I literally just started my loc journey last week and I can’t wait to see where my locs is gonna be from a year from now
My man. Keep it going 🔒
Facts I started mine 2 days ago
I just finished my year anniversary
Take lots of pictures. Cuz just looking at yourself it's kind of hard to notice how far you've came.
my hair is mad long bro and i just started mines yesterday
Been in the dread game for 2-3 years AINT never do this but now ima start doing it every morning or every afternoon
Did this made a change on your locs After like a month?
@@SoldiFacili212 yh but the dreads long gone now i cut em around sep 2023
@@TjspurposeYesterday i interlocked my dreads, they Say that its preferable waiting like 2 weeks before you wash your dreads at First, but can i still keep my dreads moisturize meanwhile?( My english Is bad ik xd)
@@SoldiFacili212 you could but itll bud faster and might look weird BUT its also okay if you dont until your next retwist because unless your hair someone just stinks horribly u can wait it out.
@@Tjspurposedidnt trust the process🫤
I started my loc journey 3 weeks ago. I really appreciate your content bro! Your channel has answered all of my questions so far! Respect ✊🏿🙏🏿
Man I've been trying to figure this out moisturizing biz for a while. Been on my loc journey for 11 mons!! I was using the L.O.C. method which is a lot to keep up with. I thought water would do my locs harm and make them dry out!! Your method is much simpler. I'm going to start this today! Thanks bruh!
Did it work?
The “massage “ tip is the best tip ever man , so underrated my scalp never feels stiff and sore. earned a SUB $$$$

Started mine 2 days ago!! Mine are getting dry and I feel like only oil isn’t doing much so I’m here to learn about spraying and moisturizing!!
This is my lock care set too! I'm a woman. Rocking the castor and water - maybe a bit of rosemary and rosewater mixed with my water and caster oil in a spray bottle - but overall I keep it simple. Water is the main ingredient. Thank you for your videos!
No problem 🔒
Yep, water should be the main ingredient…
Nothing hydrates like water!!!
@VinnyMatthews what is good for moisturizing your dreads I already have rose water anything else you recommend?
What is the best rosewater to get
@@julitaminor1102 I like the Heritage Store Rosewater brand. Prices vary and sometimes I've found it at discounters like Marshalls.
This is my same regiment. After I moisturize my locks, I use lemon grass and Moroccan oil. Love this video brother because many people don’t understand that the hair respects you when you hydrate.
Been 🔒 for about 2 and a half years been using this method for a whole year and my hair looks good
🔒 for 9 months! It’s going amazing so far and I just ran out of hair moisturizing spray so thanks for this!
No problem 🔒
I've been spraying water on my locs for about a couple of months now. It's much better than using oils. Thanks for the tip
No problem
But won't it stink?
@@NoTalker_no wtf😭 if that happens ya hair dirty or sum
@@vex5u I always hear never wet your hair or maybe that's if u go in a pool or something idk
@@NoTalker_ nah water is key
I personally would recommend using distilled water with rose water mixed with a carrier oil like jojoba oil, and essential oils like tea tree oil, peppermint in a spray bottle. This will prevent fungi/mold growth and save you a massive headache down the road.
Started my dread journey again about a month ago it's been 10 years since I cut them off can't wait for the growth
Keep it goin 🔒
Nice and simple. That's one thing I have to remember to do is moisturize my locs daily
Facts 🔒
Started my loc journey 17 days ago I’m so happy and love your locs 🙌🏾♥️🔒💪🏾🎯
Keep it going. Thank you 🔒
🔒 1yr 3months. You give great detailed info, moisturizing my locs like this from now on. 💯
Glad I found this. I’ve been 🔒 for almost 1yr & 7 months, and have issues with knowing what to moisturize my Locs with. Appreciate the great content. 🙏🏾💪🏾
Of course man 🔒
🔒Up, my boi thanks fo de tip. I’ve got my locs for about a month now and your vids are very helpful to maintain my investment🤙🏽 I got a bonnet and my wife started laughing wen she saw me but she loves the journey. But fr tho keep these vids coming, Very helpful 🔒💯
To have a women who understands 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 you winning my G 🔒
Im on my new loc journey myself and always suffered on this one part, which is moisturizing my locs. I was told that i only had to use oils and thats it. I was told that water would mess up my locs, but obviously i was miss informed. Thanks for this video!!!
You got this!
Bro I literally had the same issue. I even had some hair fall out due to me only using oils n not moisturizing them.
@@ic3mk479 me too. I'm thinking about getting a bald head and starting over.
🔒🔒🔒 just started today! Got the baby starter locs in! Can’t wait to see how much they grow & how fast. I been maintaining my hair so good before I locd up. I do have thinning on the top of my crown but I’ve filled it in over time last year. Managed to get 4 baby locs on top 😂 I can’t lie I’m excited just to have my thin spot actually locd. Now I just wait & keep my routine. I appreciate videos like this for sure! Def let me know I’ve been doing right & put me on game to other things I can use! Thank you bro 💯
How they coming along bro bro
He's exactly right. I do the same technique except with olive oil.
Word my roots on the back of my head locked together in a section because I wasn't using castor oil. Castor oil is the master key for separation.
🔒🔒🔒
2:19 why you calling your shawty “sir”😂
No lie the set of locs you have a pretty nice bruh can tell your scalp is healthy thanks for the water tip i definitely learned something 💯
I’m 10 years Loc’d.
I take very good care of my hair, keeping it clean, drinking water and slowing down on juice/soda.
I had them done last week on Thursday in two strand twists, but a day or two after getting them done, I wore a satin bonnet to protect my style and from lint etc, but it makes my head itch for some weird reason, even though my scalp was already oiled when I got my hair done, so I recently oiled my hair and scalp…it toned down a little tbh but it was redness in some areas.
Sounds like whatever oil you’re using, your scalp doesn’t agree. I had the same problem. The redness is from your scratching and the itchiness is from the oil irritating your scalp.
@@NiqGodessEnergy I may have to use a different oil that doesn't irritate my scalp, basically trial and error to see what works and what doesn't, thank you ma'm I appreciate your reply.
great video homie been growing mine since the barbershops closed down when Covid hit and was to lazy to find a new barber and decided to just grow my hair i saw my aunts locs and wanted to start locking mine i never knew i was supposed water my hair everyday like that but thanks for the video you just helped me a lot
Appreciate you mane I needed something quick I can do daily
Locs for two and a half years!! Yours look great!! I keep my routine super simple too 😊
This is the most light skinned video I’ve every watched but thanks for the info I just started mine
Glad it was helpful! 🔒
You crack me up 😂. Keeping it gangsta with your bonnet and the penguins made me subscribe

