with shadows and with lot of green bleed)
Thanks. It's not as challenging/"fun" to show a perfectly lit greenscreen shot.
