I told him this once when I was complaining about jcm800s having no balls. But he can coax the tone out of them. Anybody can make a Mark V or SLO sound heavy but it takes a certain skill in the hands to make the 800s scream

Euge, to me you are the Top Dog, on UA-cam when it comes to the real Marshall tone, your playing always blows me away, Marshall should make a Euge JCM 800 model.

Volume pot and picking technique are definitely effective with this amp for clean up, but you get amazing clean tones from the low input if you want it.

Euge, just a few questions. From your website I understood that you prefer Marshalls over Boogies. Is that correct? If so, then why exactly Marshalls over Boogies? Also: which of your four 2203s do you like the most and why? Also: why 2203s over 2204s?

Can you tell me what settings your using on the SD-1 and the CE-5?
Can’t remember what I used on this one but if I put pics in the video of those, those are the settings. Usually something like this: SD: Level 4 o’clock, Tone 1 o’clock, Drive 8 o’clock. CE-5: Everything between 1-2 o’clock.

It depends how much and how loud one plays so it could be anything from weeks / months to years. I usually need to change power tubes to my Marshalls once a year. Preamp tubes lasts a lot longer in general than power amp tubes.

HI. Do you know why Zakk Wylde doesn't use the Chorus or Flanger in the Send Return? Zakk use it in front the amp direct in the Pre. I even saw that lately he is using the Chorus and the Flanger before the Overdrive pedal in front the amp. When generally everyone recommends using them after overdrives and distortions. What do you think about this?

People think Zakk has the gain on his OD pedal on zero, but he has said years ago in interviews that all knobs are on full including gain.

Signatura gear is mostly a marketing scheme for companies to sell more gear.
I wonder how true to the original some of this gear is... I think a better option is money spent on grabbing your favorite gear and finding someone to mod it to what you like. Create your own signature sound. But just an opinion... I stopped learning covers in my early 20's.
Sometimes. Can’t argue with personal opinions. We all create our own signature sound with our hands when we play. Not a single gear makes that: pickups pickup the sound, amplifier amplify the sound and so on.
I used to play in a cover band back in the day and we also were the backing band for several famous artists in Finland. I learned several hundreds of songs during that time and it was really educational. Definitely made me a better player and musician in general. I still learn and study other people’s music ’cos I want to keep getting better every day anf I’ve got so many great ideas to my own playing and songwriting by doing that.
IMO one should never stop to learn new things and educate themselves ’cos that’s a quick downhill road if one does so. In my experience if someone thinks they don’t need to learn new things and are great, they are like the emperor without clothes.
Music, and guitar playing, is a fantastic thing ’cos there’s always new stuff to learn and to write. And to play.
I was curious why you use a noise suppressor after your SD-1 ? I run a similar rig and don’t need it…..
To get rid of the hiss. Quite important to keep everything quiet in studio.
Can you compare it (in a future video) with a JMP50/100? An non diode clipper.

It sounds like the Zakk head has 6l6 in it and the standard head has el-34...(that is what the difference sounds like to me)

What the fuck has Zakk EVER done with an amp that makes him deserving of a signature amp...Sure a chorus (the dominant portion of his tone frankly), but the amp ...with as much chorus as he uses it could be any amp under all that shit!!!!!!
Made a few albums, sold millions of them and has lots of fans all over the world. I guess any company would be happy to launch a product with those specs.
