isn't even worth a mod guide, it's just, awful ergonomics halt it from being good.
Nerf: *markets a blaster dart capacity at 5 knowing full well that it actually holds 8 so they don't have to give you more ammo*
How else are they gonna sell you overpriced reload packs of their overpriced DRM darts for their overpriced DRM blasters?
One would think that advertising it at 8shots would be more beneficial then skimping on the Darts. It's probably a spring where issue, or something came up in there testing that we don't know that became an issue.
I feel like this is also why the advertised and included capacity of the prometheus is also off (By 75 rounds instead of three tho)

Even though Ultra gets a bad reputation, no blaster has been worse than the deploy
I personally like Ultra as a series, other than the darts being overpriced
@@thekinection424 The Deploy is hampered by design flaws but it didn't require a proprietary ammo type only it can use or lie about every pretty much everything. Ultra struggles to reach a _third_ of it's claimed range and is less accurate than elite darts, the screamers are even worse.

Yes they have
The Deploy isn't painful to use, can be reloaded faster, can have a higher capacity and isn't limited to $0.50 darts. Sure, performance sucks but the Deploy beats the Ultra 3 in every other category.
The Deploy wasnt that bad imo.
Even if you have an unusable Deploy, it can be stripped for usable parts. I doubt that this thing can.

There isn't even a trigger safety on this. Considering it's loaded and primed as soon as you're put even one dart in, I find that surprising.

That's like every shotgun style gun they've made, there's only like 2 that are actually shotguns, using that shell system that you can't even buy seperate from the gun.

I feel like this could've been a really great blaster, if they had just flipped the design upside down, turned it into a top prime, and moved the trigger to the front. Basically it'd be an Ultra Helios, but with some very high FPS.

You are THE PENULTIMATE CONTENT CREATOR for nerf (in terms of raw subs). And you are so hard on them for how blandly below average they're being. It's so great
and the versions of the ultra blasters with the extra barrel length have more power than the short barreled versions which are designed for countries with stricter toy laws.
At the start of this you explain how nerf slowly just started making cash grab blasters and blaster lines, and how they do anything for money now.
Oh yeah! I forgot to say they even made A NEW AMMA THAT IS HARD TO COPY SO OFF BRAND DART MAKERS CANT REMAKE IT!

Its funny because Hasbro would be making 3x or even 4x the profits if they actually made a quality series, but instead they are digging Nerf's grave while competitors are on the rise.
To me, the Ultra line is like how apple is lately. I feel like the Ultra is really just for those kinds of people who just want the price tag and the fancy stuff.
Also the way they designed the trigger guard and pump handle reminds me of the Mag 7 shotgun. It had a similar problem as well.
Im PRAYING that hyper is at least half decent. Hasbro really needs a win right now.

Feel no need to modify this AS the shell itself makes it basically unusable.
Tip: maybe attatch some sort of soft foam on the magwell and on the one end of the pump grip? This vlaster's ergonomics do not seem very ultra to me at all
The problem with this idea is the lack of space. Adding cushion would definitely solve the issue, if it were that easy. As Drac stated, there is zero space which is causing the pinching. You can't add cushion when there isn't enough space.

I think the ultra line is marketed for kids, the white color will stand out more than the blue or orange and kids doesn't care about performance or accuracy, they just care about how it looks (and to be honest ultra blasters design is really cool). So hasbro is just making a blaster as cool as possible, making it expensive, painted white and add some gold to make it more appealing to kids, and just milk the money out of the children parents
That's some funky B-Rolling. I'm genuinely impressed with 100+fps. I personally love the added finger guillotine feature. That takes effort and planning.

Unless you are planning on decreasing the size (or remove) the internal magazine and make it fire regular elite style darts, Don't waste your time modifying this blaster. But that is just my opinion :-)

Wow this thing works more against the user than the person at the other end of it.
Only reasons I can think of for the addee barrel length;
1. It doesn't have a seal, but it might be enough to bump the darts back straight, instead of leaving the barrel practically sideways.
2. Someone told them the orange plate wasn't enough for safety standards, gotta have more of a visible barrel.
The only reason I would buy that *thing* is to cosplay Director Alfonso Mackenzie of Agents of Shield using his Shotgun Axe.
So nerf ultra is a scam just like the “use only official nerf darts” which are crap and expensive and off brand is better and cheaper
I’ve been watching since the OG rampage mod guide and this is the amongst the most savage I’ve seen Drac on a blaster.

