The song title is "Necromansy" originally because (that's how I read it) they had no "c" left but an "s" in spare for the printing. I love the raw style all over that polished dumb stuff that everyone tries to do nowadays. Regarding the satanic panic: yes that's funny after all. Everyone wanted to find something "satanic" in rock music and then suddenly there were bands that said "yes of course, it's us" 😂

I wonder what pre-Christian Dave Mustaine must have thought of a band like Bathory haha.
Also, a classic track to hear from them is "Woman of Dark Desires". It's off their masterpiece album Under the Sign of the Black Mark. That album and Blood Fire Death are amazing.

Finally reacting to black metal again. Do "Sabbat - Black Fire (Black Up Your Soul version)" next for more first wave black metal awesomeness.

Great idea..and include "Possessed" and early "Sodom" to complete that old unholy league...
Regarding the nowadays globally misused term "Power Metal": Please do Venoms "Long Haired Punks", pause exactly at 01:45, and start thinking/asking/questioning@@tntsmetalmeltdown4148

My favorite on this album is "Raise the Dead" do that next. Do the "Rites of Darkness/Reap of Evil" after that, its from the 2nd album and its a must! Finally, got to do Bathory fan favorite "Call from the Grave" from the 3rd album. You already checked out song on the 4th album. First 4 albums Bathory classic real black metal. React to all songs on those albums, they are all worth listening really.

My favorite early Bathory tracks are Die In Fire, Burnin' Leather & The Return Of Darkness & Evil.
Twilight Of The Gods & Nordland I are my favorite Bathory albums, with Blood Fire Death a close 3rd.

Bathory recorded in Quorthon’s garage. Their only album made in a studio was their second album and it cemented that’s the sound they wanted

It was his friend's garage, they used that for the first 4 or 5 albums minus The Return, after that Bathory was a 1 man show and Quorthon recorded in various home studios, garages and demo studios.

Unless you already have, you should listen to the band, Venom. Bathory actually got their name from a Venom song. It is even said that Venom may of influenced the start of the black metal genre.

Good pick for a song from them; one of my favourites, because of this like, "amoral riff".
You listen to more extreme music as you move on; nobody at first completely understands it-I couldn't even listen to Slayer at first because they were "just banging or yelling": Of course, I was never been more mistaken.
Try Thou Art Lord -songs from albums Esosforos (particularly Warhammer or Call to Chaos) and album _Orgia_ _Daemonicum_ ... I know seems like spam, but I like to think I think justly, that I know my stuff as it were. This is quintessential Black Metal I suppose in the more Greek style, which was occurring simultaneously in the late 80's and early 90's with the scene in Scandinavia. 🤘🎶⚡️

Qourthon was extremely talented in creating atmosphere in his music while sorta sticking to his trash/first wave black metal roots. You should check out their first 3 albums and then compare them to the later ones and also how it influenced the Scandinavian infamous 2nd wave black metal.

Would you say that you've grown to like that Emperor song? I've considered requesting some of their other stuff that had less shitty production haha.
Also, this is from Bathory's debut. IMO it pretty much represents the birth of black metal. Though it's still very rooted in thrash like all of that first wave.

Because qourthon transitioned to Viking pagan stuff after their 3rd album but I am a sucker for their first wave black metal stuff. RIP qourthon, left too soon.

He ripped it off, then made up the tribute BS when he was called out. He's a funny guy though, I mean, we laugh at him more than we laugh with him, but still.
