As a beginner, I find that Quick Fix kind of help me to prevent the pocketing habit, because unlike stock or kritz, your focus is now to keep everyone healthy and sustain better. Though I can't really rely on it's ubercharge for pushing, it's still really good when I'm the second Medic to keep the other stock Medic alive
As a medic main with over 500 hours on the class, this vid is pretty good for new players. 👍 the only thing i would add would be that overhealing the other medics in your team is REALLY important, a 225 hp medic is way harder to kill than a 150 hp medic i would love to see more people do this, its so underrated also idk if it was miscommunication or if you dont know this, but every medi gun except the vacc builds at the max rate until you overheal a patient above 142.5% hp. so as long as youre the only source of healing and that your patient isnt close to max overheal, you build at the normal rate this also means that the quickfix always builds at the max rate if youre the only medic on the team and that your patient isnt getting healed by the cart or a dispenser
Yes! I wasn't entirely sure of the exact point at which uverchage build rate slows down so I just generalized as "healthy people build slower" and I hope that's still generally useful for newer players
Another tip I've got is that if you die relatively close to your spawn, you should try and fetch your medigun when you respawn, maybe you won't have to rebuild all that uber :)
A valuable tip for all future main doctors, DON'T BE STUCK TO JUST ONE GAME STYLE. I know that there are item options that bypass others such as the crossbow and the ubersaw, but in addition to making you sick of playing with just one style of play, it will make you more predictable for the opposing team. Syringe guns may not be very strong weapons for utility, but they are strong at keeping you alive once you learn how to use them. The crossbow only has a utilitarian function, it makes you more vulnerable to scouts and spies, please don't listen to these people who are slaves to the ''meta'', team fortress is not a competitive game in essence, play to have fun.
"Who authorized this person to have a computer?" 😆 If only an agency existed that would temporarily remove computer operating licenses in the event of large internet/gaming idiot moves and people had to go to remedial class to get it back lol
I just want to say as a Medic main myself that the Quick Fix has no purpose and is essentially throwing a game. Do not use it unless you somehow find this thing more fun and I don't see how anyone could.
As a med main with 5k hours in game, Its actually pretty cool in 6s, especially on badlands for the added mobility. You have to tank damage as well though for it to work, and ubering scouts with it is not great
I love the quick fix!! Yes, in most situations it's inferior to other options, but there are two situations where it shines; games where the enemy team is focusing you HARD and you do not have physical time to build stock uber? Quick fix! Something is better than nothing, and the quick fix is good at keeping many people alive at once. The second scenario is when there are two or three pyros that have made it their mission to airblast spam you every time you pop. The quick fixs uber neuters all knockback effects, making it quite good against unskilled pyro spammers :). Also I like going on rides with demo chargers and rocket jumpers, but yes it is OVERALL weaker outside of those hyper specific scenarios where it shines

uber drains from dropped mediguns really quickly by the time you respawn all the uber will be gone
Here is a good medic tip. If your team doesn’t have a medic. Choosing to play medic will increase your chances of winning by a huge amount

@@Stutteringmania The Kritskrieg is better and the Quick Fix is never ever the answer unless you're in a competitive 6s match where it isn't banned.
It works when I use it 🤷♂️
Bro it’s still a medi gun, it still heals people, it can heal up to 100 health per second, it’s not throwing it’s just not an All rounder like stock