I’m two months loc’d, thanks for this routine. Your look is exactly what I’m going for✊🏾. Are you doing this in the mornings and at night? Or only once a day?
Thank you for this information! You make it make sense...💯 oh yeah just got 🔒 yesterday!
I've been loc for 3 weeks. Super happy I finally started. Love the video. 🔒

🔒 up for 1 month now today! New subscriber to your channel and I was about to go buy all these new spray items for my loc’s an stuff. Yea this vid definitely helped. Thanks

Super informative and entertaining video. I love how you act out everything that you said lol
🔒
Does putting on the stocking cap while the locs are wet make it nasty? I’ve had locs for years and they are long as hell! But they dry easily and I’ve still never found a great routine to moisturizer em yet….🤦🏿♂️
Thank you so much for this info. This is so simple & helpful. 💪🏽
Can you do a video daily moisture/ shampoo your dreads without leaving no dandruff and itchy scalp
For sure 🔒
Your mic is phenomenal! I could hear every breath.

@@VinnyMatthews you are welcome! If I may tell the people......I do Tarot Readings....Tanqurei on all platforms. 💫🌟😹
‘Men’ locs are insane☠️its just hair thanks for the tips ima female and im bout to use them
So what about mold for the heat from scalp and water in the hair doesn't that make mold ?
I'm 2 years in and i am starting to get build up quite a bit. Thinking its time to start ACV rinsing 2 to 3x a year.
New follower! Just started about a week ago. Great thing I got everything you just named lol
That bonnet 🤣🤣🤣 your funny
I’ve been locked 🔒 26 days.
These bonnets when wet deep into pillows and stain your pillows… basically the bonnets run or bleed when wet…. Any advice to avoid this?
I’m three months into the journey can’t wait for my one yearrrr
Darnit well played sir. I did indeed like the video because of the cute little penguins.
🔒 for 3 days thanks so much for the helpful advice I'm getting scared about breakage.
🔒 no problem
Thank you for the tips. ❤
😭i got grey hair and im 15😂 genetics be making my shi look wild
Wish I would have known this years ago even though my locs have grown from less than an inch to past my shoulders. Sometimes they would be extremely dry looking and I wondered why. I always thought excessive water would dry them out and didn't know if I got caught in the rain I should have oiled them later. Thanks
Your locks are beautiful. How did you keep them from thinning as they got longer? Usually when I see long locks, sometimes it’s super thin
I need to try this out for real. It’s simple. 🔒🔒
Exactly what I needed! Thank you!
No problem 🔒
🔒 for 5 going on 6 months 🔥 I’m loving my journey so far. thanks for the tips 😁 Will be using these from now on, also… i actually use that brand of the oil for my shampoo, conditioner, retwists & i have a leave in growth mists and another for strong roots
Thanks for watching.what’s your leave in growth mist?
If your a athlete and basically sweat almost everyday should still use the water as moisturizer? I use oils like 2-3 days out the week
🔒 2nd day of my journey, locs forever
Yessir 🔒
If I use a water based moisturizer for my locs. And then use plan water will it rise away the water based moisturizer? Like a detox on my scalp. So it’s not so heavy with product?
Thanks brotha man 🤣 that what a fellow gangsta needed 😆
🔒 almost 1 year in !!! Loc gang!!! Great content btw
Appreciate it 🔒
Even tho you got a fresh retwist do you still use water to moisturize ur retwist?
When I used castor oil, i used very little and when I lay down it leaks through and stains my pillows. How do I avoid that?
Rub it in with your pads of your fingers and tie done with a durag is what i do
Make sure it’s on ya scalp. You made need a pillow wrap under your pillow cover. Used to happen to me all the time when I used beeswax 🔒
@@chaseway8737 lol you said pads like we have paws and shit
Do you need your locs dry before you wrap them ? Thanks 🙏🏿
