Thank you for sharing this. I used to want breast implants very badly. My desires began to shift when the Lord began waking me up to a lot of things. I was a worldly Christian, with one foot in church and one foot in the "pleasures" of sin. Anyway, I was convicted of my sin, and the process of repenting and then becoming more mature in my faith walk- lead me to no longer care about the same things anymore. Also, as a mother of a daughter now, it breaks my heart to imagine her looking at herself through the lens of our culture, rather than her identity in Christ.

I just got my implants out. I had autoimmune symptoms and I even had elevated lab markers. I went to Mayo Clinic and had them do a full workup on me that was negative for autoimmune diseases. I decided to explant. Best decision I have ever made. Even my borderline blood pressure is normal now. Everyone obviously is their own person; however, if you have an autoimmune disease, the implants are not helping. Good luck!

@@NeishaSalasBerry Hi, It may not be the implants causing neck pain Neisha, long story very short: I had car accident with brain injury and neck injury, I could not move my neck up or down or sideways, very bad neck and head pain, so many other symptoms floating feet, blurriness, dizziness, a list of symptoms a page long. Specialists after testing disabled me forever and after 7 years of this I tried a new doctor - NUCCA National Upper Cervical Assoc , (Atlas) - after the first treatment before I even got off the table I was able to turn my neck and look up and down. Amazing... Followed up with 2 month treatment and my life has changed. Point here is when you mentioned on the plane after a nap your neck reacted, it doesnt have to be a serious accident, my doc said he has corrected so many necks after surgery, transferring tables the neck hardly ever is held and secured right, please research this, it has changed my life from bedridden to enjoy living again, I am not fully healed (70%) but too much damage and was 7 yrs before being corrected. So worth it!!!!!

Neisha, I completely agree and align with you. I no longer want to say I “had” breast implant illness, but I did have compounding debts that I believe attributed to my implants being rejected by my body. Thus, my autoimmune conditions with hashimotos was born. Now that I really think about it, I severely under ate all through my 20’s, over training, toxic hurtful relationships, childhood trauma with physical abuse, and environmental disruptions that I’m sure impacted my hormones. Like you said, the implants were the icing on the cake that my body was like, “ya, that’s cute, we’re not doing this.” 😅My plastic surgeon who specializes in explants is strongly against fat transfers as they can show up as lumps on mammograms in the future which may lead to more complications because breast tissue and body tissue are two different types of fat. I am with you, I am rocking the small boob club and feel so much better. Luckily, I had a lift done when I got them in so I didn’t need a lift, but I would have needed a lift if I hadn’t already. I also had the capsule removed and thoroughly scraped. The pain isn’t that bad, day one is intense but afterwards, it’s minimal. I actually worked the following day. I had my implants for 4 years. First year I was fine, 2nd year diagnosed with PCOS, 3rd year diagnosed with insulin resistance, 4th year diagnosed with hashimotos and then I said, “TAKE EM’ OUT!”. Im 32 and finally feeling the best I have ever in my life.
Im not a doctor y’all, just sharing my personal experience and information that I’ve learned after going through my explant last august. Neisha, sending you love and support from Arizona!!! 🌵You’re a role model of mine ❤ -Ashley Marie

I understand how society can make a woman feel she’s not womanly enough if she has small breasts, but to me, it’s so much more feminine to have natural breasts , small or otherwise . The plastic ones scream sexual object more than anything . Im a small framed woman who like many, would look too top heavy with them, and though, I too was thinking about getting mine done , am so glad I chose not to.

Thank you so much for sharing! I've had these babies in for 19, yes 19 years now - but only diagnosed with Hashimotos last year, although I'm certain I've had it MUCH longer. Anyhow, while I do think the implants were a contributing factor, I also suffered through major traumas (main one the sudden loss of my oldest child) which I'm certain started this whole ball rolling. I'm now 51 and look forward to being able to have them out one day in the near future. ❤

I got implants around 1985 , I was 25 yrs old. I got the Dow Corning ones that later came out to be considered " bad". I loved my new look, although I will say I NEVER really liked the way they felt, I was always aware of them. I got married then at around age 30 started thinking about having kids. A friend of mine who was a nurse also had implants sent off for the the FDA report on silicone breast implants of various kinds. My dr at the time had never told me the warnings on the label of my implants nor did he bother to tell me they were indeed NOT fda approved. I think they almost all are now. When reading the FDA report it clearly listed several autoimmune disease increased incidents with the implants. I did not have any autoimmune diseases but just did not want to push my luck. My friend and I both decided to have ours removed this would have been around 1990-91 ish. It was a very big blow to my ego I won't lie. Took a while to get over not being the " hottie" I was before. Well fast forward I am now 62. I absolutely LOVE not having those 2 heavy bricks on my chest. I literally feel lighter , more comfortable and free to move around better. It won't be easy but down the road you will probably love the way you feel without the implants. I do!