Drac don't get me wrong I enjoy your content and I appreciate that you are an extremely knowledgeable and experienced figure within the community, but I feel maybe you can become borderline arrogant. I do think other content creators have said exactly the same thing that you claimed you alone are saying as a creator. For example out of darts has heavily criticized them, if your slightly older I would give the ultra roast a watch (extremely funny), and Beret has continually satires the entire line. All I'm saying is maybe don't boldly claim that you are the only content creator willing to critique the line for its money grabbing nature, as I believe the entire hobby has already come to that consensus including other content creators. But otherwise a really great video which I really enjoyed :)

If you want an 8 round internal magazine-fed blaster the Rival Takedown is better in every respect except it can't fire screamers, and it only has one sling point.
The screamers didn't come with the off-the-shelf version by the way, you have to buy those separately, but it does include 8 regular Ultra darts.
I don't know what Nerf are doing with this series, the first blaster produced in any new line should be an under-primed removable-magazine springer with a stock, but we still don't have that option in the Ultra lineup. Second option should be over-primed removable-magazine springer pistol as a backup.
Like the Nexus Pro and Aeon Pro.

This thing was not designed for human hands, which surprises me. Because i thought they canceled the alien menace line in 2017

Drac, you're saying you're the only tuber who can speak the truth on Ultra, but I've only seen one NOT talk about the ridiculous amounts of flaws.
I think i have an idea for a side saddle speed loader. It won't fix the inherent flaws of Ultra Darts, but a speed loader is gonna be entirely dependent on how you actually have to load the blaster . . . I'll have to pick one up to test.
The extra muzzle on the 3 and 5 is there so you can't catch your finger in the internal mag when you close it.
Everyone laughs at Ultra… until one of them pops the lens out of your glasses.
Would love to see a modify guide where the U3 is used to split logs like the axe is wants to be.

Here’s a mod idea. Add a handle sticking out of the pump and chop of the sling attachment that socks out of the integrated clip
This needs a horizontal handle on the pump grip to make it easier to prime, less fingers jammed
1. buy the gun
2. convert to Stefan's
3. put in centurion

mod guide tip - stick a blade under the internal magazine and throw it like a tomahawk maybe?
I'd say either 3d print a different pump grip and hack off the sling attachment at the bottom of the mag or glue on a vertical grip on the current grip and for sure get rid of the trigger guard

While not providing enough darts for our non-Ultra blasters, Hasbro could put all that extra Nerf Foam on the OUTSIDE of this blaster to protect finger smashings.
I'd honestly prefer a bolt slide to the hand-destroying pump grip, which is saying something because I love pump grips. As far as a mod guide, I'd love to see a cosmetic change to fix the grip, but I don't know if that's easily possible. Anyway, I'd watch regardless.
Mod Guide:
Take Ultra 3 in hand.
Battle axe Ultra 3 into a dumpster.
Buy a Nexus Pro.
Play with the ultimate blaster.
Mod idea: change the standard pump grip to a ambidextrous bolt, like the Helios (I think, you know what I’m talking about) so you won’t crush any fingers!
You could do a shell modification
I think you should mod it. Glue a foam axe to the front and take out all the internals to make it lighter to swing.
Hope your fingers feel better. That legitimately looked painful. The gearing probably made that pull much easier than expected and that much stronger of a hit.
I want a good Elite or Zombie Strike (Maybe even MEGA) line lever-action revolver or magazine-fed lever-action, either in pistol form-factor or long-arm form-factor.
Heck, a lever-action double-barrel revolver style pistol with 8 or 10 round "Side-By-Side" cylinder setup would be absolutely boss, especially with a two-stage trigger.
A vertical grip sure seems to make a lot more sense for that cocking mechanism.
Maybe decent internals to mod at least?
Upgrade ideas, 1st short dart adapter like the Krono Mag up front ,will look odd with a barrel. 2nd ultra dart is stiff enough to double stack, so a 3d printed double stacking internal magazine to replace the one that's stock... Easier said than done but I've seen more complicated things happen than that. 3rd. replace the pump grip with a Picatinny adapter with a 45 degree angle out to the pump hand so Drac can keep his finger nails. Also the extra bit Drac don't like on the front barrel Im Assuming is to follow regulations to have toy guns with an orange
number 1 mod idea: put a darn thick foam to in the trigger guard and the back of internal mag to protect your precious finger
Apparently the extra muzzle stablizes the darts better than without, Austrailia got the Ultra 3 without the muzzle and its garbage.
The ultra line is like when you make a tea and pour piss n coke in it... and eat it with oreos made out of crushed snail shells and cottage cheese dripped with camel's milk.
I really hope that Hasbro will release a blaster similar to the Ultra Two that uses Elite darts
Do an ergo mod. Add some dart holders and a finger guard. Maybe a pump handle. Make the best ultra ever!
I think it would be awesome if someone could design a blaster similar to this but the magwell should be like the alpha trooper right in front of the trigger well and pump action could function on a shorter gear with a better pump grip
It might be interesting to see another blaster made honest, but at the very least, you gotta bite it back.
