One of my favourite B&W preset so far was one that you showed several years ago on YT. I used it ever since. Now I just bought your new set. I have no doubt these will be just as awesome. Thanks for all the work and sharing with us.
I'm typically not a preset guy, but honestly, I've been waiting for a discount on your complete set (since I missed the initial launch promo discount). Just purchased. I'm just a hobbyist...a dad that documents my tribe. Your work is such an inspiration to me.
These are completely new (not an upgrade). Also, these ones come with the AI driven utilities. Essentially, it's an ever growing library rather than version updates.
Hi Victor. Thanks for purchasing. The profiles are essentially the base "look" and the presets apply adjustments to those looks. I've made the profiles available in case you want to create your own variants of presets from the base profiles. Have fun.
Lovely presets, but i have a question. The presets outcome are usually affected by the image out of the camera, casts ie green grass etc, how it was exposed in camera (over/normal or under) , and how you edited the image ie - white balance etc, before applying the preset. Have you got a "recipe" to follow, before one applies the preset? Or do you just apply the preset, and magically it looks like your images?
You are absolutely correct. None of my presets touch the WB, Exposure, Shadows or Highlights for this very reason. I always advise people to make exposure corrections first - then apply presets.
Some truly beautiful presets there Kevin. I'm not doing many weddings or portraits these days, but I can see these working equally well for landscapes etc. Love them!
I have a question: I tested the Imagen AI program with the SILVER FILM AI Talent profile by Kevin Mullins. Can I achieve the same result using the black and white presets?? I find them fantastic, especially the one through Imagen.
Yes, you can get the same edit - however, the power of Imagen is the AI processing it does server side. You'd still need to correct exposure, white balance etc before applying (any) preset.
I'm not really sure I understand this comment Den? Do you own the presets or are you on about what you see in the UA-cam video? If it's just in the video, it might be your screen calibration perhaps. If you have the presets, and something is wrong, contact me as you may have installed the profiles incorrectly.
Outstanding ! 🤩
Thank you. Very kind.
@@kevin_mullins "and yes , I bought all of them " :)

Thank you :-)
Even after all these years, you never cease to amaze!
Maybe ask my wife that lol 😊
Hi kevin what is the advantage of these profiles over the previous presets?

Are these profiles a revamped previous presets?

Just purchased! Question for ya, when would you use the profiles over the colour presents. Love all the edits thus far. thanks!!

Thanks, Barry - I hope you are well in your new part of the world 🙂
I have both your presets and love them.
I’m intrigued by how you got that magnifying glass to view the finer details of the image. 😃
Thanks! That's actually done in my screen recorder software (Camtasia).
I’ve just switched from lightroom to DxO photolab 7 but I must say those presets looks fantastic, will you make me regret the switch? 😅😅
😃

nobody any idea?

I have the previous presets and they’re beautiful. Don’t think twice worth every penny.
Thank you so much. I'm glad you like them 🙂
Yes, you really get you money's worth !!
Great presets... Are they available for Capture ONe?
Sadly not as Capture One does not support LUT files which I create specifically for my presets.
Pity!... OK what kind of lut file? CUBE? I use another software in my workflow wich can read apply CUBE luts.. @@kevin_mullins
Beautiful work.
It would be great if you could publish your presets for Capture One.
Sadly, Capture One doesn't support the use of LUT-based profiles. My presets are heavily dependent on custom profiles I have created.
Almost every film preset change blue colours, for old film style simulation it's interesting and funny, but makes pictures without real colours ))
