Part 1: Jon Stewart Goes Head-to-Head Bill O'Reilly
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 вер 2024
- Tonight on The O'Reilly Factor, Jon Stewart attacked Bill O'Reilly about his objections towards rapper Common's visit to the White House, being that he wrote a song about a woman who killed a NJ state trooper. Stewart tells O'Reilly that even Bono wrote a song about Leonard Peltier, convicted of killing two FBI agents. Now, that subject gets Bill a little heated.

I think my favorite part is O'Reilly's crew laughing at him while Stewart just takes him apart.
And that was not the whole segment. Time and again Jon was debating against Bill in his own show got the better of him. Jon is the GOAT among debaters.
Wait when did that happen?
You actually hear it quite a lot on O'Reilly factor
This guy is blowing my mind, I never knew someone could be so hilarious and so damn intelligent at the same time
Bill is definitely the man
@@johng8671 It took you 6 years and 9 months to come up with that. Lame.
@@truthseeker308 And 6 years later you still support a man who supports a convicted cop killer hiding in Cuba, you're lame.
@@benadam7753 Umm, that's quite possibly the lamest come back ever.
Next up "You supported someone's father's, nephew's, sister's, cousin's former roommate." :P
@@truthseeker308 I'll take my lameness over your smugness
Best line... Stewart: "Now who's pettifogging. Now I can't even see you." Hahaha.
Stewart completely embarrasses O'Reilly in this, as most people do.
I'm glad a conservative realizes this. I respect you.
Haha, O'Reilly got handed his ass. Never saw that before!!
Jon Stewart and Common should do a collaboration
Just...awsome.
John Stewart on fire! I would've liked to see O'Reilly's response to that, though
"Now who's pettifogging? Now I can't even see you through your pettifog!"
"You know I got mad love for you, that's a rap phrase." lol cracked me up
So much respect for you, Jon. I know it's not easy to repeatedly stand up to bullies and keep it light hearted, yet profound at the same time. It's comforting to know we have your voice in this hostile world.
Thank you Jon Stewart for standing up to this man and his extreme idiocy and ignorance.
If Jon Stewart was a hot iron, and Bill was a piece of curly hair, he just got set straight. He shut his ass down with facts, something Bill is not familiar with, due to fact he just regurgitates what his handlers want him to say.
You're a fuckin moron
You're a moron
He is a pandering pussy
LOL! Jon Stewart is an asshat!
Little known fact: Jon Stewart was subsequently convicted of absolutely murdering Bill O'Reilly during this interview.
Looks like Jon couldn’t go to the white house anymore either after this murder
He just needs to write a song about his own murder and will be invited 😂
You know you've lost the argument when your staff is laughing with Jon Stewart against you.
If you turn up your volume at the end there, you can actually hear O'Reilly's head explode.
Bill O'Reily just got owned!!!!
If you support antisemitic bigotry and hatred then yea Jon Stewart won.
Donnie Y. He’s jewish tf
@@donniey.8891 Care to elaborate on that?
I met J Stewart in 94 at a restaurant I was working at. Cool as hell! Talked to him for about 5 minutes and then he took my name and put me on the VIP list at the comedy club. He killed it! Funny as hell!
Can't believe I never came across this before. Really powerful at the end there.
BOO-YAH!
I like how the description of the video says that Stewart 'attacked' O'Reilly. Jon Stewart never insulted O'Reilly, never hit him, didn't talk down to him or about his job. How on Earth is any part of this video considered an attack.
Goes head-to-head is somehow the same as attack? I dont think so.
You’re wrong mate
@@KurtSlotkowski-hj8jd Read the description of the video(not just the title, as I'm sure you do with all news articles).
I'll help you out: "Tonight on The O'Reilly Factor, Jon Stewart attacked Bill O'Reilly about his objections towards rapper Common's visit to the White House,"
Correct me if I'm wrong, and I hate to be wrong with you, cuz you know I got mad love for you (that's a rap phrase), but "attacked" IS somehow the same as 'attacked'.
I think so. ;)
Obviously you're an O'Reilly Apologist. Nice try dummy.
Fox Insider pettyfogged the substance of the video. Mic drop. That's a rap phrase.
I don't actually think people realize how much of a LEGEND Jon Stewart is for tearing apart O'Reilly's WHOLE ARGUMENT in that way. Brilliant
And that my friend is why jon stewart is the awesomist person inmedia. So much so i made up that word
I watched the Daily Show a lot as a kid but honestly I think these kinds of moments are where Stewart shined more than on his own show, both comedically and intellectually. His wit may be best exemplified when he's thinking on his feet, rather than with pre-written material.
O'Reilly loves Stewart and hates him because of that. lol. I think they have a secret bromance.
