Wow, for expecting another blah video, you did a great job explaining things!! Good on you!!!
Very optimal and clear tutorial. Thanks for making this :)
This was helpful. I've been vlogging daily everyday with my Osmo and I've really enjoyed it. This video provided some helpful insights as well. Frame rate and D-Cine explanations were really helpful. Thanks! :)
Bro I appreciate this video so much for covering these topics so clearly and understanding...And I’ve watched several
Thank you for watching. I tried to make it as informative as possible 😁
I've seen a few videos on helping getting a pro/cinematic feeling. This was one of the best. Thumbs up!
Wow thank you very much. Really appreciate you watching
this applies to more than just the dji osmo pocket. great tips
Yes, the hope was to talk about the larger aspects of what to do with it 😊

Thanks for the tips. Any chance you could tell us how to make these cool zoom/ swosh transitions inbetween shots?

Excelente vídeo, saludos.
thank you!
I like it
do you have a video on how to access some of the osmo pocket settings like changing shutter speed?
Fantastic
nice tips!
thanks for watching eric!
Hi Jason, great, informative video. In your opinion, what is the max usable ISO on the Osmo Pocket? I just got mine, but didn’t do any tests yet...
That is really tough because it depends what you are using it for. All the way up until 3200 iso can be usable but depends on the context. I would say for quality dont go above 800 max. Grain is crazy after that
Good job, next year 500k+ subscribers for sure
haha maybe one day. thank you for watching
Congratulations, a good Tutorial, I would like to know more about important accessories and also about stabilization, does it work well? or there are other cameras in that category that are much better. Thank you
Hi Rodolfo. Thank you for watching. There are not many important accessories to get. it purely depends on what content you are wanting to produce. If you want quite cinematic footage you will need the ND Filters and you may find you possibly need an external audio recorder.
Glad I subscribed to your channel! I know everyone has their preference when it comes to the basics of sound, but would you mind showing how easy it is to sync sound with the Osmo Pocket or a rig to hold the Osmo Pocket with an audio recorder(or mic) attached?
i will add that to my videos to make. Thank you for commenting
Geat advice jason
Thank you very much 😁
This video is very very helpful Jason .. please make a video on how make we use dji osmo pocket 's settings for better video output.😊
Thank you for watching dev. I will definitely put that on the list of videos to make 😀
Great video tutorial with simpel instructions not only for the DJI Osmo Pocket but picture and film making in general - And of course congratulations to you and your beautiful wife with the upcoming baby :-)
thank you my sir. really appreciate the kind words Jakob
Awesome. great video
Thank you very much for watching!!
@Jason Morris looking forward for next videos.
Great video, subbed 👍
Thank you for watching Lee
Thank you
Thank you for watching
Very amazing ☺
Thank you for watching
nice thx for bringing back cenimatic osmo pocekt
one thing i notice that many film makers who just started they kind of refer all work to the filam maker it self , but i saw in many videos special with drone that most of footage is automated like drone plus camera wih crane 2 , so please would you explain this situation and hoc much easy work when its automated and so
God job brother
Thank you my bro 😀
What’s the best frame rate and recording format for TimeLapse and hyperlapse? Also what best foe getting those nice long exposing of moving car with lights on?
I am making videos of these very soon
Nice video. I'm going to buy one. You look like a younger Liam Neeson.
Could you tell me what app is it at 5:22 of the video? You were talking about Aspect ratio. Thanks
Great video keep it up!!!!
The only thing is that track in the background at around 7min has vocals that are competing with your voice. Better to use instrumental music under dialog.
Thank you for noticing!!! I will correct it next video. Appreciate your honest opinion 😀😀
awesome tips sir just making a video on polar pro filter with the osmo pocket .awesome work good sir
thanks for watching ritchie. oh the polar pro filters! love it
I’ll send you a link when my video is up big man ✊🏾✊🏾
Wow
thank you for watching
Complate basic tutorial about cinematic i ever watch it well done bro
thank you for watching
When volgging In 4K on your iPhone XS what setting do you use ?
I also have osmo for best cinematic 24 or 60 fps which one is good
And for vlogging which fps is good plz tell me
It can be good to use either 24 fps or 30 fps with vlogging. 60fps is only good for slow motion
great video...
Thank you for watching. Appreciate it
Have you used the osmo in a action sequence? I want to use it as a substitute for my GoPro on some of my snowboard outings. How does it handle in situations like that?
