- In this video I remove the stock exhaust from my 7.3 powerstroke diesel Ford Excursion, and replace it with a 4 inch straight turboback exhaust. This video covers the removal of the stock system, installation of the new system, and multiple tests for sound and driving comparisons. The Ol blue excursion is slowly transforming from grandpa mobile to badass ride.

Installed my 4inch in 07 on my 02, 7.3L Excursion and have loved it ever since. Great sound, I left the big muffler on. 👍👍👍. 10-16-2021
Good video! Installed Banks Monster 4" exhaust stainless system with muffler on my 2000 7.3L Excursion. The down pipe was a challenge, but one person worked from the bottom while I watched the top. Pretty straight forward installation after the down pipe was in. The Banks system has very good installation instructions and, YES. pictures. System fit like it was made for the truck- well, I guess it was made for this truck.
I love how they sound straight piped.
Nice I appreciate you not skipping some key stuff in that install! Sounds really good too, I noticed you have the same head unit in the cab that I have in my Cummins. About to purchase an 01 excursion for the family ride the sound of that exhaust has me hyped!
Thanks for the support bud. I know that alot of folks might find some of the more repetitive parts of the videos boring, but i include them anyway so that people get to see the whole project, and not just the highlights. Your gonna love owning one of these.

@@josephoverstreet5584 tiny bit of unburned fuel. I havent seen a 7.3 that doesnt do that. The motor turns over a few revolutions before it lights off and the puff is the partially combusted fuel
nice were going with the 5" . i wish they would make a excursion with the 6.7 but thats just me
Just bought a very clean 99 F 250, previous owner installed a 4” exhaust, with muffler, I think that muffler needs to go.

After hearing about the clamp heights aka wrong lengths, I am wondering if the lower clamp on down tube and 1 on rear of tailpipe needed to be flip flopped. It does sound good though. If somewhere down the road you want to put a muffler on, I'd recommend a glasspack muffler only. Will give it a bark but won't restrict exhaust flow.
Hi, is the transfer case BW 1356? the same as on the F-250 on this car?
What exhause kit is this and is it for an excursion or f250/f350?
Its a 4 inch turbo back MBRP. This particular model is for an excursion as the over the axle portion is slightly different to accomodate for the rear mounted fuel tank that excursions have. I havent made a video about it yet, but im super stoked to be in the process of setting up an online store that will support and sell the producs that I use in my videos.