How long should I wait to spray my hair or how often should I oil it while it is in the retwisted 2 strands
I like your grey hair!!!!!
Hi
I was wondering how do you hydrate your scalp after a retwist? Me personally it starts to itch like crazy after about a week and I end up messing them up
Great video answered alot of questions thanks.
No problem 🔒
Just starting too, thanks for the vid! 🔒
No problem 🔒
I have a question my locs are starting to thin a bit and i would like to thicken them i gave 2A hair and im stuck in between restarting or just combining with the 2 strand twist.. what should i do. 😢
I keep it gangsta with my bonnet 😩😂😂😂🔒
Yessir 🔒
This was so helpful. Thank you
So is spray bottle required? Or is it an option. Cs can't we just use 🚿
Spray bottle is better for the locs
🔒 question, you got any recommendations for a deep moisturizer after something like a detox that dries the hair out more than usual?
I Yesterday interlocked my dreads again, can i start right now moistur my hair or should i wait a little bit aftee the maintainance?❤
I started my loc journey a couple days ago.l! Hoping for a big gain to hair health
I just came across your video. Thank you for sharing
i have the spray variation of black castor oil for my scalp but it seems to leave a flaky residue behind when it dries should i just use water in a spray bottle instead??
I’m late but if you can respond it’ll be helpful! If I use rose water then some peppermint tee tree oil after will that be fine?I have short starter locs if that helps
Yep. I do the same
Hey Vinny I have a couple question so I started my locks on Jan 20th 2022 my hair was already kinda long the lady started them in 2 strand twist though so with that being said should I moisturizer them everyday with water too ? And put oil in my scalp 2-3 times a week ?
Thanks... I didn't kno this part 🔥🔥🔥
🔒
Just started my loc journey a month ago. Does this method apply to started locs or mature locs?
wait..so you just wrap up your locs in the bonnet when they are wet? Isnt that how you produce mold and overall smell?
That's if you do a wash, than go to sleep with em wet
Looking good in that bonnet man style hey
appreciate it Gang
That penguin tactic was good. You get me.
yo bro im at 11 months since I got my starter locs , (hightop faze) I was at eye and ear length all around 2 months ago But I saw some lint buildup in the front dreads and ended up accidentally unlocking the locs in the front by trying to get the lint out, ( I didn’t know there was a specific wash for this issue) so now My hair is uneven the back is still ear length and some of the side locs too but I have a few in the front and on the sides that are extremely thin now due to a ton of hair falling out when I unlocked them trying to get the lint out , my question is should I wait for the hair to grow back will it get thicker in the Front or should I cut some off the back and crochet to the front or just restart the whole loc journey?
I have like 50 dreads approximately BTW and the ones in front are like forehead length right now too
You can repair em 🔒
Just leave them alone
I just heard that you can use a soft bristle brush to gently brush out lint from locs.
Thanks man i've been going too hard on the oils

What about when your locs is style what's your routine for that
Thanks g I’ll keep you posted
Had my dreads for about 2-3 years and i'm still scared of getting them wet. I think they'll unravel or whatever
We need that merch bro 🔒
Comin soon 🔒
Facts, that lock emblem us so damn dope
So I just got off a video from yannie the locologist (famous loctican) and she was going off about how people who use water on their hair will cause mold and a damp smell which will damage the locks.
That Trini lady is cr4zy! They don’t have running water in Trinidad, which is why they treat water like precious gold. 🤣🚰🚿 Dude, wet your hair everyday but remember to Sun dry early in the morning! Treat your hair like a plant 🪴!
