In reference to the rims, the owner asked if I wanted the original rims on it for the video and I said no since I was more comfortable with more grip than less. He did mention that the handling was noticeably different since the body hangs over the wheels moreso with the original rims since they're not as wide. I really liked the style so I didn't think it would matter much being that he had the others on hand but boy was I wrong. I expected some comments about it, sure, but the amount of disrespectful adult babies out there is just astonishing. Be respectful and if you're gonna have the balls to comment something rude, than at least have a General Lee yourself that's picture perfect, because we all know you trolls are driving Kia Rio's. Thank you and good day!
It makes sense to have two sets of wheels and tires, one for show one for go, which is stated in the video. I can understand purists being mad when it comes to General Lee accuracy but when you have a car built and upgraded like it is with the motor, Tremec 5spd and upgraded suspension and any other upgrades that are in place of stock for better handling, it makes sense to have wheels and tires that give better traction, handling, especially in turns and curves. Unless American Racing makes Vector wheels the same size as the wheels on the car that you can also put the same tires on them that are on these wheels in the video so you have the same contact and handling improvement, it only makes sense to employ two sets of wheels and tires. If American Racing doesn't make rim's the size of these rim's so you can't have these tires you could be in danger of giving those more stock style sized wheels and tires more than they can handle. It can be the difference between crashing and not crashing. If I built a General Lee when it comes to performance and functionality improvements I think I would build it a lot like this one. I'd love to have a professionally built 440 with a Tremec 5spd and the Hotchkiss suspension upgrades. They work really well because that car had no body roll going on when he was doing doughnuts with the Trans Am in the parking lot. The great thing for these old Mopars is they keep coming out with better built engines, transmissions, upgraded suspension and braking systems that's light years better than the original technology. If it only improves the car's handling and reliability without sacrificing its classic muscle car personality but if anything improves upon it, then why not take advantage of the improved technology and use what our predecessors who bought these cars originally in the 60's and 70's could only dream about. I think some types of modern tech doesn't work right with these cars character and personality but a lot of it does. I don't like things that change looks like some times people will make radical changes to the dash and interiors that are so alien to the original appearance that it really doesn't look like it belongs there but if you can improve upon things like suspension, handling, braking without changing a cars personality for the worse but make it even better then why not take advantage of the technologies that have been invented? Not that there is anything wrong with a pure stock restoration either but there are some improvements and changes that can be made that simply make for a better performing car without losing anything about the car that makes it cool in the first place. Everyone is free to build one the way they want, I see no point in being hyper critical of someone else's idea on how they wanted to build theirs. If every General Lee or Charger in general was built exactly alike that would mean nobody has any individual thoughts, ideas and imagination. There is so much variety available to building a "correct" General Lee they'll all be different from each other. For example, the style of the graphics on the car mildly changed over the course of the series from what is called "Georgia era" to "Late California era" and a few more in between, that no two General Lee's may be exactly a like. Variety is the spice of life. These builds should be enjoyed and give ideas to people how they may want to build or change theirs. If I went to a car show and there were a hundred Generals lined up together, they'd all have their differences, I'd study and like each one and admire and appreciate the work the owners have put into them. There is no point in bashing someone for how they built their car. Its built the way they like it and that's all that matters.

The sound. If I had to choose one thing that I love most about old muscle cars, the sound would easily be one of the first things to come to mind. The sound alone always draws a smile to my face when I start up my 67 Cougar. No resonators or catalytic converters to muddle the sound, just pipes, headers, and maybe a muffler. You can't get that kind of raw sound anymore.
I completely agree, and the overall mechanical feeling of everything, it's just a great experience. When he first fired it up, I got chills, and that sound doesn't get old. Thanks for watching buddy.

I live in Virginia. The dukes of hazard brought my brother, my dad, and me together. 3 people who having no common interests, and not the greatest relationship. This reminds me of happier times. I will always love the car, the show, all of it. Nothing anyone today says or does will change how I feel about all of it. Whatever they want to say it means, not to me.
Just like The Dukes of the series I'll find myself an old black Dodge Charger RT. I also want to recreate it with the same 440 six pack engine. Soon I'm going to drive it all the way to the DukesFest in Bristol TN and head on over to my cousin's house in Virginia. My cousin and I are huge fans of the show. If he sees me driving it in his backyard he would love it for sure.
