This is my favourite UA-cam video and for a reason. Every time I open a bottle of bourbon, scotch or even tequila, rum or calvados, I put this on to remind me to enjoy every single minute of the dram I'm drinking. It's a special moment also, when some of the bottles have been in my cabinet for years. Gives more for the moment.
I feel like if Richard spent a day in a liquor store describing Whiskey's to people, the store would probably sell out of everything. I'm definitely going to try The Dalmore now!
Just had The Dalmore 15... & my goodness! Probably...yea... The best smoothest scotch I've ever had. Man... that nose is insane! Orange peel, chocolate blend, ... then just buttery soft on the palate, dried fruit notes galore, then the best part, that sweet & spice finish, with the pineapple (it comes fast & you can miss it, if not paying attention) that goes into a long lasting chocolate finish, that just lingers around for a good 2 minutes saying "Hello...How are you, I'm just passing through, enjoy your night" 😎😎👍🏾👍🏾🥃
Ive just ordrered my very first bottle Of Dalmore and its the 15, I am really quite excited, to try it, every person who has tried seems to absoloutley love it, cant wait.
I just recently bought a bottle of 15. It truly is the best whiskey i have ever tasted. Complex and sublime, a single sip takes you through a journey of flavor so akin to modern gastronomy.
+sans3go im 16 and bought one myself, I got it for 63.50euros. I haven't opened it yet as I want to appreciate it while its still closed! anyway, was wondering whether 63.50 is a good price or not, I thought it was pretty decent myself!!!!
I've had the Dalmore 18 and it was a true cascade of flavours with every sip. Easily the most satisfying whiskey I've drank so far. Just ordered a bottle of the King Alexander for getting a Distinction in my Masters Degree, I can't wait for it to arrive! Folks, if you have some spare money knocking around and you fancy a good whiskey, save up for a Dalmore. They're worth every penny in my opinion.
The Dalmore 25 is the most expensive scotch I've ever tried so, to be honest, I have nothing with which to compare it to except less expensive scotches. Frankly, there's NO comparison. The Dalmore 25 is transcendent! It's definitely in a whole different league. Its smoothness and complex flavor profile are like no other. The aroma, the palate, and the finishing notes listed on the box are completely accurate! The flavors of the toffee and the figs burst onto your palate right from the start. Then, caramel, vanilla, and maple syrup make their presence known. On the finish, say hello to dark chocolate, gingerbread, and the delicate subtlety of the cask wood, which only adds to an incredible flavorful experience you weren't expecting, but now don't want it to end. As if things couldn't get any better, the scotch has a gentle sweetness that only enhances each and every flavor the sumptuous nectar has to offer! I'm not kidding, this is NO exaggeration! If you're a discerning scotch drinker (in other words, if you're a scotch snob) like I am, this is one scotch you don't want to miss!
The art of well made commercials. This is still my favourite UA-cam video, because I love the music and the soothing way he promotes Dalmore. I admit, I prefer more on Speyside and Islay, but Highland is alright. Wouldn't mind having a bottle of 18yo Dalmore some day.
Id honestly buy his audiobook if he had one and probably watcha ted talk on whisky as well. Clearly he not only knows his whisky but loves what he does.
The Dalmore is style over substance. Maturing whisky in up to 6 different casks but still only bottling at 40%, chill-filtered and with E150a. A good gift for someone who is just starting with scotches and wants the illusion of a premium whisky and is prepared to pay that premium price for it.
Save your time and money, get a Glendronach 12 instead. Dalmore 12 is overpriced, heavily colour-added, AND chill-filtered, and bottled at a lousy 40%. The one I suggested is way more bang for your buck!!!
@@onYTsince2008 Colouring doesn't affect flavor, neither does chill filtration, and ABV is partly a matter of taste, and partly depends on what works best for that whisky. It's very easy to hide a bad whisky behind a high ABV so it has more "flavor" while not being able to match the likes of dalmore (for example) if they were both bottled at 40% or whatever the case may be. I am sick and tired of seeing your snobs everywhere, telling people that they have to follow your taste and not their own. Keep drinking your whisky, you're missing out on many great things in life with that attitude.
Bought a bottle of 12 yr a few months back. It was my first higher end purchase of alcohol and I was not disappointed. It was delicious! Still developing my pallet as I have started to embrace whiskey as a hobby over the last year. Dalmore was my first dive into the single malt world and can’t wait to get the 15 next
My favorite whisky brand! I still have yet to try the King Alexander III...I'm saving my $$$....Thank you for providing us all with remarkable products!
Precision Marksmanship HQ It’s worth it so don’t wait. Life is meant to be lived and Richard Patterson’s whiskies are meant to be enjoyed. Set your sights on a bottle! Cheers.
yeah everytime i swallow i say to myself "hello there" in my head lol i say it when im with my friends too it gets a laugh from time to time depending on who im with
He and his father are and were just good and also highly fortunate businessmen. Hard working sure, but it's easy to be hard working when you're earning a house every year.
Mr. Paterson, i hope that you will bring out some uncolored, unchillfiltered and age stated releases in the coming years. I've heard your whisky has a lovely taste profile, but the lack of these factors has prevented me from buying, and will likely prevent me from doing so for a long time.
am i the only one who doesn't feel major difference between 12 years vs 18 years? i dont get apple, cinnamon or anything different on any of these whiskeys 🤣🤣
Who wants to drink whiskey because of this guy?

