Whisky.com reviews the Dalmore Sherry Cask Select 12 years. The Dalmore Sherry Cask Select was matured in very special sherry barrels: In three different cooperages in Andalusia, Spain, barrels were made especially for the Highland distillery. These special barrels were then saturated with a special sherry blend made from Oloroso and PX sherry. The Dalmore Malt was matured in these barrels for 18-24 months and thus experienced the double sherry influence. The intense and elegant sherry aroma is reinforced by the 43% filling.

Love the Cigar Malt, and I really want to try this.
It’s just maddening how Dalmore goes for the gimmicky e150 for marketing though. I’m like “Dude, just let the flavor and quality of your whisky sell itself!” I mean seriously, Springbank’s is a straw color and it’s flying off the shelves faster than it can be restocked.

Don't waste your money it's over-priced, colour-added and chill-filtered. Get Glendronach 12 instead
Bought it and love it! The Glendronach 12 is exceptional and in a different league. Funny - the 12 is almost as fun as the 21!

@@onYTsince2008 Talisker 10 and Lagavulin 16 also add coloring and chill filter too and they're considered some of the best Scotchs.

Mid sixties is up there in price for a 12 year old scotch so it will be interesting to see how it compares to the Macallan 12 sherry cask.
I just finished off a Macallan 12 sherry cask. Very enjoyable whisky. I might venture to the ABC to give the Dalmore a try.

In UK 69£ for 12yo , with carmel aded and chill filtered whisky...it doesn't sound encouraging at all...
Would you people say this 12yr Select is better than the regular 15yr?
I don't think their's not one of Dalmore I don't like. Dalmore just offer so much in every bottle they create. I've never been disappointed. Enjoy watching you guys. Thanks for the video.

Love Dalmore, but descriptions by hosts aren’t very convincing. Seems father and son at odds with opinion. Not as much endorsement fr the elder.

Glendronach is one of my favorite Scotchs, but it is also chill filtered now too.
