Perfect example of impatience being expensive. The fact you guys are booked out means your busy, which means your good. I was an installer from 98 to 2013. Got MECP Advanced and we had to fix our share of chop shop shitstalls. Really glad I stumbled on to this channel. I messed my right hand up bad and I had to get into another field so its nice to live vicariously through these types of videos lol.
That water damage is quite normal in the S550 Mustang. Somehow some water leaks in from the sail panel area and runs down on the inside of the door and drips out where the speaker is. I have this in my Mustang, too whenever i wash my car or when it's raining. And this is the prime reason to not use wooden adapters in a S550 Mustang. Fortunately it doesn't seem to wet the backside of the speakers though.
so much valuable information on this channel. Im in my first year running a mobile install operation, videos like this honestly help so much just to find my routes for wiring, the shortcuts that might make sense in theory, you guys explain clearly why it doesnt, or in some cases does work, really like the way you structure these videos. cheers!
I'm impressed, great job - Me auto body shop business for 50 years and trust me when I say that I have run across many butchers in my day and You are not one of them.... CHEERS
MAAAANNNN!!! I LOVE THE 911 DIARIES!! DEAN AND FERNANDO!!! YOU GUYS ARE THE TRUTH! IMMACULATE!!! SOOO OCD WITH CAR STEREO INSTALLS, THAT'S WHAT I APPRECIATE!!
With the awesome work and attention to detail from Dean & Fernando along with the shady "I saw it on UA-cam I am a professional" shops around that do hack jobs, this is exactly the reason I am hoping schedules allow me to get my car done by 5 STAR when I go to Florida in March.
Awesome to see the level of detail, ingenuity, and care you guys put into an install. Getting ready to redo the system in my Scion and picked up some great ideas and best practices from this video. Also, those wooden front door adapters? lol. MDF, doors, and Florida humidity are a bad trio.
I’m a diy guy and I watch 1 millions videos before I take my stuff into the shop for this exact same reason. Seeing this video I will never take my stuff to a shop
If there's an installer Team of the Year award you guys have that hands down. What I like about you guys your no-nonsense it's no bling about it it's just form follows function. I wish you guys could fix my ride. 2002 Ford SVT Lightning fix all my mess up cuz all my s*** looks bad compared to y'all's
I love the work you guys do, My next truck if you guys don't blow up even more and expand to California area I will buy the truck in Florida just to have you guys install the sound system! Love the 911 vids keep doing great work!
I really wish you guys were closer to me. I have has several shops work on my mustang and it had nothing but issues . Finally did some work on it myself and it's pretty decent now.
Amazing surgery Doctor Dean and Doctor Fernando at 5 Star 💫 stereo heroes This guy was falling apart and you guys put him back together. 🔊🙏🏼👍🏼. See you guys on the next one.✌🏼
Wonder how much the hourly rate is to have two technicians on one vehicle on a full day project in a one stall garage? Seems like they’re making great money and putting out amazing service none the less
We don’t have to wear the special ( PPE ) personal protective equipment you have your feet lined with? But of course if the work and attention to being neat, clean and very awesome at the job your doing. Y’all are doing great Installing that system in that mustang. Y’all do great work!! Thanks for showing it on tape. Hopefully I can learn a few things by it. And use it more as a flawless example to follow Thanks y’all
I would paint in black the amp rack so they blend white the carpet, I have the harness and the dsr1 in my options since a couple years ago and I know it’s the best option for the 9 speaker system
Fernando needs to be a little more careful while soldering, @25:15 you can see the fumes while soldering rise up towards his face! Those fumes should really not be inhaled, All he needs is a little fume extractor or fan to prevent him from inhaling any fumes! Maybe you have one and this was just an isolated incident! Either way please do not take this the wrong way, Your channel is great and your work is even better!
Ran across your video a year to late. Just wanted to say you guys did an awesome job on this car. I wish I knew what it cost the customer and how many hours it took you guys to knock it out of the park.
Just a quick update here. I asked this in a livestream the guys did on Instagram when they were working on a Mustang, and there are internal clips that you have to undo. Looks like a real pain to get to with a flat-head screwdriver or similar pry tool.
I absolutely love your 911 installs. My question tho how do you keep walk in customers away while you have all day installs???? Do you have a store front that stays locked?
speaking of water I live in Seattle where it's wet 300 days a year. I find that singer fast rings are just door sponges. You guys use them though do you not have this same problem???
I’ve watched a lot of these now. And question always is… HOW DO YOU KNOW the type of work the shop does. When you get the car back, everything is already put together. Without X-ray vision to see through the panels, how can the end customer know that the shop did a crap job? Or better question, how can the customer know if it’s a good or bad shop before they get the install?
My shop in NY. We call 911 stuff "instalates". When the ghetto install need a clean up, we say let's get the instalates out. Long story behind where instalates came from.
There are some things i can sometimes sympathize about with these other shops. I work for an audio shop. I have routers and bits, ect. at home (Mobile-solutions ftw!) but my shop does not. I tell my salesman that I need speaker adapters and harnesses and the customers are like no you don't need those or no i don't want to wait. Then when i finish they are like why did you cut into my harness! Or why does my speaker sound so hallow? Well, you told me to and I recommended against it. Then they give me a negative review.
That was actually a fire hazard let's just say you left everything alone installed a backup battery and ignored all of the other flawless installation with more power voltage would have more of a chance of danger but they are fuses but fuses do not apply on channels for amplifier or radio so bye what I want to say it could be costly..
A shop did that install.....are you serious? It looks like a 15-year-old high schooler installed that s***. No way did a shop do that, and if they actually did, no way they are still in business. Do you ever report businesses to the better Business bureau?
That is the ugliest speaker ring i have ever seen!! And he payed a audio shop to do that!!! That's realy taking peoples money for something they could have done them self..
Imagine being such a car audio savant/perfectionist and dealing with installs like this. Much patience.
Patience of a Sant.
I’ve been doing this my self on my own time but I’d love to be in a legit shop with legit builds it’s work I would like doing so how could it be work!

