- Peace! Welcome back to the channel. Many of you have been asking for a breakdown of how I maintain my locs and what I do for hair growth. I've been on the journey for 4 years now. I wanted to utilize the opportunity to fulfill the request and share insight for loc maintenance, from an internal and external perspective. I hope you find this helpful.
*Forgot to mention I re-twist every 2-3 months

I never call men “beautiful” but you areee 🥴😍
Thank you
I’m obsessed with looking at loc videos lol
From the inside.. I always tell people that it's starts from the inside for hair and skin.
That's a fact.
This is very informative and different, I enjoyed it. You should do more 👑
Thank you 🙏🏽
@@BrandonAhmaud so happy for this I keep castor oil on my hair all the time now
@@BrandonAhmaud when you say african black soap that's a bath soap right sorry family I got african black soap but never used for hair
@@mindbodyandsoul5378 yes. The African black soap is usually an all in one (body wash and shampoo)
The greatest advice he gave was that if you keep your body clean on the inside it will show on the outside Jah bless my brother for the knowledge
I was one of the people who requested a hair care video and I want to say thanks for making it. It was informative and gave different information than what I have seen on other videos. I had no idea soursop leaves were good for hair. I have the same brand you have and have just made tea out of it but it's good to know it has other benefits than what I was drinking it for.
Thanks again, man! Looking forward to your next vid!
Peace.
That's great to hear! 🙏🏽
Thank you, the moss and herb tips are elite
Real work Real energy my brother. big up yourself
I give thanks!
Thanks for directing me here. Glad to see people in our community dropping such great info. Different from normal videos but great content
Thanks!
This was a quality video! You picked up on everything other maintenance videos are missing. Natural is best, thank you!!!!!
Glad to hear! 🙏🏽
Just started my free form dreads(two strand twist method) about two months ago...this was very helpful\informative.
Good looks!
No problem!
Gorgeous and loved your photos, you have a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing
oh yeah I am DEFINITELY getting that satin loc cap, because the ones I get start slipping off my head after awhile. And the shower cap, jeez, i'm over here using groceries bags haha. great keys my brother!
You won't be let down sis! The grocery bag is the black struggle 😂 Legendary. The go to for days when I couldn't find my shower cap. Thanks as always for tuning in!
@@BrandonAhmaud Of course! and With the water mix, do you refrigerate it when not in use or keep it out? When I made aloe vera water mix, I had to keep it in the fridge or it would go bad after a few days if left out.
@@crystalanokam I have had no issues keeping it out.
@@BrandonAhmaud gotcha
Thanks you I started locking up in November 2021 now it’s 2023 my locks are near enough to shoulder length the tips was bang on
Inside out, gotcha. I just got my two strand twist starter locs put in about a week ago. This will be very useful for the future, I'm definitely saving this video. Thanks for sharing brother!👏🏾
Omg the guava leaf spray!!! I never thought of that! I always make tincture and oils but i love that idea! Thank you! Be blessed king! ✨
Thank you! You too!
I Love everything about this video.....please keep them coming.
I loved the video man. Super inspirational! I just started my journey and posted on my channel. You've inspired me to make sure I dont quit
You got this!
Very informative video, sir! Great video.
Thank you family
Thank you, great info.
Thanks
Thank you for this video. Two takeaways:
1. I need to leave my hair the heck alone. After moisturizing, I am tempted to style it. And most times it’s in a tight style. This is my only set of Locs (four years) and I really need to start babying them more now than I had when I started. Two: I don’t drink nearly as much water as I should. And I don’t eat right. I’m not sure how to live without meat because of my environment and upbringing. But…I could do more to help the rest of my diet.
I'm one year in and I feel the exact same way about my locs
I loved everything about the vid ...you thought us what we normally don't get from other videos...thank you for that and good bless you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for this video, my Brother! I'll have to try out that mist from the guava leaf tea & cucumber compost tea. Sounds very healthy and with zero build-up.
Much Respect! ✊
I just found your channel yesterday and I’ve now subscribed, I’m learning a lot and really enjoying your channel. Great video 👍🏾✌🏾
Happy to hear!
Love the vid. Alot of information I wasn't awear of.

