Yes go ahead and cosmetically bring the car back to promote your services and build up a strong reputation with the restored car man. Good luck. Can't wait to see when it's finished.
Go for it
Lol, I thought the same thing when I saw the Maxima and the General Lee together. I was like, isn’t it ironic that mplayer aka Mark owns the Hero Maxima, and a screen used General Lee.
Really sad seeing the general treated that way. It needs to be restored to its former glory and let loose to run the streets. Its a muscle car that does not need to be forgotten
The 2005 movie version the interior headliner was black instead of tan, an actual roll cage was used; a three-spoke Grant wood-trimmed steering wheel replaced the standard wheel, an AM/FM stereo radio with CD player was installed in the dashboard; and the interiors were a custom color vinyl fabric made to look like the dye/paint used in the later eras of the TV show.
That's not screen used. They took all the front antennas off so Luke Duke could slide across the fender. He got cut one time very badly from one, so they took them all off
The general Lee is one of my all time favorite muscle cars. Not a 100% sure about this but I think the original was painted in a one stage paint so wouldn't have had a clear coat on it🤔
yeah the TV cars were shot with single stage and did not have clear coat that's a 90's paint job to a T with the clear coat peel and everything and I can bet that is no screen used car because the screen used cars are very collectable and very few are around since most of them were crashed and I will bet it's a replica but everyone that has a general Lee wants to think there car is from the show but really it's not.
@@79tazman what I thought too. A lot of replicas out there and that was my initial thought, so either it's not one of the original or the "touch up" really aged bad..
was thinking the same thing , there was no clear coat on the originals , not to mention that they also didn't have an antenna on the front fender just the one in the back cowl.
@@theo.g.inthecanoe They actually did have the front antenna early on. In the episode Daisys Song when luke slides across the hood he actually snapped it off and cut his arm. The removed them on cars after that
@@79tazman here's the real questoon, that woild verify it. The screen used ones had a second number tag , LEE, space, number, alongside the Chysler VIN tag, pn the dash. As he didn't show the VIN tag, it's still a maybe. On the clear coat, it could still be a show used Lee. The show's vehicle team used single stage, but most shops in the 90s, and even now, use 2 stage, base and clear, including Mr, "as it left the factory " Mark Worman. Many customers upgrade the paint, as it lasts longer, and holds up better, than single atage ever did. Not saying it is, but also not saying it isn't, based on the paint, which seems to be the correct Flame Red GM paint. My thought is take lots of detailed pictures, and contact John Schneider. He and Ben Jones know what to look for. Another option is Travis Bell. Reason I bring us Travis is, he found, AND Identified Lee 1. Even after a repaint, to be used in another episode.
How about doing something really radical and un-converting it from a General Lee to a beautifully restored stock ‘69 Charger? General Lee Chargers are relatively common but a nicely restored Charger is more rare.
That's a replica, Screen General Lee's had single stage paint, Antennas were removed because luke slit his arm open sliding across the hood, Early Lee's had smaller push bars, rear panel was always black, all rebel flags were hand painted, sometimes boarders were medical tape, all reverse lights and side marker lights were removed, and most of all the way to tell is, out 300 or so from the shows, only so many lived, and I'm sure the ones that survived would be in someone's garage
How much does he want for the Generallee? It looks like it needs paint possibly not much else I wanna buy it.. is there anyway to get me in contact with the owner of the Generallee?!
Is that a movie car? I know in the show they did not use 2 stage paint. But they might of for the movie. I am car guy and this drew me to your channel. So heck yes I want to see resore. Might even reach out to john Schneiders channel. He talks a lot about screen acuracy and what they dod season to season. And even the movie cars.
That would be awesome to watch you restore the general Lee!!!
Yes, go for it, it's the General Lee... a once in a lifetime, don't let it pass you by! 🙏
Dude, definitely restore it!!! That is a HUGE piece of American TV history!!!
Dude, it's another marketing opportunity. As long as you both benefit, it seems like a winner.
Yes go ahead and cosmetically bring the car back to promote your services and build up a strong reputation with the restored car man. Good luck. Can't wait to see when it's finished.
Of course you can save it… it looks to be in good restorable condition.
I noticed it’s an early General Lee cause the antennae is still attached. Good find, and yes…the General can definitely use some love
You should definitely go for the general lee. You should go for the sheriff Roscoes car as well if you can?
Awsome find, heck yes get on this car !
Go for it. Restore both cars.

