I've been on this journey to watch every single one of your videos this week. I've seen a few here and there in the past. But a few days ago I went back and started at the beginning. I'm a disabled Army vet, so I live vicariously through UA-cam. I had a health incident happen about 2 and a half years ago, and I can't drive anywhere now. This lifestyle was always my dream. I had a build planned in my head. Trying to do the 9-5 long enough to save the money. And then that happened. So thank you for these vids. I'm going to be 100% caught up in the next couple days. I've been watching like 5 to 7 hours of vids a night. At least haha. But anyways. You ALWAYS lift your legs going over a train track. I've done it since I was a kid here on the west coast. I'm 37 now, and still do. Even though I can't drive, I will lift my legs up in the passenger seat. That was neat. Everyone always thinks I'm weird and my girlfriend will even let me know if I'm not paying attention that a track is coming up. That made me smile for real
Amazing! I have to confess... I stole a frame from your video when the sun is setting and placed it as wallpaper on my computer... guilty as charged and Ryan, again, a huge "Thank you" for letting us travel with you! Kudos!
I did the same after you mentioned it wanted to see if I could do it, enlarged the video to screen size then screen shot then cropped to size. Beautiful!
Thank you for the chill videos Ryan. I used to go camping alot but all my buddies are busy these days. Watching your vids give me the old feeling up pulling up to a spot, smelling the air, and feeling the sun on your skin. All the food you make looks good too. Keep up the good work!
This vid takes viewers to a great place. I come from Minnesota and van camped along this same path 20 years ago. So lets talk about the priceless experience one can have here. Ryan triggered those past memories enough to be inspired to travel again. I can smell the ocean already along with the awesome fixins!
Nice job shooting the sunset. Most people just point the camera at the setting sun, maybe moving a little to the left and right but basically just staring at the sun. They forget to turn around and catch the glow. You did that quite nicely here! Love your videos. Stay safe, have fun and walk in peace.
I agree with your comment about bikes on the outside of vans. I live in Alberta, Canada and go to Banff every 2 weeks. The number of people I hear who have their e-bikes stolen from the outside of their van is sad. Feel bad for the people.
One of the best videos! Incredible view, off grid, I liked the balance of the amount of cooking, scenery, and hanging out. You have the perfect personality for UA-cam. Gregarious, clear, lively. All the right stuff!
Ryan, you are truly a blessed man. The scenery from that road is incredible. Last time I was on Route ! was in 1986 and I loved it. Especially camping in the Sequoia National Forest, that was amazing. Looking forward to your new seasoning. Take care.
I think that's a universal feeling as most people I see end up van living with a cat or dog. Not the same as human interaction but helps bridge the gap since animals are such great companions.
Man those crunch wraps looked so good. And what a view. Living in LA I dont take advantage enough of the great views we have here in Cali. Good vid man.
I didn't notice till today that. Whenever I hit my rock bottom. I seek for Ryan's video. It feels calming to watch it whilst going to sleep after that. I've been struggling with my life and just watching this helps me to calm down my emotions. Not sure if it's a depression, anxiety or anything like it. But keep the video uploading and make sure to get some rest Ryan. Just wanted you to know that you're the best van camper life imo. Hope you get a 4wd setup eventually. Peace
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It was my first watch. As someone who just got out of the hospital for stress-related illnesses, it really taught me I worry too much. I should just enjoy my life.
I almost exclusively watch 2 types of videos on UA-cam with my wife, food challenges (mainly randy and katina) and Ryan, absolutely love watching you brother, very relaxing and refreshing.
Dear Ryan. Today is December 22nd 2023. I watched this video for the first time and I have to tell you. This place is absolutely beautiful. This video truly shows your enthusiasm and energy on a whole different level. I wish you did daily uploads. Your fan Timothy.
I've just recently bought a van and want to travel to southern Europe for the next winter (I live in Sweden) but I'm so scared of feeling lonely or unsafe. You make it seem so relaxing and chill. I need some of that calmness lol
I pulled off the 1 to check out the views at literally the exact spot you camped when I was on my road trip last year! That’s so cool what a coincidence. Such a beautiful drive
Ry, you should really keep your one-time-used oil especially if you cooked chicken in it. You can reuse it to cook your breakfast eggs and other stuff since you've only used the oil one time. The flavor will be amazing.
Great set up! Hubby has to fill our tanks on the boat and we can get hot water which uses a lot of our power, which is solar/ wind powered, or using the petrol genny, but much of the time, we have to take cold showers, and wash dishes in the cold water too.
I've just realized that upon watching this video his at the exact same spot for this week's video with his Japanese Mini Truck overlooking a cliff on the Californian Coast... Absolutely wild that UA-cam Recommended this video in the same week
Love your hat, I graduated high school at Yosemite high. I’m moved to the Central Coast after, Pismo Beach. That area with the elephant seals is the San Simeon area. Those suckers fight so much 😂 they get loud. My husband says we’re definitely trying that crunch wrap. Great video man. ✌🏼
What an amazing view!! Makes me want to become a nomad even more! That chicken parm wrap looked so delicious, I may have to give it a try! I don't know how you ate all 3, one would have me stuffed.
I spent about 18 years in the logging woods.. lived in a 12x14 canvas hot tent and only went home every couple months or when the block was done (depending on size) I would then be home for 4-5 days and then off again and i'll be honest be alone was quite calming for me and really enjoyed it. What made it hard was as you said, getting back into the rhythm of doing things alone. Great video.
If you have any jars with lids you already have to throw out they work great for grease and oil. There are some satellite connected GPS devices that allow a couple text messages a month (extras cost more) that can be used if you are somewhere with no service. My sister has one and she can drop pins along her route when hiking without service and also send a text like "I'm ok and not dead yet." It's worth the peace of mind. I think you can't set up 5 different contacts in the device as well. As well as emergency services. Might be worth it the further you go north to Alaska.
Come to Vancouver island Canada on your way through to Alaska! I can show you some really good free spots for camping and all the fresh seafood you can catch!
Pacific Coastline can be stunning especially the sunsets. I was in Oregon at Canon Beach. There is a rock formation called Haystack Rock. It was so white I thought it was snow only to find out it was years of bird guano stacked up...gross. I noticed you eat fried eggs. if you ever want to make great scrambled eggs add 1 tablespoon of milk (can be lactose free also). Whip the eggs in a bowl for 15-20 seconds to add a lot of air in the mix. When transferring the mix to the skillet continue to whip them as they pour into the skillet. Spray a little PAM into the skillet before you pour. Push the eggs with a spatula so they don't stick and burn. It will be the fluffiest scrambled eggs you will ever eat. Great video...just love the view of the ocean. Fred in Texas
We were there Wednesday! Saw the elephants seals on the coast and it was so windy and cold that ! Then we kept driving down and hit the closed road called the Ragged Point! We ate at the restaurant and it was pretty good food! We just have to turn around because we were going to Monterey and we lost 3 hours of driving time but that area of the coast is so beautiful! Good for hiking!
I sometimes just forget how beautiful life is, then I see videos like this and rethink everything. It is truly unique

