I have a ton of videos to edit from the Alaska trip. I filmed almost every day that I was up there and am starting to edit and get them all uploaded now (which is why these are almost a month behind on the timeline) New videos come out every Sunday and Thursday at 3PM PST. Soon I will be posting 3 videos a week!
You sound as if you already returned and this Alaska trip is over. Ship the van back? Otherwise a lot of driving back to the lower 40. Anticlimactic now it is known to be "finis." Wait - I had a thought. Did you sell your van and bail home via the airlines?
You got a list of things to do dude! 1. Proper Shower 2. Haircut 3. Grocery Shopping 4. Walmart Shopping 5. Fill your water tank 6. Fix your diesel heater 7. Probably need an oil change 8. Laundry 9. As always dishes Last but not least, post amazing videos Thanks for the great vids my dude Oh yeah wash the van and clean the windshield lol
For someone who is unfortunately stuck where I'm at for 1-3 years these videos help man. Eventually I'll be living in a SUV and living the dream but right now is terrible. These videos help me out
Very cool. So my mother and I attempted to drive that last September. I have a 20 ft pleasure way. I’m 58 and she’s 78. We made it about 70 miles past lake Watson. We stayed the night at the continental divide campground where we decided it was taking too long. We turned around the next morning and spent 3 days getting back to Washington. It was disappointing but our change of plans took us to some great places along the coast and inland making our way back to so cal. I was happy we made it at least into the Yukon Territory. We have plans to fly to Alaska next year and rent a car or camper to finish driving what we missed. I’m enjoying watching your adventures. 😊
This has been quite the journey , the videos are so short and I always find myself wanted to see what’s next, it’s kind of bittersweet that he’s reached his destination , just hope he continues to pump out more videos at the same rate 👏🏿
Waiting for new videos has me going back to see old ones I've missed. It's pretty awesome to see how far Ryan has come in shooting and editing. Really a commendable job.
My relatives built the Dalton Highway and Alaskan Pipeline. I lived up their in 2011, it was great time. Actually, I didn't realize how wild of a time it really was until somewhat recently. Enjoy it man!
We should all thank the entire Wollybugger family for building not only the Pipeline, but the hightway, TOO! Busy little buggers! Expect the Large one, apparently. 'Living' seems to be the accomplishment most often attributed to the @largewoollybugger variety.
Congrats on the end of the road trip and just to add the new drone footage really adds something to the feel of the videos. am glad that you put in just enough and not go overboard on it, which makes it really tastefully done. Been watching them since you were well below 100k subs and my God your camerawork, editing and the way you talk to the camera, the pacing of your videos and how you choose to storyboard your content cohesively really had improved by leaps and bounds. I think I speak for many of your subs to say that we can't wait for you one millionth sub.
I am all caught up watched the whole playlist in like 2 days. I Can't wait to see what the Dalton Highway brings! Thanks for letting us experience this along your side.
I have just found your channel and have been binge watching a lot of it - especially this trip up the Alcan. In 1970, when I was 14 years old, my father fulfilled his lifelong dream of going to Alaska and took the whole family. We drove up in a station wagon and camped in a canvas tent every night. (I found your channel because my husband and I camp in a Dodge Ram Pro Van, too.) It was the trip of a lifetime, and I can tell you feel the same way about your trip. There was no Dalton Highway, or pipeline back then, but we did drive up to the Arctic Circle which was the farthest you could drive. I'm glad to see there is still so much wilderness there. I remember picking blueberries and cranberries to put in our pancakes when we ran out of syrup. It took the entire month of August for us, which seems about the same these days. Thanks so much for posting your trip so we could journey along!
Glad for the update man. You're about 24 days behind, so was worrying when I hadn't seen anything for a while. But it's probably a lot to film, edit, upload, and still do all the normal things like drive and live. Safe travels.
go to Kirkenes Norway and do a crab tour. They were snow crabs and the meat from the legs were as big as hot dogs and bigger. We ate pounds of them....stuffed ourselves.
Being from Maryland myself I can say Crab is one of my favorite foods too. Being that I live in Germany now that is the only food I miss from the US. Fresh blue crab soooo good!!!!!
We have that in common; crab is my favorite food on the planet too. Last time I was in Alaska we were there for 6 days and ate crab 4 of them. In Juneau we had king legs nearly as big as my forearm. It's gotten so crazy expensive though! It doesn't help that the season is actually during the time when it's not a great idea to be chilling in Alaska..October through January. Dungeness isn't bad by any means, but it's my least favorite. Tanner (basically snow) and especially king are the best! I actually prefer dungeness cold with cocktail sauce. So excited you made it! Excitedly following to see the rest of the trip!
Hey Ryan im from South Africa i just want to thank you for this amazing vids. Il probably never get to do that journey so keep safe and ur living a journey man's dream
Hey @ Ryan Adam from Pittsburgh always watch your videos after a long day at work wines me down but hey I'm so excited to hear that you going to do a catch and cook i think you should fish more often you visit some beautiful places be cool to see you catch and cook more often but glad you finally finishing this journey peace to ya be safe brother.
Ryan, you have to pack that oven in and retire it, a air fryer is what you need, you'll cook up a storm ! In my house einuse the Hobs and air fryers the oven doesn't get a look in, if I was van lifing I'd have the same set up
Could you do a video about the costs of a van life? I don‘t know if you made such a video yet, but it would be really interesting to know, how much you need for getting such a van life started and how much you gotta spend per month!! I really appreaciate watching your videos, you do a great job!
When I was younger we would go to the Oregon coast a lot since we lived close to Portland and a few times we went crabbing and would catch our own dungeness crabs and take them back to the resort to cook and eat them fresh.
I don’t normally watch van life stuff, but these videos are pretty cool! One of these days I’ll make it up the Alaskan Highway, that’s definitely our dream! For now we’re just enjoying the heck out of the eastern US! I appreciate you sharing this! My name is also Ryan!
I've heard Ryan say on his live streams that his youtube world is obviously different but I didn't realize it would be almost like a month, in this video he says it's the 4th of july butt in our time it's actually july 28th. It makes sense though for all the driving he has to pull off, otherwise his videos would just be him driving in the middle of nowhere for hours on end. Not a complaint just something I noticed and kind of surprised me. Love the series!
Very much enjoy the ride along to see the vistas as you drive. Crabs looked really good, but ya, not much meat out of such big creatures. Stay safe, see you next time.
Ryan a few years ago I was in Alaska during the 4th of July but in Juneau they shot the fireworks off starting the end of July 3rd after midnight early morning of the 4th to capture the darkness.
I watch your videos regularly, but never comment. That being said I can't let this slide...this man said "Also, I said about a month ago that I wasn't going to be cutting my hair until I made it to Alaska and we have made it to Alaska so I'm allowed to get my haircut today." THEN HE HITS US WITH "Honestly the longer hair has kind of GROWN ON ME..." 😂😂😂
I was salivating ❣️ crab is my all time favorite, too. I think I coulda eaten at least double what you had, tho 😂 I’m enjoying your journey. Looking forward to the rest.
Rly cool Alaska series. You might enjoy the game "The long dark" which is a survival game which takes place in Alaska or northern Canada, since you can't see the aurora borealis in the summer you can see it in that game instead :D
Interesting about the outlets in the parking lot at Walmart. I lived in Alberta for two years and they had the same outlets at the local church...it would get about 40F degrees below in Alberta.
Ryan, where to even begin man, another quality video. The videos you make are so amazing to watch, I feel at peace when I’m watching your videos. Not only the best vanlifer about but the best content creater on UA-cam by a country mile. Peace brother 🤘🚐
Really hoping we get to see a king crab or a catch and cook! My favourite food as well. I wonder what those east coast crabs taste like compared to ours in the pnw
Blue manners are my favourite crab in Australia as well as mud crabs 🦀 yummy..! Enjoy your meal. Looks delicious, you must try Australian crabs they are the best ever.🦀
Just a suggestion for the next time cooking crabs of any kind…. Use beer instead of water. When you said it was the fourth of July, I did a triple take, lol. I knew you uploaded on a delay for obvious reasons but I didn't realize how long a delay. 😂 Thanks for the vid!
I think he rarely reveals what actual day it is, just refers to Friday, Tuesday, etc. Probably a smart idea to help with being stealthy. Probably would only take 1 scary experience to turn me off from being doing "live" videos.
How in the world did you pull just one article of clothing out without pulling everything else out of the cabinet??😂😂 Enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing.