To all the 40 yr old's who grew up watching reruns. I gotcha beat.. I'm 50 and was lucky enough to see the very first episodes of both The Dukes of Hazzard and Knight Rider when they first aired on TV. The Dukes was January of 79' if I remember correctly with the slot machine episode, I was 10 yrs old. In the mid 1980's Time Life Video offered a VHS Tape collection for sale of the entire series. Can you imagine all those big cumbersom VHS tapes arriving at your door! Lol.. Yee Ha!.. Knight rider came out in September of 1982, I was 13. I remember for a few weeks briefly in August, 1982 there were commercials on TV, not really commercials but rather previews for the new upcoming Knight Rider show comparing it to the General Lee which was on the opposite TV network. One was NBC and the other was CBS. So, they had the Knight Rider car and the General Lee car both running side by side in the desert and doing jumps together in the same TV commercial (Preview) for Knight Rider. But since The Dukes of Hazzard was on an opposing TV network, they could not show the car with the decals. You only saw a bright orange 69' Dodge Charger with a "00" on the doors instead of a 01 and no flag on top running alongside the KITT car. But, anybody who saw the show knew exactly what car that was!.. The commercial began with the bright orange Charger doing some slides and doughnuts in the desert. Then an English accented announcer stepped into view on the screen.. "From time to time you may have see this car on another network".. he said. Then out of nowhere the KITT Trans Am appeared on screen and jumped over top of the General Lee! Then the announcer said, "But coming soon to this network we have a show that will blow your doors off!".. I don't even think the announcer said the name of the new show.. It was a complete attention grabber. It left the viewer thinking, "Wow! What was that!?" I gotta remember to tune in and check that out...
Best American muscle car ever made. Best looking car in the world. Best car in the world ever bar none. Superb replica job. It’s everyone’s dream. If you own one, get on your knees and thank god every night for blessing your life.
Love it and love the fact that Leslie isn't afraid to drive it. The whole build is fuckin' beautiful. Pretty damn sweet that he let you take it out for a spin too.
My favorite thing is how he beats the hell out of it, makes it a true muscle car. Glad your enjoyed the car and video, and you're right, driving it was a treat!
Thank you! I agree, the car inspired me more than others and the owner was just the coolest guy. I'm going to try to aim for this level of quality moving forward but it's quite time consuming. Glad you enjoyed it!
Even tough I'm a car journalist, every video on this channel taught me something new. Thanks Altek for this incredible video and its amazing art direction from every angle.
Claudio! Thank you so much for checking all my videos out. That's my goal, to pass on knowledge I found interesting about the cars I get my hands on. Once quarantine ends, I should hopefully have some better and more interesting cars to feature.
Very nice. That thing probably does better on road racing than John Schneider’s 511 Hemi General did, which was also setup for road racing. I think it’s pretty cool he has 2 sets of tires and rims. Please the “purists” and please the performance monster that’s inside all of us. Nicely done! One of the more thought out General Lees I’ve ever seen. High performance and nostalgia wrapped up in one package. What more can you ask for? Send me a message if you ever decide to sell. LOL.
Man I just love the General Lee. I love how Matt brought his 79 Bandit Trans Am back with the General. I actually just bought a real deal 1979 Special Edition Bandit Trans Am last month and this brings joy all the way around. Excellent review good buddy!
You're a lucky man to own that car! Matt was totally on board to bring the car out, you don't have to ask him twice to do donuts. His father in the passenger seat was less enthused but still a good sport about it all. I'm happy you liked the video, it means the hard work paid off. Thanks for watching!
Oh hell yeah man both Leslie with his General Lee & Matt with his Trans Am are an absolute riot whenever they get together & just have fun with their classic American muscle car movie & TV show icons. Leslie's General Lee is definitely total badassness I wish that there could be another Dukes Fest event & I'll more than likely have a General Lee myself someday soon in the not too distant future.
I'm telling you, they're some of the coolest car guys you'll ever meet. Hanging with them was a ton of fun. Good luck on getting your own General Lee, you'll feel like a badass 100% of the time you're in it.
Hey Alex, Great video on the Charger... Some cool one liners! "The General! Feels like a house key! Tires are meant for melting!" And there really is a Dukefest! ? Plus let's not forget the Dixie horn! Fun video! John R.