Would love see general lee restored
Yes! Fix the General Lee! I’d love those videos!

You would need deep pockets to restore the GL. But would be cool to see.
yes do general lee stuff
If it has the R/T emblem on the head light door cover? It's usually an R/T.
Hi dom! Wow. I LOVE this GENERAL LEE! PLEASE RESTORE IT! AND MAYBE... ADD IT TO YOUR CAR COLLECTION?!

Yes
Yes you should do the charger.
Restore that beauty
Yes I like to see you restore the General Lee charger RT
Good luck with this one, it amazing car and its one of my favorites 🤞
General Lee be amazing to see get some love
Save it, it's a replica the antenna on the fender is a dead give away. WB removed the antenna on all tue General Lee's for thr hood slides
That's not screen used. They took all the front antennas off so Luke Duke could slide across the fender. He got cut one time very badly from one, so they took them all off
As a diehard TDOH fan, I just don’t see how someone could own a General Lee and treat it like that…
Twitter users.
Dude, why is that even a question 😄 that's awesome content right there 👌
Save that Charger!!
You should do the Dukes Car

Restore the General. As Larry the Cable Guy would say, GIT-R-DONE!! 😊
Restaure la ce serait vraiment nice! C’est triste de la voir laisser la…
Yes that would be great
yes save the general lee
So cool. The general lee is one of my favorites.😍😍
The Roscoe police car, I noticed it had the wrong lightbar on top. What's its condition?
I’d love to see it
Dom that car just screams for it: Please Dom restore me! If anyone can do it, its you! :)
Yes I want to see the generally drive
I have a big tattoo of that car on my arm. Just say yes take the car. Even if it is a replica my Dad had a 69 charger when I was born in 69.
He'll ya fix it up yeeeeeeeeehawwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The legent need total restoration !!!🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷
Variety is the spice of life, soooo yeah, a muscle car revamp would be cool to see.
You need to get that car and drive it a little like it is then redo it my dad and i had a general Lee he built back in 1981
Shoot I taken a picture of that car 4 years ago in front of the store. It went to shit in those years! Mind u it was out at winter time too!

Just needs fully restoration back to its former glory
Totally do it!!
How about doing something really radical and un-converting it from a General Lee to a beautifully restored stock ‘69 Charger? General Lee Chargers are relatively common but a nicely restored Charger is more rare.
👍
Get it!!!
Hey does that guy want to sell it or did he?
As of today, the car is sold
100% do it
That is not a Roscoe P. Coaltrain Sheriff car at 2:54 . That is a Buford T. Justice Sheriff Car from Smokey and The Bandit !
Buford T Justice drove a Pontiac, plus it says Hazzard county at bottom of the door
I doubt it was a movie car. The pushbar is narrow. They used the wide style that was introduced in late 4th season.
Please do it
How much does he want for the Generallee?
It looks like it needs paint possibly not much else I wanna buy it.. is there anyway to get me in contact with the owner of the Generallee?!
You can never go wrong with a rt charger an it it was a real general lee
YEEHAW !!
Ça ferait un bon compagnon pour la Vette hihi
YES, another Dream car, I have a Rotted out 68 that I want to convert to a 69 but it is Rough Rough, that Cosmetic Love would be easy
That would be awesome!!
I’d redo that car. It would be cool. I love old charger content
Omg! Why would you let that happen to a charger of any kind? What I wouldn't give to have that.
Hell yea get it an fix it up
Any charger is worth saving general lee hell yeah as long as the flag stays on the car screw politics
Buy it, restore it, sell it too me. Thanks.
Do it restore restore it
Question, I was wondering, do you film this with a GoPro?
I don’t remember but i think i used a go pro for that video, or maybe my old phone
Nice car!
Question, is he screen-used from the TV show or from the movie??
Yes do it
Je serais intéressé de voir cela!
I am subscribing right now I want to see you restore that car yes please!
😂
RESTORE THAT CAR!
Do they want to sell it
Is that a movie car? I know in the show they did not use 2 stage paint. But they might of for the movie. I am car guy and this drew me to your channel. So heck yes I want to see resore. Might even reach out to john Schneiders channel. He talks a lot about screen acuracy and what they dod season to season. And even the movie cars.
If it’s not a gimmick and it’s a show car then just clean it up and recreate it
If that is a screen used General Lee it still can be saved