Smart idea on washing your dishes in hot water where your staying, shower too. I love when situations work out like this for people.
I've been binge-watching Ryan for a few nights lol. Something euphoric about these videos.
Thank you so much for keeping the drama and stress out of your channel! It’s such a calm, interesting vibe!!!

This is by far the best channel on UA-cam.

I feel like Ryan should get a drone to capture that beautiful scenery and give a like if you think he should
I wouldn't want the drone to end up in the ocean.
@@ladyveevee2888That only happens if you don’t know what you’re doing or let it die and fall.
ryan this is why i love you bro, your real down to earth. gods gonna bless you man.🤙
For some reason I don't know why but I really look forward to your videos. Keep it up. Do what makes you happy.
i like the music at the end with the sunset It is so peaceful and kinda conforting
Wow that crunch chicken parm thing was the best thing Ive seen you make so far. Looked like a 10 out of 10! Homerun, me want
Man those crunch wraps looked so good. And what a view. Living in LA I dont take advantage enough of the great views we have here in Cali. Good vid man.

Great video Ryan. Always look forward for your videos. You are living the dream we wish we could! Keep on being you! 😊
Absolutely stunning where you were parked up
I am living vicariously through you and your videos. I'm so happy I stumbled upon you and this channel.
Love from Australia!
Ryan one day if you decide not to do vanlife anymore, you should be a chef. All the food you cook look so good.
And California coast is beautiful.
Totally agree with you on avoiding getting stuff stolen. "If they can't see it, they (probably) won't take it."

Honestly, why I love living in CA. Because I drive up the 1 and I get to enjoy those views anytime I want. ❤
Vanlife is good for exploring the unknown learning new things and saving money

Elephant Seal Rookery! I love that place. So peaceful watching them. I stop on every trip up the coast.
That campspot was spectacular.
Gratz on 200k Ryan! It’s like yesterday you’re at 66k.. 😊
I had to sign up for that seasoning blend notification. That stuff looks like it's going to be awesome.
Wow, those Crunch Wraps look awesome!!! Yes, you could not have wished for a better location/view. Thanks for sharing.
Tbh, I think this is the sweetest spot so far for the Alaskan road trip!
so sick watching you drive through my hometown of Pismo Beach and Avila Beach! love your channel bro
I applaud this guy just found him recently and I’ve watched like probably 10 videos in the last week
PULLOUT GAME STRONG!!!!!
The view on that pullout!!
OK Ryan, now I'm gonna have to try that recipe too. Looked delicious, with an amazing view. Well done!
such a large creator in the space... stay humble
That was a sick spot and that recipe looked FIRE!
I would love to get a van like this in the future

As a Californian, we're very fortunate of the amazing views and great weather 😎🌊⛱️ Although, it's very expensive & the horrible traffic 😉
Move to oregon, cheaper ,smaller and has even better views
Also as a Californian (San Diego) we're definitely blessed!
Yep and horrible leadership. A beautiful state though.
gotta luv California coastal weather though.. one minute / one spot you're hot, 😅 move a little and you're freezing! 😬
Thank God for youtube.
Absolutely love those seals!! Resident in UK and seeing California is great. Cheers❤
That Looks So Good, And The Fabulous View. You Need To Get Busy Writing A Van Life Cookbook.
