Well done that kid Jesse for owning Bill, so much so Bill resorted to calling a child a pin head. Man im glad that dude isnt on TV in the UK, what a total prick he is.
he didn't own anybody. all he did was be rude to an adult that was definitely right in this case. my school wouldn't allow other kids to be interviewed for the paper talking about their drug use because it was INAPPROPRIATE. It's ok to tell your stories, but to have it be posted or said in an assembly is not right for children in HIGH SCHOOL!!
+Alexander Huebner regardless, who was right, who was wrong, I don't care. I'm talking about the way this man conducts himself. The kid was not rude, however the poor excuse for an adult calls the child a pin head because his view was challenged. That is very wrong.
+Alexander Huebner At a very young age, around 10 to 13(it was a while ago so memory is fuzzy), my uncle told me about how he did lsd, meth, pot, slept with bookers, and told me how he regretted it because it led him to the rock bottom that he is still recovering from. My family (on one side) has ALWAYS been open to me about their past and told me their stories. I'm now 18 and I've never drank alcohol, I've never smoked Anything legal or illegal, I've been pressured but felt no urge to whatsoever and that is because I was told OPENLY and HONESTLY the real dangers of drugs BEYOND what it does to your body. It may be inappropriate but it shouldn't be inappropriate. That's like not telling kids in schools that we were responsible for mass genocide of Native Americans because some would deem it unsavory... OH wait. We need to drop these outdated taboos.
Bill just talks over the kid when he senses himself losing. The kid had some valid points, but we couldn't even hear what he was saying. It's one thing to win a debate on hard evidence and logic. It is quite another to drown out what the other person is saying because you don't want people to hear it.
That's how O'Reilly argues his points. O'Reilly and all other anti-science people think that logic, reason, facts, direct quotes, proof, data, and evidence are irrelevant and the only thing that is relevant is their beliefs and viewpoints. It's not about getting a message across or proving your point, it's about winning an argument. Watched a video made by an anti-vaccine person that was titled "Never lose another vaccine argument again!" Which is shocking because I never thought any of them would admit losing an argument ever... I digress; to them it's not about saving lives, preventing unnecessary suffering and disease, preventing permanent harm from preventable illness, and lowering the cost of healthcare; it's only about winning an argument.
Have you ever watched a debate on the news? When ever the "minority" starts to win the host of the show just talks over them so they look better. This is why the news is trash and I just learn the news from articles on the internet.
Doc Mike Great point. Just wanted to let you know that you have been blocked for spam, undoubtedly by some O'Reilly lover. I unspammed your comment so I could read it; I hate it when that happens to me.
@Ryan Mashy yeah I get it.. I hope your buddy can recover. My dad also fell into psychosis for about a week and had after effects for about six weeks that affected him deeply..
@@woudgy LOL! I doubt O'Reilly truly understands any socio-economic concepts, just his own take on the world from a limited bandwidth. Merriam Webster defines pinhead, as applied to a person, as "a very dull or stupid person; FOOL." I always think of Pinhead from the Hellraiser saga.
I’m all for having discussions between parties with opposing views but holy shit how is anyone supposed to get a word in with how much Bill kept speaking over the young man?? Bill, get transcripts and rebuttal if you think what this 16yr old is saying is wrong.. fight facts with facts regardless of opinion.. if he’s wrong then respond with proof rather than using the “loudest person in the room” tactic.
It’s hilarious to watch a fully grown man who pretends to have a great deal of maturity and knowledge in all types of subjects nearly instantaneously turn into an angry teenager… meanwhile the actual high schoolers act with more maturity than Bill evidently has ever had. Really shows how the “wisdom” innately associated with older adults has little basis in reality.
For anyone curious, Jesse Lange (the HS student with the quotes) is now a Senior Management at Pegasystems and graduated from Tufts University on the Dean's List. He's done really well for himself :')
That’s Bill O’Reilly getting owned (quite easily, I must say) by a sixteen year old on his own show. It’s amazing. In not even five minutes, he was literally called out by someone who I’d wager as being roughly a quarter of his age, maybe slightly older, for doing the exact thing that he went on to accuse the sixteen year old of doing, and resorted to calling him a pin head. Like, this debate consisted of him saying something that contradicted his book and the sixteen year old pointing that out, on his own TV Show, on National Television. Just… well done.
This demonstrates how thoroughly prepared you need to be just to stay level with these types of anchor. eg 'what did you learn....OK go!' With many teenagers prepared average or worse that would result in vagueness, faultering or floundering, and O'Reilly obviously planned to pounce and say 'sounds like there wasn't much of any value' but he wasn't given the chance. The biggest thing the kid in the middle showed up wasn't just that Bill was wrong, but rather the utterly loaded prejudged way he was setting up to address the segment, and by extension I'm sure many other segments.

Watched a video made by an anti-vaccine person that was titled "Never lose another vaccine argument again!"