I personally wouldnt use it for action like that. Gopro is much more of an action camera and much more durable. The dji osmo pocket is more of a mini gimbal
I’m thinking of getting the DJI Osmo Pocket for my vlogging.🤔
The Osmo Pocket is great for vlogging. You will just need the audio adapter, a decent cage and small microphone. Otherwise the Osmo Pocket by itself with no attachments will still work fine
Jason Morris yeah, I’ve been researching and adding the necessary attachments to my wish list. I usually spend a week or two researching before investing. I currently use my iPhone X with a Zhiyun gimbal. It works great but I’m looking to lighten the load. I would definitely carry the Osmo Pocket more often.
Great video. Where was the sunflower scene filmed in winter?
This is in Australia, which is currently summer 😊
Any suggest on video production app?
👌💪💪
Very good content all over your UA-cam page.
After you use 60 fps, how do you slow it down ? And by how many % 40 ?
It depends, but most of the time just go with 50%
It all depends what time line you put the shots in. If you're using 30fps timeline then 50% but if its 24 or 25 then it would be 60
Do you have a Tectorial how to set up your DJi osmo posket ?
I do not have a tutorial on set up, no. I might have to get one done
Hi thanks for explaining just can you tell me or write me here for a normal cinematic setting for osmo pocket! Thank you
ISO 100, frame rate 24, shutter speed 1/50. Nd filters to keep shutter speed down. D-cinelike profile.
Great video, man. However, no need for the black bars. UA-cam supports various aspect ratios now. Also, you can switch between Single and Continuous Autofocus in the Osmo Pocket.
Yes, that is correct. Black bars is just for people who want to add cinematic sequences within their videos
Just purchased the Osmo Pocket..... am going parasailing in Hawaii in November... i already have and olympus TG-6 which i am familiar with... but i would like to use the osmo to attach to a selphie stick to film my wife and i up in the air, but i am not sure what settings to use on it, and now you suggest a better video by using filters which i have bought a whole set.... can you perhaps give me a short cut and tell me what settings to use on the DJI osmo Pocket, and what filter, i have 6 skytreat filters... to get that perfect video parasailing? we are going in the morning in November, thanks, i would appreciate any answer, Mike
thank you for watching. The settings depends on lighting during the day. The easiest is to have maybe an ND4 or ND8 and having it in auto ISO and lock the shutter to twice the frame rate. Tough without knowing the situation
I'm curious if osmo pocket can be created for beautiful and cinematic IG stories. Can you make a video about this pls. 🙏
i will be creating a video like that
If you can shoot and edit, then yes why not
How Many Mbps do u export ur 4k pocket footage in?
Thx for a cool Channel bro
Haha that vest mate!!! Did you steal it off a small woman!
Continuity is key.
Thank you very much but 1 thing more why is that little skip frame or lagy ones you transfer the videos to watch!
The bloke has gainz
How's the depth of field with the osmo tho?
Depth of field is not good with the osmo pocket as it is a wide lens with oly an f2 aperture on a small sensor
dam I should of done that with my wife when she was pregnant, but i wasnt into video stuff back then lol
Yo...How much ya Bench?
Is it still worth buying in december 2019?
100% Although Osmo Pocket in 2020.. Could be an Osmo Pocket 2 by then hehe
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema exactly what i'm concerned about. I think i'll suck it up a little longer for pocket 2. Eventhough rumors of it are scarce lol
Это ты Osmo так начался?
This is a great photography introduction but I still don’t get what’s osmo pocket related.
thanks for watching Joey. I just wanted to explain shooting in manual to all my new DJI Osmo Pocket viewers
Thanks, nice job. Did she have the baby yet ?
yes. we have a beautiful little girl who is now almost 12 months old :)
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Wonderfull !!!! ...Thank you for all the great info ! Keep it up & I will share what I can with you ! Cheers !
Does that hot woman have her own channel?
you should have 280k subscribers not 2.8k
thank you! Hopefully one day! haha
這胸肌很有競爭力!
I liked the woman in the video. she is hot.
Why despite of these kinds of tips the "cinematic" shots are always sweeping slo-mo panos paired with some royaly free tropical chill soundtrack? How's that even cinematic? I mean, can anyone name even 2 movies, that they've seen in cinemas, that were filmed like this?
Stylistic montages is their real classification and they're used a lot in films. Don't know if you've seen Rocky? Extremely popular montage. Yes, they use different music but music sets the tone of the scene. Have you seen Disney's film Up? That has a very powerful montage. A film with Blake Lively The Shallows has a montage with surfing that includes speed ramping, slow motion etc.
I seriously can’t imagine using this camera for anything cinematic. It only looks good in timelapse/hyperlapse mode. Every “cinematic” video I’ve seen from it has terrible warping in gimbal shots and the image looks like it was recorded with a phone. No thanks
