I tack mine on the first round and then go back to stitch down properly; it saves on getting caught up in clips and pins. I tack a load of them and finish off in batches 🙂
Oh goodness! Thank you very much. I have kinda figured these things out on my own, however it's so helpful to see this video and your tips. Especially stitching one side at a time. I hadn't thought of doing that before. Love your templates!! I have neck problems and then had a stroke 2 months ago. Your hexies have been a major part of my recovery. Thank you again!
Hi Laura, so sorry for the delay in replying, the fabric was from MODA, it was a digital print called "Winter lights" by Susan Rooney, I do have some available in a Fat 1/8th bundle on my website, but I have no meterage left :( (please see link below) www.daisyandgrace.co.uk/collections/new-in/products/new-in-fat-eigth-bundles Many thanks X
Hello Chris, I use a mixture of hand sewing needles it depends on how I'm feeling or what I grab first. At the moment I am using a mix of no.12 long sharps, size.9 embroidery and no.5 milliners straws, I hope that helps. Happy Sewing, Nicola X
Hi Karen, thanks for your comment, I do have a new video which I think is a little better for showing the stitching, please see link below. ua-cam.com/video/sTAQrCNO6AE/v-deo.html I hope that helps Karen X
Hi Paul, sorry for the delay in coming back to you, I hadn't seen your comment, the first couple of points I did were challenging but they do become much easier and neater with practise I promise. Please keep going they are "sew" worth it. Nicola X
An extreme close-up where you can actually see the needle & the thread would be more helpful. I can’t see either one here, because the camera is way too far away, and the thread (I think?) matches your fabric?

Is there a video with tips about actually sewing? This is my new go to quilting method and I love it and love your templates.

Looking forward to getting your hexagon templates ... camera is too far to benefit from this stitching tutorial, though. 😢