I love their interviews. Bill O’Reilly is terrible, but together they have some good conversations
Jon Stewart, I tip my hat to you
david bias you had 5 years and 9 months to come up with that and you still couldn’t bother to spellcheck it...
I think I've watched this video about 20 times, literally. It's just a beautiful, beautiful thing. Massive respect to Jon Stewart
Coming back to this years later, and it's still as amazing as it was originally. We miss you, Jon.
BOOYAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats a hiphop phrase
Trevor Noah is funny, witty and articulate, but THIS right here is the reason why the Daily Show doesn't work without Jon Stewart.
so true
I feel the same way, When Jon Stewart left the the Daily Show, I left with him ! ! I like TN but he is definitely NO JS !
@@oscarmm3 You should give it another shot. Jon Stewart is irreplaceable, but Trevor has wisely decided not to try to imitate Stewart because that would fail miserably. He's taking the show in his own direction, while still being the objective beacon that Jon Stewart was.
The only thing funny pertaining Trevor Noah is your hilarious joke that he _is_ funny.
Trevor Noah is funny, witty and articulate HAHAHAHAHAHA GOOD ONE!
Stewart absolutely wiped the floor with O'Reilly on this. And boy is it beautiful to watch
Jon Stewart finish him ... fatality🙌🏽
Jon Stewart's the only guy that has ever shut down Bill O'Reilly quick enough to keep him from talking over him.
they had to cut the video off before O'Reilly started crying
Anyone think it’s odd how they have altered this video to remove the part where Jon Stewart says “analogous” and it confuses Bill O’Reilly? Right around 4:08 (when John says, “they’re similar”) there was an entire like 30 second section that has been removed. And multiple others that have been removed since I watched this a little over a month ago. They cut those parts out. (And yes it’s the same video…I had to check my history because I thought maybe I was looking at the wrong video) 😏
Glad to see who posted the video.
It's crazy that 12 years later and this hits harder than it did when it was filmed. Great job Jon Stewart 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
3:06 you can hear the guys laughing HAHAHHAHAAHAU
Jon is not only freaking funny, he's equally amazing on how he responds!
I've never seen Bill sit so silently during a rebuttal from a guess. He had what we call in urban America, "the hush mouth." LOL
Or the muck face... We just say "muck"
John Stewart line of the year - "Correct me if im wrong, cause i dont wanna be wrong when im with you, cause i got mad love for you
i love how stewart always stays calm and almost submissive, while o'reilly is always blowing his horn and having fits and still gets his ass kicked by stewart
"Now i can't even see you through your pettifog!"
Ironically enough, I just watched an interview with Jon Stewart (on Fox News, nonetheless) stating that he is a comedian first, but he also is a source of news for people that want to know the news, with or without all the humor he throws in there. You're right, and I agree with every word you say. Jon Stewart > Bill O'Reilly every day
hell ya stewart!
"you know I got mad love for you. That's a rap phrase." I laughed so hard at that. I love John Stewart!
I applaud your courage Mr. O'reilly. In this society it's difficult for a conservative man to oust himself as a homosexual but you had the strength to do just that.
Jon Stewart for president
I was curious as to Stewart's claim that Bono should not have been allowed to visit the Bush white house because Bono honored Leonard Peltier in a song. It seemed that Steward had an excellent point, so I did some research. Turns out that Bono visited the White House under Bush in 2002, but the song Vertigo that was inspired by Leonard Peltier was not released until 2004. So, at the time of Bono's visit, he had not written the song. Thus this particular example is mute.
Well Bill, lets hope you learned something from this show, you did no homework on the possible answers you might get anndddd...Jon kicked your butt because of it...tough call Bill...
4:46 ...
Damn...now THATS how you end an argument!
This guy is unbeatable. Don't mess with Jon Stewart when deep down you know that he is right.
Jon definitely won this
I've watched this like four times.. Love it. Stewart is amazing.
I looove jon stewart
Bless John Stewert. He will always be a cherished legend
"Do you know how many poets would have liked to have been there?"
More poets than you know Bill
Jon Stewart just “aladeened” on Bill’s face! 😂 😝
I agree with Bill O’Reilly here but he is such a bully and in general. Never lets anyone speak and never entertains the idea of there being two sides to an argument.
5:04 is when O'Reilly realizes hes been owned
it's always a pleasure to see this video every once in a while, jon stewart at its best
Bill O'Reilly is just staring at Jon thinking "Is he still talking?"
That's the sad part of this whole thing. Jon Stewart was making very good points, but even if he gave the best argument in the world, O'Reilly still wouldn't change his mind. He didn't care. He just moved on with his day and the next program at Fox was just as guilty of pettifogging as every previous episode. That's what really frustrates me about people like Bill O'Reilly. They'd rather dig a trench and die defending it instead of admitting that they were wrong.
Lol so great that Bill O'Reilly has since been disgraced for sexual misconduct. Glad to see him go.