@@NewSkiwi well be prepared for the ego deflation.. It will be hard for quite a while I won’t sugar coat it . Get you a padded bra . But in time you will feel more free and confident. I am now 63 since my original posting and I go to the gym about four times a week. I have noticed one thing and that is it seems like fewer and fewer girls are deciding to get implants and I am so glad ,they are pretty girls. They have small breasts. I just wish that I had, not given into that social pressure when I was 25 and just left things alone. I found out later that the women in my family seem to have larger breasts as they age, had I waited I may have as well but anyway, I am happy with my situation now I’m glad that I don’t have those unnatural feeling bricks on my chest.

I had breast implants in 1986 and the day I got them in was the day I was sick. I looked for 7 years to find a plastic surgeon that would take them out, cause the Dr. that put my implants in told me it was all in my head. Right before I had them put in, I was eating a protein diet and had lost 65 lb.'s and worked out every day. I was in tip top shape in and out. I feel like MY body was rejecting them. Now that was me! I have a rare autoimmune disease. My implants looked terrible when they were taken out, they didn't leak, but my body had absorbed the silicone toxins. Once I had mine removed, I chose not to get any other implants. I started feeling better shortly after, but of course I still have an autoimmune disease. I was as small as you were, so I was worried my breast would look bad afterwards. after a year my breast looked good, they were better than before my implants. I have noticed a lot of women are getting their implants removed lately, and they say they feel a lot better. My experience with removal went well, and I healed quick. Good Luck, you will be in my thoughts and prayers when you have your surgery. I'm sure everything will go well. 💓

This is a highly personal topic. I am not for or against implants/explants. My cousin is a nurse. She had implants for about 10 years and then bought into everything she read about BII... She blamed implants for the majority of her symptoms and she made a concerted effort to send BII information out to everyone she knew who had implants because she was sure they were slowly killing people. The truth is, she never committed to living a healthful lifestyle not before, during or after implants. She did not exercise or eat properly. She was overweight and blamed implants for that too. She explanted 2 years ago but hasn't changed anything else and guess what? Every one of those problems remain. I am grateful we live in a country where we are free to make choices, like these, and many others about our bodies.Thank you for sharing and I truly hope your feel much better with or without implants..

Didn't take the narcotics...I don't think I have a high pain tolerance...I just haven't been moving around much. My Dr said to wear the bra for a few weeks..or one of my own...(waiting for my new one to arrive) as I didn't have one that fit that was comfortable. The one they sent me home in the after surgery was very uncomfortable because it was too tight and rubbed on the sutures which are dissolving over time. I'm a month out, tomorrow and I have more energy than I have had in years. I'm walking on a rebounder about 5,000 steps daily. My right implant was really encased so my surgeon had to remove quite a bit of tissue. He managed to find enough tissue to reshape it. I cannot wait to get my new bra and toss this one for good. I had 2 breast implant surgeries and the second set were a nightmare. Contracture and a corner of one of the implants protruded thru my skin and nearly caused me to end up in toxic shock. The surgeon couldn’t do a lift because he said there was nothing left to lift. My skin actually thinned out from the implants. I now look like a truck ran over my chest but I just wear a padded bra when I feel like it. I mostly wear an athletic bra and no longer care that they are small. Wasn’t worth the pain and all the $ spent for vanity.

Very well explained and honest. I am pleased with my implants from my reconstruction after double mastectomy in 2018. Even though the process involved multiple surgeries and infections, I would have been devastated if I had to have no implants. However, if in the future, I thought they were making me ill, I could see changing my mind. BTW hubby wanted them bigger while I just wanted them perkier. I got what I wanted and he has been fully supportive and also pleased with the end result.

Thank you for sharing your story. I do believe most women who get breast implants are doing it for themselves. I would say it's an extreme minority that are actually doing it for a man specifically. In my twenties I very much wanted implants and I considered it and did research. My boyfriend who became my husband was very much against the idea. He liked me exactly how I was. And so I guess that helped persuade me not to go ahead with the operation. Now I'm 62 and I'm really glad that I never got any implants. And I actually love my boobs and they have served me very well. And it's possible to have a better relationship with your body actually in your 60s than we did in our twenties, when we were so hard on ourselves. Ladies it's really a powerful thing to be able to accept your body as it is and just be as healthy as you can be.

