Her interviewing created the tension. She was addressing them as separate artist rather than just focusing on them as a group.
You're absolutely right!!
Y'all have too think she was just asking questions that every body wanted too know at that time. Each separate interviews they act like they dint want too say....hell we were the fans...we wanted too know!So too ha e them all in one interview that was rare at that time(fans wanted too know)I remember. They was all over the place at that time leaving fan's confused....she was just asking what ALL the fans wanted too know....Are y'all together? Is Bobby back?New album coming soon?BBD was doing they thing and Bobby and Johnny!Just think about in that moment not today time because we know the outcome now.
The all were separate artist at that time except for BBD....they just getting together for a reunion tour and talking about getting together.....fans wanted know!It was curious too see what was going to happen with Bobby....he had going on at that time!We dint know what was going behind the seen then...now we do because of the movie.
Nope. First was the Bobby interview. Second was the Ralph interview. Then they all got interviewed together on the same show. They were all doing solo projects at the time (BBD, Bobby, JG had already put out their solo projects and Ralph was getting ready to drop his debut solo album).
I agree bro she should kept it real cause these guys was the truth with their Music🎼👊💯
Bobby's back there cracking up. I guess he said, "for once, I am not in the hot seat!!" 😂
Right right!!!!
You both could be right
Also because Bobby had blown up bigger than all of them
At least was nice to see Bobby in humourous mood amongst his ex bandmates after the arguments and fights leading to his departure from NE
@@jonblazeinc Bobby Brown was on top of the world
That dude from Empire was spot-on Micheal Bivens. BET did their thing.
Yes his sound, his clothes, his vibe
Dee Dee M Agreed
He really looks like Young Mike Biv
Yazz's vibe is so much like Mike's. They all were so perfect for their roles. 👏
It's Bivins.
Ralph really was pushing NE I kinda felt bad for him, he was all for NE even when they tried to get him to go solo earlier he was like I'm not doing unless we a group ! true team player.
the true mvp
Meezey Tv yeah you will push for NE when the 3 guys you thought "needed" you and weren't shit ended up being pop sensations
Ima bigbitch Ralph T fanatic.
Ima bigbitch. Ralph will always be needed when it comes to New Edition. BBD ain't been "pop sensations" since 1990. When it comes to BBD all people give a damn about is Poison meanwhile
Ralph Tresvant's voice is NE signature sound the best male group ever.
Fake News I totally agree! And the last shall be the first!
Ralph really looked out for everyone. Real homie that was all about Us instead of I
Amen!!
True. He sung half of Bobby Brown's album imitating his voice because Bobby was MIA high and drunk without taking credit
Ralph was always that way...meanwhile he was pushed out front and still made sure others felt the love

@@aaroniic one that several people who were there have corroborated
Just re-watched The New Edition Story and came across this interview. And wow! Every single actor cast in the Biopic was SPOT ON. Woody McClain, Luke James, Keith Powers,Bryshere 'Yazz' Gray, Elijah Kelley & Algee Smith literally embodied New Edition and they did it so well👏🏽🔥🔥
Indeed they did!!!

Ralph's a peacemaker who looks out for everyone. Love u man
Ralph was hurt because he could've went solo a long time before and he wanted his friends with him! Aw
Exactly he could of been with soloas a kid
Her interview was wrong from the start. She tried to focus on why they all separated. Ralph was right. It was supposed to be a NE interview.
Them breaking up is a big part of the History of NE
I couldn’t stand her. When she took over on video soul, I stopped watching it.
I agree with you 100
I agree, she should've been talking about them as a group. She was being messy.😏
But Ralph and Bobby had their own interviews before this. They had their shine let the other guys have their moments.
You know its a wild interview when Bobby is the most chill lmaoooo
Right 🤣🤣🤣

Exactly she created the drama she was irritating me
Same thing i thought. i remember seeing this back in the day in middle school.
Totally agree
Somebody had to say it......
Ralph mad as hell. He pushing NE hard and nobody else is trying to
Ralph comes off salty in this segment but he gets the upmost respect for staying true to his friends and not leaving them behind in the OP. The rest of the fellas didn't know at the time that Ralph could have signed solo to Streetwise Records but held out for the fellas....without that selfless move there would be no Bobby Brown or BBD.....
fr. Ralph was doing all the work, the others were just dancing !😭 line from the movie
Aaleah Lewis Ralph and Bobby did all the work
Mike is mad because Ralph keeps stealing camera time by answering BBD questions that he feels one of them should be answering. This shit is hilarious to watch! I love it.

Most people don't know that New Edition paved the way for the #1, and #2 biggest Hip-Hop/R&B groups of the 90s. Boyz II Men and TLC. Michael Bivins discovered Boyz II Men, he also met Lisa Lopes in a club in Atlanta. It was there that he christened her "Left Eye," because her left eye was more slanted then her right. Also, BBD was the inspiration for TLC. The ladies didn't want to sound like every other female R&B group in tight clothes, singing break up ballads. So they took their inspiration for BBD, the New Jack Swing sound, their image, TLC just made it brighter, baggier, and put condoms on it. Also to this day, TLC will always say BBD was, is their biggest inspiration. NEW EDITION is the foundation for what became the most successful R&B group of all Time, and The Best Selling Female Group of All Time. NE did that!!!!
Matthew Harjo the BBD, New Jack Swing sounds was in their Ooooooohhh On The TLC Tip album
Matthew Harjo TLC is a female version of BBD
The were also managed by ronnie uncle as well
Lady Phanthom did Brooke Payne had a heart attack during the Home again tour?
Jason Voorhees I believe so

I can just feel the tension between Mike and Ralph...
BriBri981000 right
BriBri981000 sure, Mike have an issue with Ralph; Jealousy?
Naturally
Mike told a story that he sent his mother to Ralph's house because Ralph didn't catch a flight for a show when they were younger. Mike's mom told him that Ralph didn't answer the door but she knew he was inside because she heard him playing music. When the music stopped she knocked again and Ralph still didn't answer. Mike said he decided going forward that he and Ralph would be business partners only because he didn't appreciate Ralph not opening the door for his mom. It was on a show called Life After on TV One. It had been on UA-cam but I'm not sure if it still is. It was broken into maybe 5 or 6 parts. Not sure if Mike still feels that way today bc it aired maybe 6 years ago.
I remember watching that interview.
BriBri981000 is that why Ricky sitting in the middle of them?
I sure as hell hope she didn't do any more interviews after this..... she's all over the place.

blackturkdog Mike is a businessman not an artist. Mike even says he can't sing but can hold a note whatever that means.
Ralph is such a sweetheart..... He deserved so much more for all his sacrifices ❤️❤️😘
What did he sacrifices
Ralph didn’t want to discuss the separate careers, he wanted to focus on the “ New “ New Edition they were trying to promote. He was in his feelings LOL but they were all there repping their own individual styles and clearly had huge successes, with the exception of Ralph ( who unfortunately did not have the same solo success) I think he just wanted to get back New Edition business because that was the true catalyst for all the other careers in the first place.

The all had love, and all sacrifice. We saw the edited version. Reality Rickey sacrificed because he was primarily the lead singer until they recorded the album. Mike never really wanted to be about the group as a profession, it was more than just the one talk from his mom to get him to sign.
It was not Ralph's fault or the others fault that he did all the singing. They were all frustrated, but took it out on who they could get away with taking it out on, each other.
