The attention to detail is just top of the line!
I wish there was a shop in Southeast Michigan that was this good.
i used to think i did installs well and with care - until i watched this video.. Definitely learned some awesome techniques and will employ them on next project.
Hands down the BEST video/instruction for a 4Runner install. Gives me the confidence to attempt this myself.
Bout to have Best Buy do abounch of work on my car and I came to this channel to get reviews on the kicker key amps.. now I'm here 5 hours later neck deep in this rabbit hole.
thanks for making these lengthy videos. I spent pretty much all day this past Saturday sound deadening all four doors panels of my grand cherokee. Also prepping the doors speakers with metra harnesses (soldered, tesa taped & foamed), prepped my 6x9-6.5" speaker adapters, etc. Also got me thinking of ideas for my X802-5 location and nailing the fast ring installation. These playing in the background of my garage really kept me in the "install" mode!! 👍
Just watched again! What you guys do is a work of art! Your Perfessionalism is unmatched!
What a team - meticulous work and an amazing install. Very enjoyable to watch, learn…..and dream 😁 👍👍👍
You guys should set up a shop so we can buy 3D printed/laser cut pieces from you guys (brackets, adapters)
Great idea
I agree. Those guys are the best in the business.
Thank you sir, i used your videos to upgrade my 2013 jetta with a pioneer head unit / RR, all worked like a charm !
This is a great idea! Even though I watch each video when y'all upload I have gone back and watched it again in one piece! Great job as always guys!
I wish you guys would have recorded the subwoofer installation
+1.
I was so impressed with your installation of all the products you showed us for this a Toyota forerunner. I had no idea how creative creative you could become and putting that thing in there like a factory install you guys are miracle workers I never been so impressed in my life good job was really a pleasure to watch that whole thing from beginning to the end have a great day.
That head unit is AWESOME!!! I didn't think I would like it at 1st but when I saw how you mounted it and it was still adjustable it grew on me. The extra care and detail you put into a customer's vehicle install is great to see. Putting those extra brackets on it when you didn't have to & then creating that awesome bracket for the type c cord was showing your shop has something that a lot of people lack these days and that my friend is INTEGRITY! I would 100% trust handing my keys over to this shop for an install & be super stoked about doing it. I have learned a lot of tips and tricks thru these videos over the years so thank you for the step-by-step stuff. A lot of people cringe at the cost of a "professional" install, but they don't understand or comprehend the level of knowledge and problem-solving skills it takes, especially on most vehicles because they require random mods and fabrications on the fly during the process. Super clean install though as usual guys. Keep up the good work & thanks for sharing your car audio knowledge with the community.
Every toyota owner loves their toyota
Outstanding install...Man you guys have really grown even more with subscribers! Let go for a MIL. Congrats, well deserved
Thank you for this video! Was able to install most of the same components in my 4Runner with no snags thanks to this.
Great work guys! Wish you had a shop in Australia, my car would be perfect for your 911 videos. Not only was all the carpet not fitting the wires were unscrewed, scratches everywhere and they didnt eve bolt in the headunit. Love the professionalism you show!! Keep it up
Seriously great video! Job well done. Your attention to detail is phenomenal! Your video editing is on point.
Another great job guys!!!! Well done!
I really really really wish you guys were located here. The level of detail into the install is amazing. Most shops here just swap it out, no foam or rattle killer. Just straight installed into the bare metal
I'm not gonna lie, I am going to be copying a lot of ideas from you guys when I build the system in my 4Runner. Fantastic attention to detail!
Wow! You guys show so much care and detail to everything!!! If you guys charge $1,000,000 per install it's worth it!🤣
What a clean install!!!
Nice work, you guys are awesome!!!!
I think I have gone crazy, I could swear I have seen this before.
right. serious case of deja vu here.
It’s the final recap video.
@@alfredoibarra9825 hi, I am new here, just so I understand, this is just one long video of all the short ones right? There is nothing new though.
@@jamesdk5417 correct
wow! you guys know your stuff! top notch install/knowledge!!👍👍👍
25:07 I just installed the Sony XV8500 in 4Runner w JBL. I got it from Crutchfield w all the harnesses. I didn't have to connect the wires. It came with a harness that fit between the t-harness and the Sony HU.
great video guys love the long vids....
Ton of great tips in this one! always appreciate you!
Deans 2am rant 🤣🤣 go to bed it won't bite
30:53 OMG! This is why nothing worked in my setup with component speakers who started their race from the door and then towards the dash...Such small details....😂
Fernando: for tight spots during sound treatment. Instead of the plastic spudger/panel tool, have you considered a "stitcher"? It's a skinny roller wheel, and the roller is textured or knurled instead of just smooth. Used in tire repair and installing rubber retainer for window screens.