That sir is a clean installation! Really like the simple but effective idea of the hinged plastic flap

You guys do top notch installs. I'm old but I like the videos of before and after.
It's amazing the shady shops survive !!!
I love the work you guys do. I wish the installers here does the kind of quality work.
i watch tons of audio youtube.
i learned most of my actual "knowledge" through you guys.
love it

The other installer should start watching these videos so they can learn proper installation...I know they have helped me
I’m a diy guy and I watch 1 millions videos before I take my stuff into the shop for this exact same reason. Seeing this video I will never take my stuff to a shop

Wow that is clean and tucked away, superb job guys!
I love the work you guys do, My next truck if you guys don't blow up even more and expand to California area I will buy the truck in Florida just to have you guys install the sound system! Love the 911 vids keep doing great work!
Just rewatched this. So much goodness!!
That's a lot of work. I appreciate good installers.
I really wish you guys were closer to me. I have has several shops work on my mustang and it had nothing but issues . Finally did some work on it myself and it's pretty decent now.

Best video out there on Mustang audio! Wish I could fly you to Las Vegas and have you work on my 2016 GT!

Love these vids!!!
All I want is a factory style small sub in my s550, unfortunately I don't trust any shop near me to put out this kind of quality. Looked great!
Appreciated 911 Job ... excellent quality ... Love it
I admire your work guys... it is amazing... regards from Lima, Perú
Dean and Fernando for all your car Audio needs...anything else is uncivilized!!!
I would paint in black the amp rack so they blend white the carpet, I have the harness and the dsr1 in my options since a couple years ago and I know it’s the best option for the 9 speaker system