I’ve never been the same since 4 years ago . I know the surgery triggered it and I’ve done everything natural to therapy and medication with improvement but not full healing in no way at all and I did elimination diet for 6 months before I was at my worst and keto gut 6 months before that snd I still got extremely unwell. Now I am in supplements, gluten free dairy free low sugar and juicing , physical therapy, shots snd injections, vitamin therapy and so much more just to function . It’s so insane. The lord has literally shown me everything to do do get better to where I am now at first I was stuck in bed and literally crawling around my home to get to room to room so I’ve made progress for sure but dang I’m not the same snd I was the energizer bunny for sure . Hello neisha.. I worked on plastic surgery floor and it was amazing and we had a lot of breast implant surgery.. good for you young lady and so kind of you to share with women your age to give them the pros and con and help them not to make any mistakes that they're not ready for. I have taken care of patients that had implants taken out and also patience that were so big that they had to have surgery to have normal breast and it's a challenge for both women but I'm sure you know that and you will do well because you have a loving husband to support you and believe me that's important.. so loving for you to share. You are right there's always a risk however the women that I've taken care of did well and there was never any complications with any of them.

Thank you for your honesty. I’m on the flip side of the itty bitty. I was among the big booby brigade from the time I was 13. Was a DD by the time I was 15. They never stopped growing. Fast forward after marriage, kids and life. In my 30s I found myself spilling out of a size F bra. Yes there is a size F. I knew I would soon be wearing a G size. So I made the hard decision to see a plastic surgeon. He informed me if I didn’t have a breast reduction my back would only get worse. So I made the decision to have reduction surgery. I went from a size F to a size D and my back thanked me. I was like you are now. I just didn’t care anymore about how my boobs looked. All I wanted was for the excruciating back and neck pain to stop.

Almost every time I think “wow I wish I had those” it turns out it are implants. Nature gave me as much as you and it was a big insecurity and being 22 now, I still wish they could grow maybe even just a little more… maybe when I have kids I hope… Ive started to accept it, but I still wish for a miracle so obviously I’m not accepting it fully…. I took them out and had a lift. At 69 I still have celiac but the proper human diet has helped. I am a 38 B and so happy with my personal choice. It is a personal choice. I hope one day you decide to share more about your past and how you overcame it. Not because it's anyone's business, but to be a voice of wisdom for those that don't know.
So many men and women have been through so much but don't share those lessons with the younger generations or even their peers. So a lot of people are getting into situations that may be prevented had they just known the signs or their worth.
A lot of people are suffering through things in silence. Not knowing they don't have to or that it is possible to end that cycle.
Again I'm not putting it on you that you have to share as many others do and have. It's just the more voices, the more lessons, the more diverse perspectives, and the more ears that can hear.

I actually reimplanted after about 4 years because I didn’t think the implants caused my health challenges after all. My doctor found half of a capsule in on one side! The explant doctor said he got everything out! My mental health went downhill so much from the explant as well. There’s a group called explant regret group. I never developed an autoimmune disorder either. I’m planning on eating clean and living as clean as possible to support my body. I think many of my issues were stress and bad diet for 30 years! Not just breast implants. I also had severe anemia and treating that made a big difference. Thanks for sharing your story. No doubt having breast implants can add to your rainbarrel of exposure to toxins. But I was diagnosed with hypo (later to realize I actually had Hashi after I ran a full panel myself), a few years BEFORE I got my implants. I was already VERY small and after breastfeeding my first child for 2 years, there was NOTHING left. I also had done fertility treatments for a year and thought I'd just have an only child, then got them. After that I had a surprise preg, and took clomid to have 2 more babies @ 40 and 42. I breastfed all my babies. They are healthy and I'm much healthier overall than when I was young, despite having Hashi's.

Neisha, this hits me on so many levels. I too am/was small breasted. I'm 55 overtime, I went naturally, from A to B, which is really great, but I now no longer care (didn't care for many moons). haha! I love them just the way they are. I had 4 beautiful children in the span of 5 years, but I did have difficulty nursing exclusively due to slightly tuberous breasts and lack of support in this regard. This greatly saddened me at the time, but thankfully, I realized long ago when they were till little uys & gal, that Love is far more important than a full 'milk supply' and if there's no problems with breastfeeding, then awesome. However, if there is, this may hurt to deal with, but nursing or not nursing is not some sort of badge of honor. Our love for our children is the true marker of motherhood.

FDA now has the ingredients of all implants listed on the website including their heavy metal contents and the chemicals released by the implant. Before you can have breast augmentation surgery Everyone Has to sign a BII, Cancer & auto immune disease waver. Along with you know that some patient report complete resolution of symptoms after removing the implant and not replacing them. This is a HUGE deal as if I would’ve known anything like this I would’ve never got my implants back in 2008 or got them replaced in 2015. I have CIRIS an autoimmune condition that symptoms resemble BII … I’ve done pure, full animal foods only for over a year and only improved 65% so that is how I knew something else was wrong. It’s my implants!! I have my appointment to get them properly removed and it takes 5 months or more to see a Dr that specializes in it. I am so sad. I have to wait almost half a year. I now know I can’t improve anymore until they are out. I have a far infra red sauna I have to sit in every morning or my extreme fatigue and depression is to much.
