Screw the new ammo type ( i forgot the name ), replace the cylinder with one that holds elite darts and replace the flywheels with ones big enough to push elite darts, and boom really gud pistol.

I've never shot a blaster with this much of a spread. We fired 6 darts at a 6 foot tall fence on our video, and ONE dart hit. One went over the fence, 4 fell short, and 1 hit. I think the problem is the flywheels are spinning so incredibly slow. I think with higher RPM, the consistency could improve, but once again, the ammo itself is probably the culprit here. It's a real shame, because this is one of the coolest and most unique blasters Hasbro has made in years.

When you think about it, this is what the mccree pistol should have been. It’s still not as good, but nothing like 3D printing cages and cylinders can’t fix.

Okay....oh, I've got a couple Barricades, they're easy to load. And plus they hold more darts. Unless HvZ is gonna start over-valueing the tags of these Ultra Darts.? I don't know. I guess I like the lines of these blasters. But, then I at least custom paint everything.
The design reminds me of the gun used in Trigun for the main character.
I'm telling you guys, after the Hammershot, this, and seeing where the batteries go in this thing, someone up at Hasbro is a Trigun fan.

I've already seen at least one 30min tutorial on how to LiPo this thing to get it going better with FPS in the average 120 to low 130 range...darts still fly random as hell though..even more random than standard Elite darts and that hop up in FPS doesn't help that at all.
I like how Drac always suggests it would be easy for Hasbro to just paint the otherside of the blaster.
At this point, it's clearly the actual machines they use to produce the blasters that paint them on one side. To paint them on both sides one of two things need to happen:
Run all blasters through the paint process TWICE and only after the first paint cycle was dry on the blaster. This is an unreasonable fix because blasters would literally take twice as long to produce. Thus, raising the pricing of the blasters substantially.
OR they can upgrade their entire manufacturing fleet to paint on both sides. Again, an extremely impractical solution that would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to update a simply painting process.
Tl;Dr: It wouldn't help anyone to paint both sides of the blaster. It would simply raise the cost of production to an unreasonable point that would help absolutely no one. Especially since most enthusiasts paint their blasters anyway. It was cute and somewhat clever the first few times you complained about this, but its beginning to sound like whining at this point. Just stop. Especially when Hasbro might actually listen to you and pull budgeting from R&D so that Drac can have two sides of his blaster painted that he's going to sand and hydro-dip anyway.

As of this comment, I just picked this thing up for £15, with a free pack of 20 darts from Smyths. The darts are so crap that they almost couldn't give them away, but overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

I hadn't looked at the flywheels, mine are massively out of line with the chambers. I'm not sure the blaster would be accurate if they were properly aligned, but goodness, I'd feel better about this blaster if they had bothered to build it properly.
I don't find the rev trigger at all comfortable, I generally don't buy or use battery blasters but this is the worst rev trigger I have ever encountered.
The blaster is very front heavy, all the weight in front of the hand and only two fingers free to grip with, the index and middle fingers being occupied with trigger duties. OK if you use the second hand to steady it, but not comfortable for long with one hand use.
The battery door being plain orange is, well, bad. It should at least match the black plate on the other side.
Just enough ammo to load it once and hope you don't lose any. C'mon Nerf, be less stingy.
I like the rear loading idea, but I'm 50/50 on whether there's just too much wrong with this to make it fun and return it.

After playing it for a wile i took 4 3.7 ultrafire aa and 2 dummy's and boom shoots verry hard and i dint do any mod to it

I'm so mad this is an ultra. It's got everything I ever wanted in a sidearm, but then they made it worthless with the dart type. As soon as there's a kit to convert it to some form of ammo that's worth using, I'll grab one.

Imagine a 3d printed 8-12 standard dart cylinder in one of these things, now that would be fun
I just picked one up today. I find it really nicely weighted given that I'm a 6'4", 32 year old big kid XD Young kids will likely find it heavy, though. In terms of accuracy, it's not the best, but it's fun to shoot if you're into just plinking at targets in the garden. Overall, it's definitely one of my favourite revolvers. There's no topping the Strongarm for me, though. That said, I was pretty impressed with the Hammerstorm from the Alphastrike line. It's a little grindy and lightly powered, but it's a decent revolver if you like hammer action blasters and need one your younger kids can handle and join in the game.

Ultra is honestly the worst Nerf series. It has no business existing.
I feel like if nerf launched the ultra series again, but the guns used elite darts, then they would sell pretty well because in my opinion most of the designs of the blasters are pretty cool and new. especially the design of this breech-loading revolver system.
When does the new Last Word mod come out? Maybe the new destiny 2 skin for it?

Drac, just a question. How does brassing/bronzing improve performance in nerf blasters? I see modding vids where they brass up the barrel and always wonder how it helps performance.

I picked one up yesterday with batteries still intact at a Savers thrift store. After seeing this review, I hate that I have to use ultra darts, and 120ft is a flat lie, but glad I only paid 5 bucks for the thing.
