Terrific video. I've done the Atlanta Transition but honestly didn't know that's what it's called! Another great transition, an oldie but goodie, is what I call the "in-camera wipe." Let's say you move toward a man (from behind him) with a dark cost on. You go all the way into the back of his coat. Then in your next shot, you start super tight on a dark object, let's say a column and you move out from it to reveal a whole room full of people. In editing, it's simply a cut but it looks great as you change dramatically to a whole new scene, with the dark element being the "wipe."
I LOVE this camera. It is small, gets the job done and captures good footage. I bought it upon it's release and have been using it since November 2020.

As long as pinnacle reads .cube files, which all other NLE’s do, they will work. But you have to check before hand the compatibility with the .cube file.
@@SamuelSotiega Hi Samuel, following your video I bought an insta 360 stick of 1.2m and a small rig for the phone. I can mount the smallrig on the extendable stick with the Pocket2 in the top. I am now using pinnacle 23 and there are also a number of luts on it. I can use this to adjust the color. Thanks for your video, that's how I get a few steps further myself. Greetings from The Netherlands. 🖐🖐🖐🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱
Most of the jib shots you use tilt-lock so you keep the horizon levelled. If you use follow mode the camera will tilt down as you are at the lowest and that might be a look you don’t want. But like everything, trial and error, and then you’ll get it right…
I might do a video about time-lapse and hyper lapse soon. Hyper lapses are timelapses but for movement. Imagine walking from point A to point B and record a frame every second. You can set the exposure long if you have a high ND filter and when you play back, people and cars look blurred, whereas the buildings around you are in focus. Well, that’s the idea. I might do a video about it. You could also shoot normal and then speed it up to say 1000% and get a hyper lapse effect too.
It depends on the shot. For those shots where you “track” or move behind something to reveal a scene or view, you better set single focus and set/lock the focus to the end position because the autofocus can be a bit too aggressive. I hope I am explaining myself clear enough. For any shots where there isn’t anything crossing the frame close to the pocket 2 that will force the autofocus to “hunt”, I use continuous…
I bought the creator combo and the dji osmo extention rod and a full compliment of accessories. Literally the most versatile rig I have. Even with a go pro I would have to spend 3 times as much as i did to replicate what I jave and it still wouldn't be as compact. The osmo pocket 2 is awesome!
Man. The more I see you using this P2 the more I think I’m going to get it. I want to use it for horizontal walking videos but also some vertical vlogging and it seems like this will do it all.
1st time I watched your video and without hesitate make it thumbs up .. I want to more advise for pocket 2 and drone shots and control.. please advise me. Stay blessed love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
I use a dslr tripod that doubles up as monopod. That way you can have 2-in-1. A monopod on its own would always be sturdier and recommended. I left some links in the video description if interested… glad you found the video helpful.
Thanks! I am glad that you got the message. You don't need mega-expensive kit to create amazing-looking footage. It is nice to have the expensive kit, but if you don't have it, just don't worry too much. Sometimes the bigger and more expensive the kit is, the more complex everything is.
Check the link in the video description “super clamp with ball mount”. I’d give it to you in this reply but the app doesn’t allow me to copy from the video description…
I am sure you’ll get a lot of fun and film pretty good stuff with the pocket 2. Congratulations on your purchase, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for the comment! The important thing with the set up is that it is so small that you won’t be asked to stop filming even in places where filming might not be allowed. Security will think you are a tourist with a selfie stick (or a fishing rod 🙂) and you can shoot or film in locations and venues that most people can’t and get some pretty cool footage.

Great content - you just got another subscriber
Amazing! Thanks for the support! More cool content coming soon.
Keep up the good work
Thanks! I certainly will!
You should mention which mode are you using on each tricks!
Are all the shoots using FPV move? or Tilt locked? or Follow mode?
Thanks!
Most of the jib shots you use tilt-lock so you keep the horizon levelled. If you use follow mode the camera will tilt down as you are at the lowest and that might be a look you don’t want. But like everything, trial and error, and then you’ll get it right…
@@SamuelSotiega Thanks for the reply!
Is there a clamp that makes it easy to mount a PowerBank to the near end of a monopod?
Something like this? amzn.to/45DFvil
GREAT video. I just purchased a Pocket 2, and can't wait to try some of these type shots. Thanks for the cool ideas!!!
You’re welcome! Glad you found it helpful.
Could you explain how to use hyper lapse more at length. I don’t understand very well. Thanks
Brilliant , thanks some great new tricks 👍
You’re welcome! I am glad you found the video helpful.
Nice vid. Which Autofocus Mode did you use? Continuous autofocus or single autofocus?
It depends on the shot. For those shots where you “track” or move behind something to reveal a scene or view, you better set single focus and set/lock the focus to the end position because the autofocus can be a bit too aggressive. I hope I am explaining myself clear enough. For any shots where there isn’t anything crossing the frame close to the pocket 2 that will force the autofocus to “hunt”, I use continuous…
@@SamuelSotiega Your explanation is perfect. That's exactly I wanted to know. Thanks!
Cool ideas!
They are easy to do as well, which is the best. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I couldn't agree more with you!!!!
thanks for the info
Glad you enjoyed it!!!
Thank you..good info..
glad you enjoyed it!
Great video!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video just bought this camera for my hitch-hiking trips and will be using your shots for sure. Muchas gracias y un saludo!
Amazing! I am so glad that you found it useful! Arriba Hermano!!
He gives me Sasha barren cohen from borat vibes lol love it
Glad you liked the video!
great tips
Glad you think so!
Man. The more I see you using this P2 the more I think I’m going to get it.
I want to use it for horizontal walking videos but also some vertical vlogging and it seems like this will do it all.
It is a good little camera gimbal combo for sure!! And I did quite a few videos for it too…
1st time I watched your video and without hesitate make it thumbs up .. I want to more advise for pocket 2 and drone shots and control.. please advise me.
Stay blessed love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Happy to be of help. Ask any question that you might have and I will do my best to give you an unbiased and honest answer.
What kind of stick, do you use?
I use a dslr tripod that doubles up as monopod. That way you can have 2-in-1. A monopod on its own would always be sturdier and recommended. I left some links in the video description if interested… glad you found the video helpful.
Amazing shots and so effective for what is required, without breaking the bank👏
Thanks! I am glad that you got the message. You don't need mega-expensive kit to create amazing-looking footage. It is nice to have the expensive kit, but if you don't have it, just don't worry too much. Sometimes the bigger and more expensive the kit is, the more complex everything is.
What do you to attach the phone to the monopod?
Check the link in the video description “super clamp with ball mount”. I’d give it to you in this reply but the app doesn’t allow me to copy from the video description…
Great tips - one of the few videos that I've watched to the end!
Thanks! Glad that you enjoyed it!
Got my pocket 2 and I kept watching this on repeat, your jib setup looks like a fishing rod😂🎣
@@SamuelSotiega yeah and as a street photographer Videographer being discreet is a major plus point
@@Youtiao87 I totally agree!!!! You should watch my video “10 cool things the pocket 2 does that no other camera can” I think you’ll enjoy that one too.
