Coming from a Phillies fan I agree with the Rojas take. People understandably overhyped his defense so much, which is good don’t get me wrong but he barely held an OPS over .600 in a full season played. I have no animosity against him but I don’t want him back in Philly next year.
As a Marlins fan, I've got Dane Myers as the starting CF. He has not had a ton of big league experience, but he was decent at the plate and in the field and while I would prefer him in a corner spot, he is the best option at CF for the Marlins now. I like Derek Hill as a platoon bat and pinch runner. He has a .846 OPS vs LHP in his career (albeit like Dane limited sample) vs a .509 vs RHP. He can take turns giving a day off to Conine or Jesus Sanchez.
Ther is no way you put TJ Friedl in bench. Bro was on the injured list 3 different times cuz he kept on getting hit with pitches. If he would’ve played a full season he would’ve been on pace for close to 30 homers
keyword pace just because someone is "on pace" to do something doesn't mean they will. players will have a hot streak and wow they'll be on pace for 154 homers and 364 rbis and it's happened where they are on pace for that but using predictive stats rather then a more useful stat like BaBip using predictive stats is never useful unless it's a pitcher in where it's a little bit more useful but never reliable

Isbel is a Gold Glove caliber CF. He's slightly better than "no bat", but he should be in that tier. His defense and baserunning are more than enough to justify starting him as your 8 or 9 hitter. If I had to keep one Royals outfielder for next year, I think it would be him (unless Blanco can use that yellow crayon bat all the time lol)
He was also the only bat that bothered to show up for the Wild Card. I think he’s putting things together and next year will be really special so long as he stays healthy
Varsho should be higher. I know there's that addition of the "Glove First, No Bat" but you're telling me a guy with 5.1 WAR isn't at least Good?! There's an argument he's a fringe all star CF. His bat isn't incredible, but a OPS+ of 98 is just about average, not full on below average. He's not a great on base machine, but the slugging and pop more than makes up for it.
heliot ramos definitely isn't the giants' center fielder going forward, he kinda got thrown over there along with a bunch of other young guys because jung-hoo lee got injured a month into the season 🙃looking forward to seeing JHL on this list next year (and hopefully in all-star to elite territory!)

I know WAR isn’t the end all be all stat but when you look and see the rest of the guys in that tier have anywhere from a 0.5-2.0 WAR at best, it’s kinda crazy that Varsho isn’t in Good Tier. Felt like every week he was making some HR robbery/diving insane catch out there that I was constantly seeing.

He got sent down, made the adjustments, and came back to the majors strong. I wouldn't put him in bench, but he isn't in the good tier. He's somewhere between good and all glove

Yeah Ramos in CF wasn't great, but they didn't have much of a choice with Jung Hoo Lee lost for the season. With Conforto likely gone in free agency, Ramos should play better in LF & RF with Jung Hoo Lee returning to CF.

I don't know why people don't think Judge plays great in the field. He doesn't have the range of many other center fielders, but he makes every play he can get to, is the best in the game at robbing homers and has an insanely accurate cannon for an arm. Defensive metrics and dWAR are about as worthless as stats get. Remember how they said IKF was the best shortstop in baseball? They also say Don Mattingly was a bad defensive first baseman. I will trust my eye that shows him as deceptively fast, making every play, stealing runs from the opponents and keeping guys glued to bases due to his well earned rep with the arm.

Actually better than I thought. .322 and .910 ops in August. .273 and .779 ops in September. And was good in the playoffs.

Mattingly had 9 gold gloves. Nobody with half a brain ever said he was bad defensively.