Thanks John!! Oh yeah Dukefest is a thing, not sure if it still goes on but there's some crazy cars that would show up there. Maybe I'll get a tag line eventually but I'm happy some one liners are sticking out. Thanks for watching bud!
There was a Dukefest.Cooter (Ben Jones) and his wife Alma Viator put it on for a while. The '04 and '05 shows were at Bristol Motor Speedway, and they were awesome! They did a stunt show each year, and jumped a General...it was great! The '05 show was especially great, because not only was it a huge "Dukes of Hazzard" show, and all the living stars were there, but they also had a Mopar car show going on,with a swap meet, and the dragstrip was open, too! I had three friends there, all with there own Generals, and two also had cop car replicas, too! I had the privilege of driving one buddy's General around the NASCAR track in that line of Generals you saw in this video. It was epic!!! The '06 and '07 shows were in Nashville, I believe, but I didn't go to them, then John Schneider took it over in '08 and had his show at Atlanta Motor Speedway. That was a great experience, too.Got to drive one guy's cop car in a procession around the track while he was many places ahead in his General.
hey ALTEK I LOVER YOUR 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee. i watched this video of you and your freind driving the Trans Am bandit car AND I LOVED IT BUT I LOVE THE 1969 CHARGER that's my dream car of all time even way before The Dukes Of Hazzard show came out. i was 16 years old in 1979 when the Dukes Of Hazzard came out i i remember seeing 1969 CHARGERS ON the road and i used to say wow i want to buy a charger when i get some money. ang i also said to myself that beast of a car isn't a street legal car it's a racing car. it was first a pace car for indianappolis 500 track but in 1969 they tried selling them for $5,000.00 they sold great and started making them for people to buy them. man i wish i had one and i would make it a General Lee charger with the 01 number on the doors and the Rebel flag on top.well thats a dream for me if i win any lottery i will for sure grt a General Lee.
I don't know why this is the most beautiful car in the entire world since i was 8 years old but , what can i say , i love it !!!! Even though i knew those cars really didn't land intact after that high and long jump , it was sad to see and hear how many were destroyed in order to film my favorite series from my childhood !!!! General Lee FOREVER !!!! Love and respect from Greece !!!!
George You know exactly why its the most beautiful car in the world You just don't know how to say it Its got tail lights that look like two sawed off shotguns facing each other. Theres not another set of taillights like that on any car anywhere. Its got hidden headlights behind a black screen which is sinister looking like its wearing dark sunglasses Scallops in the hood and doors that no other car maker envisioned or utilized A rear window that sits between two towering pillars that looks racy and of course even then in the 1960's the world knew they had a unique winner This car even has a very rich racing history with Nascar. This car has the best looking ass of any car old or modern and its body has the same lines as beautiful woman. This car looks like the automotive equilivant to a sexy dominatrix
This is literally my favorite car ever. I’ve been watching the dukes of Hazzard since I was 4 and I’m 13 I have a ton of signed Merch and met the entire cast at duke fests and it pains me I’ll never have any car like it.
Thanks bud, glad you enjoyed it. It's hard to find low prices examples that even need some work where I am, not sure how tricky that might be where you are. Hope you find one, it's such a great way to get around and look awesome all at once.
I just looked up the Extreme Lee, it's a striking image of this. It was an honor to drive this beast, it really makes you feel so cool. Thanks for watching!
Couldn't argree more, it's not a waste if it makes you smile. Glad you liked the video, hanging with those two is a riot. Leslie is getting another 69 Charger that he wants to black out and make it more of a sleeper, which is hard to do with such a mean looking body style but I'll have a video on that when he gets it going.
Without commenting on what it looks like.. the gear knob is extending the shifter longer and making the overall shift between gears even longer as the selector looks like it already has a long throw. I would shorten the shifter and depending on the design of the selector, if it pivots on simple ball joint or something I would take the piece I cut off of the stick above the ball joint, then cut off below the ball joint and weld the piece into that section increasing the length below the joint and shortening the throw between gears, and making the gears closer together. With such a big car I'd want to feel like the gears were all right there and wouldn't want that much distance and float between them.