Love the work. Just subscribed.
That’s a Mickey Shorr job for sure
Amazing job and awesome video as always. Can you recommend a shop in the Los Angeles area that can deliver this level of quality?
I’m guessing it’s West Marine or Car Tunes.
Had to be a JL dealer near Clearwater. They are the 2 closest.
nah its cash & hurry
It would be nice if we could see the customer’s reaction to your great job.
Ran across your video a year to late. Just wanted to say you guys did an awesome job on this car. I wish I knew what it cost the customer and how many hours it took you guys to knock it out of the park.
Deans been dropping videos like there hot lolol
They’re on vacation this week. These are prerecorded.
Lovin it. These full installs are fun.
Dean / Fernando,
Another great video. Now, can I get an appointment so I can have truck tune properly?
great work guys....
Why did you put 2 fuses on the 0 gage cable??? 1 at the front battery (under hood) and 1 in the trunk before the secondary SPP680 Stinger battery???
Why didn’t you put insulation on the doors like everywhere else? Just enough sound deadening on the doors?
Awesome work
Would love to see reactions of clients
How do you get the plastic piece that runs along the floor by the seats to open up so you can run wire through it??
Just a quick update here. I asked this in a livestream the guys did on Instagram when they were working on a Mustang, and there are internal clips that you have to undo. Looks like a real pain to get to with a flat-head screwdriver or similar pry tool.
I absolutely love your 911 installs. My question tho how do you keep walk in customers away while you have all day installs???? Do you have a store front that stays locked?
Sounds like he has someone working the front of the store.
Cheap, fast, right. You only get to pick two. Hopefully it’s a learning lesson.

How do you determine the cost of the repair job like this 911 to see all the mess that other people do how do you determine the cost
This guy needs a DSP!! Nice install as always
My shop in NY. We call 911 stuff "instalates". When the ghetto install need a clean up, we say let's get the instalates out.
Long story behind where instalates came from.
Would love to hear it some time
Like the old saying goes, do it right or do it twice
👍👍😎✌️ Awesome job, as usual.
Does it have a second battery from the factory? Curious to the benefit, and how to add one to my old Honda Accord
if only i can find a shop like this in southern california near long beach area
What dash gauges and radio was that and dash plate i want them for my car thanks
beautiful amp rack!!!!!🏆🙌🏻👍🏻
👍3rd from AZ, great work
Have you done a stereo upgrade on a 2018 chevy traverse yet ?
Can you recommend an installer Near Austin/Round Rock TX?
Anyone know where i can find that subwoofer box?
Good morning everyone.
The moral of only fools rush in sadly fits the owner of this car, he wanted the job done in a hurry now he is paying twice to get it done right.
where you guys located? awesome work
Won't those amps get hot under there?
18:54 In there a reason why the power wires going from the 2nd battery to the amps are not fused?
The customer’s impatience=cost him $$$$
I hope the guy has seen the original or sees this airing of his car.
How do you determine the cost of a new installation of the stuff you do
Open a shop and figure it out for yourself.
No ofc wire?
Hopefully that’s his girls car. That ain’t no man with a 4 cylinder mustang lol great install as always!
There are some things i can sometimes sympathize about with these other shops. I work for an audio shop. I have routers and bits, ect. at home (Mobile-solutions ftw!) but my shop does not. Valuable lessons: the customer is never right and the second you touch their car you own the job you did( good or bad)
Inform me when you all do an upgrade on Mercedes Benz E350 W212. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's amazing that someone charged him money for that.
I still don't know why they wait to check polarity after everything is together.
25:20 forgot the heat shrink yes!!!!!
I hate to think how much the labor cost is. I wouldn't go to this much effort to replace my Mach 460 system.
So why not just run the amplifier ground to the battery? Could have been a bit cleaner, and just one chassis ground.
True story
GODS!!!
No roadkill in that one, huh.....in the doors I mean....looks like plenty in other places!
At the end it cost him double 😢😅😂😂
Do a Tahoe
Charge that clown double for your trouble.
Boa garotos
👍👍😎✌️
The only thing missing is customer's reactions!! Seriously
That was actually a fire hazard let's just say you left everything alone installed a backup battery and ignored all of the other flawless installation with more power voltage would have more of a chance of danger but they are fuses but fuses do not apply on channels for amplifier or radio so bye what I want to say it could be costly..
Second hi from Arizona....
Dude hire me
it always cost more to undo someone else's shoddy work
I hope that the other shop name is 911..lol..
Buy once cry once. This dude has paid out so much on a install because he has no patience but i guess if money is no option do what makes you happy
I hope the installer who did this crappy work knows they are a waste of space and they should probably change careers.
1 street
A shop did that install.....are you serious? It looks like a 15-year-old high schooler installed that s***. No way did a shop do that, and if they actually did, no way they are still in business. Do you ever report businesses to the better Business bureau?
It is all true, we can’t make this stuff up
That is the ugliest speaker ring i have ever seen!! And he payed a audio shop to do that!!! That's realy taking peoples money for something they could have done them self..