I could listen to this guy describe anything
Me too!
The guy who describes Highland Park 12 is great wish he did more reviews/descriptions
His voice, truly remarkable!
I grew up in a rural, non diverse area. His accent, along with his enthusiasm could sell me ocean front property in Arizona!
He could be talking about a pair of socks and still have your attention!

Soo true
@Jimmy .L how much is it?
Give it a try.12 year old, Luceo and Dominium are great as well
What did you think of the Dalmore?
He coud sell me a lemon of a used car and I would be happy about it.
He is one of the very few people who actually wants to go to work in the morning.
Pretty sure he gets a lifetime supply of Dalmore whiskey
"Hi I'm Richard Paterson." Yes you are sir, yes you are! Legend
He is not only a master distiller, but an expert salesman as well. Now I want to have some Dalmore
Richard Paterson, you are an ambassador of whisky!
Thank you very much, your passion is contagious.

Expensive Dalmores truly are but their cheaper scotches are bland imitations. I would much rather buy Glenfiddich 12 than Dalmore 12.
@@otto_jk I'll have to try the Dalmore 12 again then!
What about your first anniversary as a bot?

This guy going crazy over 40% e150 whisky 😂
I really learned a lot from this gentleman. Thank you for the knowledge.

next episode he'll tell you about e150.....oh wait..
Reading these comments im glad to see there are many other fans of this man lol and his iconic personality, what a man!
I'm a sherry drinker myself, but I've just ordered a Dalmore Twelve. Looking forward to it.
Today I've tried my first Dalmore.... The Dalmore port wood. OMG, what a fantastic experience.... Now I'm a big fan 🥃
He is magnificently charismatic.
Going to get me a Dalmore first thing tomorrow!

I really enjoy the the dalmore cigar malt, very nice pairing with a fine cigars.
Do you suppose it would go well with a mentholated cigarette?
I went to the fucking store and bought a bottle because of this guy

I enjoyed the piano music equally as much
I want a Dalmore collection so bad😭

Hello
How are you?
It’s nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you too.
Dalmore 15! Truly superb...
Richard is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about whisky... He is probably world's no1 whisky expert.

Still developing my pallet as I have started to embrace whiskey as a hobby over the last year. Dalmore was my first dive into the single malt world and can’t wait to get the 15 next
It's a hobby you'll love for life. Tried over 200 single malts over the last 25 years and always something new to explore
Damn! It’s amazing to think there is such variety out there for this. Can’t wait to expand my pallet and explore the options!
you had me at the moustache
My wife got me The king Alexander iii by dalmore for v-day. It is truly special
I want to drink anything by just listening this guy
this guy could sell me vinegar for wine and i would still buy it
Ooooohh Richard.... take me now!!!!
Agreed for 12 years in white oak and finished with a touch of Carmel coloring.

Sir Paterson is a damned genius!
Richard listed the entire food pyramid in the 25 year old. You can have this for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner!!
The only one I can afford is the 12 year, but its definitely my favorite scotch
Please upload video on preparation of oak casks used in maturation of scotch, and whiskey.

Just wanna drink it by looking at the presentation

1:52 we got E150a..yey
i just bought the 12 year today and love it!
I got to say, last year at a whisky festival, I finished my night off with the Cigar Malt. Loved it.
Thraith you have it with a cigar?
No, just the whisky.
This guy could sell rain to the rain Gods.
I love dalmore
Are the older expressions ruined by chill filtration, caramel coloring, and low abv like most dalmores?
Yes
We loved your Indian 🇮🇳 Signature Whiskey 🥃🙏🙏 and we thanks for you. 😮
India 🇮🇳 Highest consumption of Whiskey 🥃🙏 on Earth 🌎 planet 🌍
love this guy ...a true scotsman !
Luke Morley his great grandfather founded the Bank of England. True story.

I've never tried Dalmore however as if I tasted it due to this promotion...!
I wonder if he has ever thought of doing voice overs for audio books.
I expected at least 5 tosses of whiskey over his shoulder in this video. Now i am sad.
Mr. PATERSON I have try your cigar malt, in a pub in my country, Italy. I Hope ti know you in Italy, if you come here One day! :)
Who else wants to smoke a cigar and drink some Dalmore?
I recently opened my first bottle of King Alexander III, it really is a liquid treasure!

Very well
Thank you

that's wonderful wonderful whiskey and great master
keep going....
I hope you back to your official channel
You got to hand to dalmore R.P. as a spokesman & salesman .he sold me on 12 & 15 year old. Both are great tasting
Mr. Paterson, i hope that you will bring out some uncolored, unchillfiltered and age stated releases in the coming years.
I've heard your whisky has a lovely taste profile, but the lack of these factors has prevented me from buying, and will likely prevent me from doing so for a long time.
No Port Wood?
Programa fantástico!!
Ware is the Dalmore whiskey made? I wish I can get some of the wood from the barrels they use . Im a woodturner and it would make a great wooden pen
Great. And why 25 years old whiskey costs 3 times more expensive than 25 years old cognac ?
I'll be behind this guy every time he cleans the cup pouring that shit to the floor, sorry for calling that water of life, shit
No need to be sorry, you were right the first time!
Tried the Dalmore 12. It was good non peaty scotch.
First I have saw where he didn't through any away 😂
The cigar malt, paired with a Monte Cristo White, and drank in the style Richard recommends is pretentious but still excellent!
am i the only one who doesn't feel major difference between 12 years vs 18 years? i dont get apple, cinnamon or anything different on any of these whiskeys 🤣🤣
And when Richard finishes that bottle of Dalmore ... he proceeds to use the empty bottle as a sex toy .... polish those antlers baby!