I don't know if a follow up video on this car is necessary but it wouldn't be bad idea either. I was wondering if the owner had went to 4 wheel disc brakes, if the rear end was a 8 3/4 or the 9 3/4 Dana 60 or something else. I remember it had 3.91 gears just wondering in what kind of rear axle. Besides who wouldn't want to see more of this car? Thanks for the great video.
Great review Altek....one of my favs. Love the facts on the show too pretty interesting. I was hoping Leslie was gonna let you take it airborne though. Maybe next time...
Love when you chime in on the comments Joey! I like to put facts in that I found fun learning myself, seems to work out well. If he ever decides to jump it and destroy it, you better believe I'll get it on camera. Thanks for watching bro!
Flawless review Alex! Best time I’ve spent watching UA-cam videos are only on this channel! Jesus that was a great video and I loved the editing! Excellent job and wow what a beast. Looks like you had some fun. Glad you made the video and thanks for taking the time. Just sent this out to my buddies so they can enjoy too. Wishing you the best and as always be safe my man. - Steve
Steve! You're the man, thank you always for appreciating the work I put into these. Thanks for sharing it out too. The owner of this also had a hellcat which I'll be reviewing soon as well, now that absolutely terrifies me but my curiosity for it is piquing. I'll stay as safe as I can, you do the same. Be well bud!
I remember as a young boy Hazard first came out episode where every Friday at 8 p.m. I dreamed of one day owning the 69 Dodge Charger when I got married we went to Maine and I noticed an orange charger sitting in a lot in Trenton Maine I was so distracted that I almost ran into the back of a utility truck stopped at a light my wife is not very happy with me but she understands my excitement over that car
I'm telling you, when he opened that garage and I saw the car for the first time, it's larger than life man. Impeccable. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the awesome comment bud.
I had a 70 roadrunner in high school but I sold it like a dumb ass . now I'm working on a 69 roadrunner. I can't wait to get it going .its going to have a procharged 440 and a 727 torque flight automatic with gear vendors overdrive .so it will basically be a 6 speed
Oh that's gonna be a true beauty. If you're near the NY area, we can get it on camera if you'd like. Hindsight is always 20/20 when it comes to those old school cars. Whenever I point out a sweet old ride, my father would never fail to mention how you couldn't give it away back then. At least you got one going now and it sounds like it'll be a stunner
It's in the body shop now.when I start making progress I'll send some pics.im going to try and make a carbon fiber hood going to try to make some type of ground effects...try is the pivotal word here. Have a good day.
That's an awesome review. Well edited and scripted. You definitely deserve more subscribers. I came here for the smart fortwo and just binge watched an hour of your channel. Keep it up! Cheers from Brazil!
You're the man, thanks so much for the subscribe. I'm happy you think I did this car justice, it took me a long time to put together. Happy to give you something to binge watch on your end! Hah!
This is not a car. It’s a way of life. Big American muscle baby! I had a 1971 Buick Riviera custom lowrider. If I ever get some good money this one is on my to get list along with a Pontiac 1968 GTO and a Ford 1970 Gran Torino.
I just want to thank you for being the only one to share your opinion properly. I'm honestly curious, did you notice the part where I mentioned he has the original rims on hand? The drive is noticeably better on the larger rims with the stock look used for car shows and such.
The 69’ charger specifically the general lee is the most beautiful piece of massive American muscle machinery ever designed and it is my dream car if I could have a general lee I would trade everything I own for one beautiful damn car!
@@Altek1 LOL! I actually dig the aftermarket wheels on the car. I have a 68 Charger and run the 15" American Racing Vectors on it for the General Lee vibe. But I get why the owner of this car has 2 sets of wheels. This is a reason I quit going to car shows years ago with my cars because of obnoxious people that attend those events and nit-pick your car while they ride off in some random P.O.S.
4 years later and one person gets me, ha! The general community is what kept me doing this and part of the reason I haven't entertained it more. It's a breath of fresh air to hear from someone that knows I'm a human. Something tells me that even if you hated the rims, you'd be polite about it (which a rare few were). I'm jealous of your 68 though, I've been wanting an old school muscle car and hopefully will have the chance to get one in the next decade.
Bro! That was one of the most awesome videos I've seen in a long time! Thanks so much for taking us all for a ride in that monster!! . . . Also SO great to see a manual transmission in use on that thing. . . I got to drive a 68 Mustang 390 GT Bullitt replica. . . I was walking on air for days after that. I know it must have been the same for you!
