My husband had a vasectomy in 2004 because I had severe RA & was on poisonous medication like Enbrel. Also, We both had a child each & we had 1 together in 2000 our " love child". We knew the birth control wasn't good & felt satisfied with our 3 total children. We love the freedom of plenty of love without the worry of pregnancy. Anyways, September 2019 we started Keto together & I've put my RA in remission & no longer take prescriptions. We're ketovore now & both have reversed our poor metabolic health. My labs are of an angel my PCP says. We're sending love & peace to you both!

Get well soon Dr B. I had a tubal after my second C-section. I spent my whole life with the irregular periods and after my tubal the cramping in my periods were horrible until I hit menopause. I took birth control pills when I was young for my irregular periods and after going off of them at 30 . It took me to the age of 38 to get pregnant with my first child . Because the BCP 's ruined my hormones and then I had my second child at 42. So I applaud you for not putting Neisha through that...

This was such a great video 😆 Just in case anyone is nervous about tubal ligation, I had it done outpatient. I rested/slept the rest of that day, and was able to go out to lunch, dinner, and a movie the next day, moving slowly and wearing comfy sweats, and then I went to work (desk job) the day after that. And my periods have been like clockwork and 2 days long ever since (15 years). Zero regrets. But I also did it as a single, childfree person who wanted the protection for myself, not as part of a couple or dependent upon someone else's fertility. 10/10, no regrets, highly recommend. 😊
Edit: And because in the low carb world we talk a lot about shitty doctors, I'll give a shout out to all the *great* doctors who respected me and my reproductive rights enough to sign off on what I felt was best for me.

Didn't have any anxiety medication. 6 minutes with my pants, I watched everything, the doctor explained everything before he did anything. I walked out straight feeling than I did, walking in knowing that it was over with. I had no bleeding, bruising, swelling, infection, or discomfort. I had a vasectomy a little over 20 years ago. It is one of the biggest things I’ve done that I regret doing the most. From that day forward I had problems urinating. I kept thinking that it would return to normal once it healed but it never did. The doctor happened to mention that I was his first vasectomy when I was on the table. Would have been nice to know before. I also wished we had tried for another child. I feel like the doctor didn’t properly council me to make sure it’s what I wanted and I also think he was so anxious to get his feet wet that he kind of pushed me into it.

I thought I knew better and could just not follow instructions. The first day of just letting gravity pull on the boys was the worst part of my experience, and that was totally my fault. This video you guys! Seriously had me laughing lol. Definitely sad I won’t be seeing any more Berry babies but you guys have to do what feels right for you! I only have 2 boys and I’m 33 but I really wanted at least 5 by 30 so yeah. I doubt I’ll get any more than the two but I wish! I absolutely love being pregnant and it’s so special with someone you love hands down

Just had mine done 3 weeks ago. Welcome to the team!! Didn't hurt but had a "heaviness" feeling for a couple of days. The surgery was a breeze. I will admit, they put me under so there's that.

Oh, my husband had that done when our 2nd child was 18 months old. He is now 47. So it's been 46+ years. He didn't want me to have to have surgery. It was his idea and his decision. There has never been any regrets for him or me. I was having side effects from birth control pills. And after six months I never had to take those again, thank God, and I thank my husband that it was that important to him.

It is much safer for a mon to have a vasectomy than a woman to go under anesthesia. Good for you Dr. Berry

Heads up - I don’t comment for anyone to contact me in the comments for giveaways. Always assume this is a bot/scam from a fake account. I wish there was a way for me to keep these things out but unfortunately unless I turn off ALL comments it’s just out of my control. I block them but they make new accounts so it’s a continuous issue.

Well Dr Berry that was very brave of you to be videotaped while you were getting a surgery done! And Neisha you're so supportive and sweet. I love seeing you too interact with each other, you are so funny n cute. And I'm glad your doctor was a cool doctor, very low key so that you don't get worried about what's about to happen. Those kinds of doctors are thebest.

A sad day indeed. No more little Berrys in the future.
I used to abuse benzos. Took them and drank with them. Been sober for just over 10 years!!! I still kind of laugh when I see others on them or after surgery.
You both are an inspiration to me. I'm a better person today thanks to you and others like you. Go Ketovore!!!
