Love your content! The stuff about job homogenization is good. Also rebalancing lower level content in regards to ilvl sync and stuff.

what they need to do for lower levels is give the core mech(life for dragoon, enshroud for reaper, etc) for all classes. even if you get them via high level job story(cough reaper cough). then when you get higher level you get the rest of the kit that glues everything together.

I wonder if anyone who has a question about healers gets quietly escorted out of the room.
Anyway I'm glad I get to see your take on the media tour. I come here to make sure scholar is being advocated for. Can't wait for DT

Aether, namesake of the data center, and also the life force of everything in FFXIV, is pronounced ee-ther, not ay-ther. The teleportation crystals (aetherytes) are ee-ther-ites,

While I understand why you would write this, aether is an actual word that leads with the ay- sound. If people use it, it's not surprising.

Aether is an actual word, yes, and it is pronounced the same as ether, which is why the “a” was dropped over time. The vowel æ is not common in English, and therefore is typically replaced by “ae”, the same with a punctuation mark called an interrobang (‽) which most people will write as ?!.
That being said, "ae" is almost always pronounced as a long E when it appears at the beginning of a word(with some notable exceptions when the a is dropped altogether, as in aesthetician, or proper nouns such as the name Aethel - which we know today as Ethel), and may be pronounced the same when it appears at the end of a word, but is commonly pronounced with a long A sound when placed at the end of a word (see algae, as both pronunciations are accepted).

We may also look to the ffxiv characters themselves when referring to aether and its pronunciation, the easiest to hunt would be cutscenes containing Y’shtola.

Linguistically you are correct, socially you sound like a pompous asshole correcting someone under their video when they've been a longtime player and millions of players pronounce it either way. It's something that comes across as nitpicky and condescending while your comment doesn't actually pertain to the video itself.
I just put my reply there bc maybe you were getting your lore channels and your player channels mixed up as it is more appropriate to approach a lore channel over spelling and pronunciation than someone who uses puns and excitedly rambles about the game.
Spelling out the sounds as well seems almost like you're talking to a child which is fairly rude, as again, Cole has been playing ff14 for a long time. It does not matter how he pronounces aether as we all understand what he means.