In reference to the rims, the owner asked if I wanted the original rims on it for the video and I said no since I was more comfortable with more grip than less. He did mention that the handling was noticeably different since the body hangs over the wheels moreso with the original rims since they're not as wide.

Haha. Kia Rio's! Bitches!
Well said sir ! That car is an icon and should be treated as one altogether with its driver !!!! Wonderful video !!!!

I actually like the wheels he chose
General lee the Dodge Charger will always be my favorite car. Don’t remove the confederate flag.it wouldn’t be the same.
As a black man i agree with you. Keep the flag because the show never promoted racism plus i do love 69 chargers because of this car.
I’m from Indonesia. I’m the only one owns 69 Charger General Lee specs. The Flag and all stickers are just icon, not a representation of a racism.
Well said buddy
Sadly liberals destroy everything they touch...
I like how the flag looks, just not what it stood for, just like the USSR flag.
However, this replica is about immitation and history and not setting a political stance.

The general and the bandit in the same parking lot.....
This guy gets it!
I've seen a video of them racing each other. That is pretty cool.

Cool
oh that rumble in low RPM is like the car says "try me kid, hit the pedal and let me show you what i can do"
Definitely one of the sexiest cars ever
Agreed
@mark rylander It's my dream to daily one of these.
So true
Damn straight
No question
My first car was a 69 charger. Bought it for 700 bucks and spent 2 years building it. It was indeed a ledsled that would pass anything except a gas station.
Bro what did you do with that car?
69' Charger, one day... I damn near cried. So purdy.
Ha, you got good taste bud. Thanks for watching.
@1967 Chevelle LSx I hear ya. One day brother.
The sad part about the show was seeing Daisy"s Mopar going over a cliff.
her yellow road runner
Yeah I love roadrunners but I prefer her 73' Roadrunner she rocked in the first season that was replaced by a 71' in the second season. Then Bo killed the 71' for a Jeep.
then there ass got kicked
I always wanted 1 in the 70's...along with K.I.T.T & Airwolf...im in my late 40"s an it'll still never happen...im stuck with a Tercel

@Billy Hargrove gm vs Mopar, hmmmm
Just get one, never to late 1m 41 just got a k.i.t.t last year and working on a bandit right now
Yes i know the feeling , i just turned 40 myself and still i love them both General Lee and K.I.T.T ! we were privileged to grow up with those two !
Beautiful. I think the rims are ok, specialy since he has the original ones for shows.
this is the car you dont need, but HAVE to own it lol
Man this is one badass 69 General Lee Charger and that 440 Magnum is a monster.
I'm glad you agree! I'm telling you, I've never felt more badass driving until I drove that. So badass.
@@Altek1 Sounds awesome brother.
@@Altek1 How many miles does it give tops?

very nice but the rims need a change
I mention that he has the stock rims on hand, he uses those for grip and handling but I think they look great. Thanks for watching.
Altek oh ok I’m sorry
Rims look great for daily driver replicas!
The rims are fine
Nope it's not the general with out the rally rims. Sorry just is what it is. It's a really nice charger, but those are just all wrong for that paint job. And I don't mean some stock steely Mopar rims. I don't mean those rims are ugly. Just no rally mags no general

Great job on the video. You’re the next guy for top gear
Ha, oh how I wish I had the chance. Your words are much appreciated, thanks for watching.
Fantastic looking replica of the General Lee, great to see the old cars used and abused.
nope yr mom
The General Lee is 1st car I felt for at 8yrs old and ever since I have the love for cars and trucks.
@@Altek1 Definitely! I'll bet it was.
One of your best reviews, yet. Seems like your production quality keeps getting better.
Thank you! I agree, the car inspired me more than others and the owner was just the coolest guy. I'm going to try to aim for this level of quality moving forward but it's quite time consuming. Glad you enjoyed it!
Could you do a video of you driving that in California?
Even tough I'm a car journalist, every video on this channel taught me something new. Thanks Altek for this incredible video and its amazing art direction from every angle.
Claudio! Thank you so much for checking all my videos out. That's my goal, to pass on knowledge I found interesting about the cars I get my hands on. Once quarantine ends, I should hopefully have some better and more interesting cars to feature.