appreciate it DAY 1 homie
4th of July? I always thought we were watching videos from a few days ago not a whole month lol
The 4th? I had no idea the videos were so far behind. Great as always!
Lets all appreciate the consistency and qualities of these videos. Even little things like the drone footsge adds so much. Love it!
Thank you for the tutorial on how to eat crabs! I've been tossing half the meat.😢

I didn’t know your videos r like 3?weeks out still great videos!! Keep it coming!!
I didn't either lol... I was thinking the 4th of July was already passed... lol
The lack of people in AK is what makes it so great! It takes about a year to adjust. But then there's no going back... From Wrangell, AK!
I love that you showed American one town city and state at a time that you really tried to show all the beauty that some of us will never see
No matter where you go you might want to be somewhere else. Ryan taught me the future and how people will always take everything for granted.
Congratulations on the ending of this epic journey 🎊 🎉. Thank you so much for the tag along, great shots, and nice vibes!
its not over yet! Still have to finish the scariest part yet, the Dalton Highway

I should have added that the entire road was gravel then. We busted two tires as well as the windshield.
Dungeoness are the best!!! You can also eat them cold with the warm butter and it is amazing!!!
I have the store clean them and eat them with a lemon aioli.
I did a double take when Ryan said it was the fourth of july, I figured he was only like a week ahead from the videos, glad you had a good Fourth!
Should have asked them to clean the crab for you. Dungeness is best cold with an aioli dip. Fun watching you cook them east coast.
Wrong soy sauce and vinegar and salt and pepper

Fred Meyer is the best. I can't believe they have one all the way up there!
I’ve never seen someone pull all of meat out before they start eating. That’s different and displays some serious discipline. 🦀
Really hoping we get to see a king crab or a catch and cook! My favourite food as well. I wonder what those east coast crabs taste like compared to ours in the pnw
Unfortunately there's no King crab season this year because the population is incredibly low. That would be cool though!

Hey Ryan, maybe in one of your next trip you could make Canada from coast to coast :)

Fairbanks Walmart, here we come :) Happy Motoring young man..
Just a suggestion for the next time cooking crabs of any kind…. Use beer instead of water.
