It is a pleco. But it is also a catfish. They share the same family tree. Like appisto's are cichlids, just a different type.

It is a plecostamus. Not cat fish. Hes the biggest I've ever seen. They feed on algae in the tank. His eye is on the side the things up top are like his radar.