@@Altek1 Keep up the nice and high standards, we love it :) Take care and see ya soon!!
LOL.
Attention means nothing.
Having the strength of that compression.
Priceless
This along with the bandit and KITT are my childhood cars
Man I just love the General Lee. I love how Matt brought his 79 Bandit Trans Am back with the General. I actually just bought a real deal 1979 Special Edition Bandit Trans Am last month and this brings joy all the way around. Excellent review good buddy!
You're a lucky man to own that car! Matt was totally on board to bring the car out, you don't have to ask him twice to do donuts. His father in the passenger seat was less enthused but still a good sport about it all. I'm happy you liked the video, it means the hard work paid off. Thanks for watching!
@@Altek1 Anytime!
Yeah bud, I started up about a year ago, it's been a fun ride so far
Came from Scotty, nice channel Dude!
Thanks bro! And thanks for the sub!
OMG! I love it! I love it! That is a beautiful charger I've wanted one since I was eleven, because of The Dukes....
As Leslie showed here, anything is possible, make it happen! Thanks for watching!
Epic!! Great car, great video and great history lesson!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks Doodles!! Glad you enjoyed the history lesson, it was fun learning about it
Oh hell yeah man both Leslie with his General Lee & Matt with his Trans Am are an absolute riot whenever they get together & just have fun with their classic American muscle car movie & TV show icons.
@@Altek1 I appreciate it man & maybe I'll let you do a video on my General Lee whenever I get one.
Great video! Thank you for capturing the true sound of an American classic!
Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed!
That is one mean General Lee
Tell your friend Leslie he built one badass car ! Mean power and sound. ❤️❤️❤️
An AMAZING CAR! What a beauty. TY ...Newk from Kentucky
Hey again Newk! Glad you enjoyed this one too. I'll try to have more classics in the future, it's all based on what I find.
👍🏻
Orange best color on a charger . period
His attention to detail is outstanding on this beautiful machine 👌
I'm telling you the video does no justice, that baby is clean and a pleasure to see. Thanks for watching bud.
@@dodgeking9194 perhaps it's that, perhaps even more !!!! The sure thing is that Dodge Charger make me feel butterflies in my stomach
@@georgeisaak5321 Yep that's what it is and the 1968-1970 Chargers do that to you
This is literally my favorite car ever. I’ve been watching the dukes of Hazzard since I was 4 and I’m 13 I have a ton of signed Merch and met the entire cast at duke fests and it pains me I’ll never have any car like it.
I was born in 69. Live in Scotland. My one aim for the last 20 yrs is getting a 69 charger. One day I will. Oh I will. Great video.
Thanks bud, glad you enjoyed it. It's hard to find low prices examples that even need some work where I am, not sure how tricky that might be where you are. Hope you find one, it's such a great way to get around and look awesome all at once.
This is my ultimate dream version of the General Lee! With the possible exception of the "Extreme Lee" built 15 or so years ago.
I just looked up the Extreme Lee, it's a striking image of this. It was an honor to drive this beast, it really makes you feel so cool. Thanks for watching!
That was fun! Great build!
Thanks for the video.
And thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it bud!
Livin the dream of millions of people. Enjoy brother!!
It was such a distinct feeling driving that car, really like nothing else. Thanks for watching buddy!
Sounds just like the old general and I love it.
The sound was one of the best parts of the drive. Thanks for watching!
Great duo - the Bandit and the Duke. Admirations to you guys. Can't put price on happiness. Well you can, but it's irrelevant. We only live once.
I would shorten the shifter and depending on the design of the selector, if it pivots on simple ball joint
or something I would take the piece I cut off of the stick above the ball joint, then cut off below the ball joint and weld the piece into that section increasing the length below the joint and shortening the throw between gears, and making the gears closer together.
With such a big car I'd want to feel like the gears were all right there and wouldn't want that much distance and float between them.
Great video man! I have a '70 Charger I'm redoing with a Redeye and Tranzilla, 3.73 Moser Dana 60, and a new tube frame chassis. It'll be fun :)
Great video!
Thanks buddy!
beautiful car looks good with the wheels you got on and love the dash lay out .. great job...
I love this car, ever since i first watched the dukes of hazzard, unfortunately they are quite rare in the uk, absolutely superb 😊
This video put a serious smile on my face!
