Man, I am so sorry for the trouble you had with General when you got it. As a kid till now at 42 it is my dream car. I would have been utterly devastated to see what you did when it came back from sand blasting, then the engine going! Wow, talk about heart break. I will say this though, you did a fantastic job with it at the end, he looks awesome! Great video too, and much respect to you for the anger you must have felt and was able to turn it into one hell of a General. I would love 2 c it!
well at least you have a dependable Lee now, absolutely brilliant work, it always does my heart good when I see a shop replace sheetmetal instead of using bondo, which does have its place in a shop, for small dents and imperfections. very good job
Mate... I'm truly speechless... the job you did on that car is... beyond amazing! like my dream is to one day own a General myself... but with everyone jumping them and crashing them my dream was slowly fading, and seeing someone spend so long on that fixing it up shows me there's still hope for me yet, people still care about the good ol days of the Dukes Of Hazzard.. Great Work mate!
After too much movies of wrecking (unrestorable) Chargers by jumping them, this video shows something totally different! That it is possible to give (unrestorable) Chargers a new life! Well done man!! Greetings from The Netherlands.
Lovely Car! Great Job! Had the same Problem with my 57 Chevy! Bought it as a Restored Car but it was a mess! Can you please tell my what a shifter and tranni you got in the General?

Man, has this car come along way sense I known it, the guys that did the body work and other stuff on it is very good and talented people. Talk about a car that made one heck of a turn around.
You should identify the pricks that sold you the car as "restored " . These kind of scammers need to be exposed so others don't have to go through the same shit as you .
Relly nice General Lee sir WOW ... It s a shame to see people do this to someone that pays for a dream car and have it like this . How mutch did you pay before your restoration on that Lee ?
Are you serious? It was "restored" and then you had to RE restore it?! Holy shit... That picture at minute 1:15 is what scares the shit out me, and why I'm hesitant to buy "restored" and "repainted" cars, because of all of that nastiness underneath...
I actually never really "finished" it... Since the video I put a ProCharger on the Hemi.. Didn't like that and now have an 8:71 sticking through the hood...
i read the whole story. Kudos to Chuck and the people that are the real craftsmen. i did bodywork for many years and can appreciate the work the "real " craftsmen put into this car. - never mind your life lesson. You are a better man than I - what goes around, comes around. I would have had my cousins Guido and Rocko pay this guy a visit - but he would be in a body bag. If his "explanation" has any merit , I hope he doesn't pull this again. Once you are sleeping with fish, all over!
I would kill to have a general lee. Only problem is there are not alot of chargers here where I live which sucks. When I was in the states a few years back I saw tons. My buddies and I wanna take a little drive down from Canada and pick on up
man, hope you did not pay alot for that car, looks like a gem from the paint job, goodness it was a nightmare like you said.thats my dream car to my friend.
dude that car is sweet, nice restoration!!! I feel so srry for you because those kind of people are dicks!! You put alot of money in that car and thats what makes it look even better than it did before. Its a nice car GOOD JOB
Kind of looks like you got suckered into buying a lemon that was given a fresh coat of orange paint, and told it was an orange... :-/ Rust sucks. Thank god for electrolysis for small parts, and whizzer wheels and sand blasting for bigger parts. What I want is one of those handheld lasar devices that can burn rust off... $$$$
is this the real general lee if it is msg me and add me and is it the 1 that it was in the movie and dnt lie cuzz that movie was relly good and i like the car too
A shop out of Middleboro Mass.. Two guys, who've been doing this for over 30 years did the paint and body. Tube Chassis Designz in Hanson Mass did all of the metal, chassis and drive train work.

What size rims and tires do you have on that beauty?
@ 4:53 What the hell was that all about?
You should identify the pricks that sold you the car as "restored " . These kind of scammers need to be exposed so others don't have to go through the same shit as you .
Now its properly restored. Well done, good effort. Its not very nice getting ripped off but you've made it better than ever!
Thank you!
@mcw731 Yeah, I do.. But, how do you put a price tag on a dream? It's all worth it, to me.
did you buy on line with out looking at it in person ? paint can hide a lot of rust.
How much did the restoration run ya? I want to do one
She's beautiful, Clark! :)