Dang we started our loCcs the same year 4 years strong 💪🏿 💯
Amazing video , great points ! Definitely like the focus on prioritizing the inside . You're 100% right ! We definitely need to be talking about this more in our community ! Thank you for sharing 🌱
Exactly! Thanks for watching!
I know this video is about locs but I came across some information that you might be interested in. Improves Vision: Bilberries are remarkable for their ability to improve the health and function of the eyes. It can help treat night blindness, cataracts, mac- ular degeneration, poor vision, and chronic eye strain.
Bilberry protects the cells of the eye, reduces inflam- mation, and helps prevent damage to the ocular nerves in diabetics. Use it internally; it is not used topically in the eyes.
Yes, I actually did a video on it. Thanks

Thanks King. I appreciate it
Video was great
Thanks!
Scratch that just so the description lol. Keep up the great work brother I support you 100% very knowledgeable.
I appreciate that
I’ve been taking Seamoss for about 2 yrs but for a total different reason, so that was cool
Great video. I just started my locs. Comb coils because my hair is about 3 inches. So mines is little macaroni 😂. Mine seems to be locking to the root so I will lift them up daily. Not sure if I should be doing that. Some of them are already bud and tight together and tomorrow will be one week. A friend of mine who have had locs a very long time told me lemon juice would loc them quick. But I found online that the lemon juice will also shrink them because of how much it draw the hair together. Anyone else ever used lemon juice?
Great content👍🏾
Love the guava cucumber mist ima try ❤️
Great! Let me know your thoughts on it.
Nice video and tips!
Glad you found them helpful!
I’m glad I found your channel💯. Can you do a video on taking care your skin but internally first. I have bad acne and I’m doing my best to fight it. I just don’t know what to eat or put in my body.
Fasting has def helped my skin turn out for the better
Very through very honest very detailed
Great looking locs
Thank you!
Bro very informative 💯
Glad you think so!
Great, healthy tips! Your locs are beautiful!❤️❤️❤️
how tf is nobody talking about how fucking long his loss got in 4 years
Had my dreads for 4 years and it hasn’t even reached my chin yet my hair grows very slowly
Change diet
@@michaelsliders3421 to what exactly?
@@user-es2gd2rl7z 😂what do you eat? This man is a vegan
It depends. If you pull it, is it long? It may be shrunken esp if you don’t retwist like he clearly does. Otherwise, you may want to wash your hair often, may be your scalp is clogged. I have washed my hair 5 to 7 days for the past 10 years and that’s what works for me. Then you may want to check your vitamin levels or get biotin , selenium: Otherwise, vegan or not; everyone’s hair grows.
Bless king
Beautiful
Grand rising brother, just wanted to see if it was possible to list the foods that contribute to healthy hair? Also if you can tell me where you purchased your loc cap and shower cap its much appreciated.
Peace, I listed where you can buy the loc caps in the description.
Fasting, eating greens such as cucumbers, dandelion, fennel, mustard greens has helped. But avoiding toxic foods such as meat, dairy, soy has helped tremendously too.
Enjoyed
How do you off should someone re-twist or is that based on hair growth? Maybe something to add....
Does twisting often cause thinning at the root?
Great video, Thank you!
*How often should... Edited
Excellent questions. I do believe twisting too often causes stress and thinning on the roots. I re-twist every 2 months..sometimes even longer.
@@BrandonAhmaud Thank you!
I have a question on beard growth. I have my Loc’s. But after fours years wow that’s nice. I watch the video. What can I buy for my beard. I am fighting on trying to grow it I just have that one spot that’s not growing. Issue with it moving slow meaning some spots aren’t filling in. Need help on better beard growth
My brother do you have any links for the sleep cap I’m trying to get a good one I’m located in Australia thank you for all your amazing content.
Blessings Fam

Great video bro how often do you retwist your loc’s
Thanks. I'd say I retwist every 2 months
I use satin pillowcases but no nightcap. Should I still cover my locs? 3 year locs
Yes, I would recommend covering them while sleeping
🙏🏾🙏🏾
🙏🏽
Nice video what black soap do u use?
Thanks! I use Dr Woods Black African Soap

How do you store the guava leaf spray ?
Did you just say ‘tuonane baadaye’ at the end? 👁👁
Yes 😁 I try to find clever ways to use Swahili to help make it stick
No offence to people who diet for hair growth, I’ve people who live rockstars, dye their hair and shii but still long and healthy locs.
My hair ain’t that long but I when I eat a lot of protein it grows faster 🤷♂️
Can I eat chicken?
That's for you to decide
May I ask, why spring water?
Hi, because it has the minerals good for our body.
Damn ur a very Handsome Man 👀👀👀👀👀😳
Thank you!
@@BrandonAhmaud Of course your welcome....