Great .Nice work
I will pay for this kind of service. New sub
Wow man y’all are some real pros gear job
I have the factory enclosure in my non jbl 4runner. It would be interesting to see what they did for a panel to cover it up.... Maybe a follow up vid????
I just installed a factory sub enclosure in my non JBL 2016 4Runner. It looks good. I wish I had the JBL panel, but those are like $400. I may build something out of abs just to keep dust out because there is a slight gap where I removed the storage area so the enclosure would fit.
Amazing you guys
Beautiful install and it probably sounds even better. What would this cost me for a 5th gen Toyota 4Runner?
Nice great job again.👍👍👍👍
I feel like the outer fast ring trimming tutorial was directed at me for ruining a $650 set of focal components and asking about it on one of these videos. An expensive lesson...
Dean!!!! you of should convince the customer to put in a single din from a pawn shop ..like that Kia you guys did!!!...😀😃😄😁😆😅🤣😂
Nice guys!
I really need you guys to do my 2018 Highlander
Kenwood has the best floating screen out there, what is he talking about?
Now I want one in my 4Runner when I buy it soon. That day drive down though LOL
And yeah, you're not buying a 4Runner for the system. You're buying for the reliability and inexpensive repair costs. Plus the off road capabilities.
Just installed a lc7i w/kenwood xr901-5 in a 19' non jbl set up to power all the factory speakers and a 10" Skar sub and now I'm really considering going all out like you guys have done here. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing, lol! Awesome install and that HU really has me contemplating what's next. Added ds18 pro tweeters but going to give some 3.5" a try next in the dash.
i was able to fit 4" coax (hertz) in the dash (5th gen 4runner) there is sooooo much room in the dash locations, why you'd just plop a 1" tweeter in there (what most do) blows my mind, with all that room.
Thanks.
This is incredible work... If I wanted to do a similar build (minus the professional quality installation and sound deadening), would I be able to piece it together and install it over a longer period of time? If so, what order would you recommend doing it in? I.E. stereo first, then sound deadening, amp, etc.
P.S.
--Shoot me your venmo if consulting wages are required! 🤣
Would it be possible to show a list of all the parts you use in your builds?
Got a 5th gen & boy u guys did a he'll of a job. If you do it do it right the 1st time.
if this video had only been available in 2011 when I bought my 4runner, so much pain and suffering could have been saved. the way Toyota wires their stereos is less than ideal. I wonder if the 2020 model has the "party mode" button.
weird, i have the same generation, and found it super super easy/simple.
Was there mention of placing the punch sub in factory enclosure or was there a stand alone box?
Dem Kentucky Fried Chicken speakers doe!
Do you have a total finished reveal video with sound test for the 4runner. We just bought a 2022 and I was wondering about upgrading the speakers and head unit.
If u guys were closer I'd have you do all three of my vehicles
Speakers on the ceiling, speakers on the floor...loud music in cars.
i wish they would've opted for a custom box for the p3..
Could we get customer reactions? That would be AWESOME
Did they combine the rear doors/rear hatch speakers wired together in parallel to put a 2 ohm load on rear channels of the Kenwood amp?
Given that they used speed wire to the front harness, I would assume so.
It doesn’t look like they did, but I’m definitely going to bridge mine for the rears on my 5 channel JL Amp. That way I’ll put out a 4 ohm load instead of the 8 ohm that I’d get if I had them on their own separate channels.
My new “ professionally” installed JVC car stereo works fine until somebody calls me on my cell. The radio simply powers off and I have to turn it back on. Lol Grrrr
sound deadening without heating? really? did you leave the holes open on the surface? foam tunnel INSIDE the door?rear doors no sound deadening at all? fuse location I just don't like, but... it's crap, guys
I didn’t get it either. So much time and materials in the front door and nothing in the rears or hatch. You don’t even have to cover everything 100% just adding a little weight dampens a lot.
They do what the client wants
hey guys how are you connecting the 6 speakers to the amp?? of course not counting the bass
Must be same as factory
Front dash and doors wired together parallel
Rear and hatch wired together parallel
@@marcnakanishi1568 Fronts are wired in parallel, rears are wired in series
Need to show how to wire speakers from amp
Speed wire from the amp into the stereo harness
If your looking for a install on the newest Toyota audio system this ain't it. This is not a 2020+ 4 runner, looks like a 2019 based on the flashing. the new system has completely different connections. would love to get info on from anyone who has done an install with maestro controls on a 2021 4runner tho.