That's impressive. Wow
So bill O'Reilly just got owned
I'd have been so impressed if O'reilly had just said "Well, damn. That's a good point. I guess you got me there."
"BOOYAHHH!!!"
Update 11/24/20: O'reilly is still trying to figure out what just happened, and he can no longer return to his table, because it got turned SO HARD that Jon caused an irreversible crack in the space time continuum. More to follow. Please post updates if anyone has anything on this developing story.
Oreilly 100% correct as usual
BOOYA that's a rap phrase
Again boooooooooyahhhhhhh!!!!
Wow. Stewart murdered this man.
Is this perry mason? Lmao die every time
i love how sophisticated and non-offensive jon stewart stays in comparison to o'reilly.
I miss Jon Stewart
These new crazy leftists make me miss the days of Jon Stewart liberals.
i remember the things said in the video were the dumbest things ive ever heard....but now...
Classic😂😂😂
haha "NOW I CAN'T EVEN SEE YOU!"
Got damn it Jon would you just run already.
For president. Some of you guys are slow.
Damn, O'Reily's "Common Routine" didn't seem to go as planned haha. I think he's very-much wrong in saying that people need a "resume" to enter the White House. I mean FYI, rapper Eazy-E was invited to have dinner with former President George Bush Sr., in the White House! With those unfamiliar with Eazy-E, he was the main artist of the infamous rap group N.W.A, who had MAJOR beef with US Government and Law Enforcement, and had a hit single "Fuck tha Police." C'mon O'Reily, gotta do that research
boooooooyyyyyaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
4:27 LMAO!!!
Well done John. Thought O'Reilly had him at the start, but John was exceptionally patient before finishing him off
What a beautiful checkmate!
HURRICANE CARTER,WAS INNOCENT!!
BOO-YAH!!!
Oh man, watching this in 2024... what must O'Reilly think about the company trump keeps?? 😂😂
Where's Bill?!?! Kanye's at the WhiteHouse! BWHWHWHAHHA
"There is a selective outrage machine...here at FOX..."
WELL SAID...and 100% ACCURATE.
Jon, as always...is THE MAN...;)
"I can't even see you through your pettifog!" lololol
Woah Jon.. Bóo Yah... Lol Smfh
This is my fav shit. True civilized discourse.
"BOOO YAAA!!! That's a Rap Word" lol
Carefull --> They use a different "camera angle and framing" for Stewart to make him appear smaller, weaker... Big banner on bottom, a big gap on top... His face appear in the middle of the screen and the bottom line is the shoulder line. But they framed O'Reilly bigger, from a lowered camera to make him bigger and stronger, fully framed, all the logos etc seems smaller when he is on screen.
Know the tricks boys...
When the video ended, all I heard in my mind was "BAM"
Bill O'Reilly is a genius whether you people realize it or not. Jon Stewart did nothing but make a comparison. The point Bill was making is: let's say that a guy who is a mass murderer is convicted wrongly (which was an assumption made by Jon Stewart) you should not promote that person because it's condoning what that person stands for. Sure, it doesn't condone EVERYTHING he's done in his life, only what he's done as a public figure. How would you feel if the president promoted Britney Spears?
He believes that COMMON thinks she is INNOCENT, therefore it sounds rationalto him ... taking the side of someone who takes the side of a convicted Cop Killer.. rather extreme , no ? when on the other side of his mouth, he is saying t hat ANYONE who is NRA ( law abiding Citizens) have BLOOD on their hands... you dont see the Hypocricy in that ? Innocent People guilty with Blood on their hads, COP KILLERS CONVICTED , "may" be innocent... who is Stewart to "debate" this ? was he on the JURY?
Yet when Fox proudly states O'Reilly is also an entertainer. The bigger issue is that Stewart, despite being a comedian bases his career on the illogical, strange, and down right ignorance of the political world. The fact an "entertainer" can make valid points based on the words of O'Reilly himself does not lower his position. Stewart has an opinion, and can voice it in a excellent manner, yet more importantly he can do it in any forum.
I understand what O'Reilly is saying, I don't agree with it but I respect his opinion. Bill, Common was invited to the White House to celebrate his accomplishments and his gift as a rapper/poet, that in no way correlates that the White House celebrates cop killers or that Common does, I believe Jon is right in that he believes that she is a black woman who got convicted of a crime solely because of her color, and he has the right to think that, does not mean he believes cops should die.
I cannot figure out if Bill & other FN hosts try to simplify issues, news, events etc., because they're worried viewers won't understand them if they don't or because it's easier to pass judgement or spin the story when it's simplified. It seems when someone starts bringing in more details (facts) Bill (& others) wave them off as being irrelevant. It's much easier for them to debate an issue when they get to control the premise, scope of the topic & decide what details/facts are relevant.