Happy to hear you liked it, thanks for watching Carlos!
Thanks for watching bro!
absolutely stunning car! love the trans am too!
Awesome General Lee!! My second favorite car. I’m building KITT from Knight Rider
Great vid!
Thanks bud!
What a great story...I am loving that car and that awsome sound...brings me some great memories...thanks for sharing.
I grew up watching the DOH here in Australia. I loved the General Lee then and I love it now. What a great car. Yee haw!!
Grew up here in America watching Mad Max. Loved that 600hp supercharged Holden then and love it now. What a great car! 😂
Great video! 👍 The "General" inspired so many of us to become the gear heads we are today!
Thanks bud! I can see why, I love how it's stamped into history with that show, and what a blast to drive. Thanks for watching!
Awesome 0️⃣1️⃣🏁. Thanks for this video... live on Hazzard County ...it's like a little piece of Heaven on earth.....
Fantastic details... even down to the CB and antenna.
Damn sharp car. Probably the best General Lee tribute I've seen .way cooler than the original
Sounds like you have one hell of a plan. I'd love to see it. Shoot me an email with some photos if you'd like, yt@altekpro.com
Hah!
I love how he referred to the rear end as a suregrip & not a posi. General lee is awesome 🤘🤘🤘
Suregrip sounds way cooler, ha, thanks for watching!
I saw the movie once and now I’m in love with the car
Check out the original show, it's fun and damn impressive what they did to those chargers. Thanks for watching.
these wheels look so great amazing ride
This guy gets it! Thanks for watching.
@@Altek1 you got some pictures of this ride ?
Awesome. I'm jaw dropping speechless.
Awesome dude looks like you are having fun driving the car
He is one lucky man and I'm not jealous at all..........😂
Legend back in the day, Legend for ever
This car is the reason I became a car guy, I just love the body style from 68,69,70
This is not a car. It’s a way of life. Big American muscle baby! I had a 1971 Buick Riviera custom lowrider. If I ever get some good money this one is on my to get list along with a Pontiac 1968 GTO and a Ford 1970 Gran Torino.
Great video! Super jealous of the experience you must have had with this thing.
Beautiful car car the only thing I would change is the wheels they are cool but it needs the general Lee wheels.
I just want to thank you for being the only one to share your opinion properly. I'm honestly curious, did you notice the part where I mentioned he has the original rims on hand? The drive is noticeably better on the larger rims with the stock look used for car shows and such.
Sorry I missed that part I was looking at it from work..lol. That is such a sharp car and the body looks arrow straight.
the best car ever
i need a dixe horn
At least it's one of the closest to the original design of the actual cars used on the TV series. Nice cool ride guys.
The 69’ charger specifically the general lee is the most beautiful piece of massive American muscle machinery ever designed and it is my dream car if I could have a general lee I would trade everything I own for one beautiful damn car!
O man he hit the nail. Some loose neck hit my 71 Cutlass, looking. And u have stomp everything on the highway. Sometimes you just wanna ride!!!
That 71 Cutlass was a sweet ride, hope it didn't get totalled from some moron not paying attention. Thanks for watching!
Wow!! Very awesome Lee!!
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the comment. Even if you didn't like the rims, you didn't mention it and for that, I thank you.
This man is living my dream lol, great car
Glad you enjoyed. Do what he did, make the dream a reality bud!
I was almost thirty years old before I discovered that the general Lee crashed when it landed... Coolest car ever!
Just a good ole boy meaning no harm !!
AWESOME RESTORE !!
The exhaust note is beautiful
Possibly the best car in existence
Who is here from Scotty Kilmer, and who has been binge watching on this channel? Fuck man awesome content!! New sub here
You're the man! Thanks so much for the subscribe and glad I can be considered binge worthy content. You're the man!
Fantastic video I love this car ,it would be amazing if thay made the dukes of hazzard again and use a new charger, and keep the legend alive, 👍🏎
Great video man,

O oh oh hohoho hooo a pistol grip shifter = manual trans…I just went from 6 to midnight!! Good for you my man…that fn thing is awesome🤘🏻🤘🏻
Leslie and Matt are pretty f’n rad 😉😬👍🏻
I’d love love LOVE! to have the the general and the bandit in one garage man talk about euphoria.
I tried to hit the like button twice, it's so cool