Hey guys, since you are working on a Toyota I was just looking around on Metra for my Camry and noticed that they now have a harness for the 4 pin dash speaker, I looked long and far a few years ago when I first got the car to find something when I swapped speakers.
Yes they do. We just got them in the other day
wow hard to find installers that take such care and thought in the install. this is what people should understand as professional installers. quality work guys. thanks for the vidoe👍
What was the total cost for that set up
Could you recommend a good installer in the general Denver CO area? love your show!!!
I'd would to have a radio radio that can play con junto musical real nice. I'm 53
I like all speakers and radio with the sub,I have same truck what will it cost me
I'm assuming the rear speakers are just for back fill hence the rear doors and tail gate didn't get sound treatment.
For what else would it be
Fernando looks like cookie monster when he was looking in the window at the end. 😂
Are you guys open for business?
Honestly? would have tried to put the pocket on top and mount the screen further down but that's just me lmao. great job either way.
Wait i know someone had to have asked this...but "KFC" so they are making speakers now...?? Lol 😆
Can I install a JLAudio 10TW3-D4 to replaced the factory JBL subwoofer? Amp will be added as well. Thanks for your advice
How were the cargo door speakers powered?
Do you use a memory saver that plugs into the obd2 port? Because i know on certain cars you can mess up the computer if it loses power.
Can anyone point me in the direction of those tiny butt connectors Dean uses to cap off unused wires? I’ve looked EVERYWHERE for them. Cannot find them and would love to add this to my arsenal of install steps.,
Great install. For the seat position, couldn't you just use the preset button on the power seats to save the original position? You wouldn't have to measure that way.
Also does the amp mounting plate being under just the rear of the rails change the angle of the seat? Do you add anything under the front to level it out or is that not needed?
He was just making sure he had room mate. Thats all. and his mount plate, does not change anything on the seat position, at all. Very clever on his part.
Where is the subwoofer? Did it fit in the factory location? Did you have to purchase any parts to allow for installation in factory location on a vehicle that did not come with a subwoofer to start?
What is the typical installation cost for a full system like this? I know the components can vary greatly, but just curious on labor and installation parts only.
Can you tell me what you did with the other 2 speaker wires on the dash speakers? That's one of the final steps of my install I'm trying to figure out.
How thick, tacky, gooey is the material for which the vapour barrier is attached to? Mine is like Albertan tar sands thick.
The title says 2020, yet you built and flashed for a 2019. 🤔
I need to add a subwoofer to my stereo in my Pontoon boat. I have the new Fusion RA770 head and 4 speakers. I’m wondering if I should just buy a powered sub and place it in the console? The console has an access door unlike Tracker boats where their consoles just have an opening with no door
I’m wondering if I can just put the sub in there and close the door? Would enough sound get out to sound good? Sort of the same concept as putting a speaker box in a car trunk.
Anybody have any knowledge or ideas on this?
Thanks
How much a difference does it make to add deadening to the door panel? I am totally down with the door treatment itself, but the door panel as well? On my 07 Civic there is very little room between the door and the door panel.
Also, I'm debating where to install my Audison AV1.1 tweets. I have read from some folks that say the factory mounting locations in the very corner of the dash will reflect too much off the windshield. The factory locations would make the install a lot easier, and I wouldn't have to custom fab tweeter mounts in the pillars. I can't be the only person to put aftermarket components in an 8th gen Honda Civic....Anybody have any thoughts? TIA
can u guys do a chevy malibu 2020 radio install please? maybe u already do. it's says it's not recommended to put a new radio in that car, I just want to know why really. please help
Vote for Pedro
All that work to the inside of the front doors. The rear doors....nothing. A good description of being cheap over an upgrade that would be inexpensive by comparison.
Greetings I want to install pioneer sea-835 tab in kia sorento sx 14 is the most complete integration system that I should use to the guidance and navigation functions ???
kfc speakers ......taking care of your ears and your tummy.....
What brand speakers did you used?
How much does a setup like this cost?
🔥
What do you do about the factory bluetooh microphone? Or do you have to use the one for the radio?
How can I get that specific sound treatment?
Hi I have an alpine ilx-f309 unit wanted to know if there was a bracket for my toyota rav4
What year is it? Just go to www.metraonline.com and it has a drop down menu. Just enter your vehicle info and it will give you the parts needed
These guys are so meticulous!
What's a good amp for a set of p1s4 speakers for a semi truck?
