I really think it's their answer to people calling the Spectrum the Stryfe killer. Now I wanna mod and paint up one of each similarly.
The spectrum is in fact the stryfe killer and it took very little effort from adventure force to do it

And yes the Spectrum is still this new stryfe killer as well because Hasbro won't go with 6 AA's lol...Spectrum has better darts and better form factor imo anyway!
We are 2 for 2 this year for good blasters from Hasbro. First the Rival Pilot and the unbelievable modding potential in that, now the Stormcharge and it just being a plain good Elite 2.0 blaster. Hopefully they can pick up some more momentum this year!

Same stock came with the Battlecamo Stryfe. I sawed the arms off and kept the attachment point square to use as a cap. I think it looks better than it does bare.
I think the stock also came with the Recon MKII and Battle Camo Battlescout

I think the stock is a recolored version of the one from the Modulus Recon MKII and the barrel is a recolor of a barrel from one of those Modulus expansion kits
I think you are 100% correct :) The barrel is from the Stealth Ops kit that also came with the flip grip and reflex sight.
Seems like the mod-guide for this would be good, it takes the same flywheel cage as some other recent blaster so a 3D printed version is available, the trigger could fettled to be smoother, and maybe a full-auto mod done so that it lives up to the Rapid-pistol styling...
Aren't all elite 2.0 blasters screwless and can't be disassembled without breaking?
@@epicgamernik76 No- the first release were, but then Hasbro decided to go back to shells with screws and just a few small solvent welds. This blaster only has clips holding on some grip panels, then screws- no solvent welds according to a few people whom have already stripped it down to investigate its internals.
Love the upper deck fire ;-) Also, this look like a solid blaster. I assume the flywheel cage is different than a stryfe, but I'd love to put a NYX cage in it...
Reminded me of a boltor pistol from warhammer when you took the stock and muzzle off
That modulus suppressor never had the retention peg. It was more of a friction fit. Loose tolerances maybe?
i have that barrel attachment too! it's actually not just a friction fit, it has a weird little nub protruding from the left side of the lug, which can definitely be worn away to be no nub at all. I think their desire to remove all the tiny springs from the manufacturing process outside of trigger catches for the modulus line was a bad idea for money.
Really excited for the mod guide on this thing! Seems solid enough to be our new Stryfe for a while, and I think it's got a nice silhouette honestly.
It seems almost purposeful that Hasbro slightly missed the mark on this sort of blaster - It seems pretty good, but it so easily could've been better.
Probably to incentivise us to get the half dart version later
Think about what it is, who it is really aimed at, and the price they charge for it. These are toys, aimed at a predominantly younger audience and to an extent, their families. As such they need to balance price, quality and performance with the people that want them and the people who are buying them... parents buying "toys" for their kids, or kids saving up pocket money etc. They all perform similarly because that way none of the kids gets a huge advantage, and they can buy the rifle, pistol or SMG designs they like the look of, and not feel disappointed.
People are definitely gonna turn these into Bolters.

all this talk about mod videos makes me realize i've been watching drac's videos on and off since i was in high school (im out of college now 😵). i remember those days when drac didn't even show his face on camera and wore those recording goggles lmao. keep on keeping on drac

Liked seeing the excitement for a regular ol' Nerf blaster at the start. :) Built in pin hole sights that you can't get your eye down to kinda drive me a little bananas. I will certainly get one haha.

Best video in a while! The asymmetry of the stryfe is the reason I chose the smg-e instead. Now that I might be looking at modding I regret that choice. Might pick this up and go superstock :)

It doesn't take newer 18 round stick mags, the bump stops it from locking in
Surprised he didn't report this, but it's not guna be a probablem for his audience anyway.
10 round Banana mag has similar issue will work if you push it up a little harder
Really hoping that mod support comes out for this thing fast, I never did get around to buying a Stryfe back in the day so I'm itching to get in on the compact SA action with a shell design that I prefer dramatically to the Stryfe's (can confirm the grip is fantastic, I was in Walmart the other day and they were fresh on the shelves!)
Going to pick this up and give one of my kids my strife. This looks very promising.
Sight works pretty well with a longer stock hard to get low enough if your larger with included
I see you also have problems with the barrel, except that mine is hard to get attached onto barrel lugs, meaning the manufacturing wasn’t consistent.But overall, I’d say it’s a great blaster.
The OG stryfe came with a 6 dart clip, this one has a 10 dart clip...
They have made so many different variants of tht stock but I'm fine with that because I LOVE all the different versions of the stock so much

it's pretty cool. My favorite stryfe reshell is still the doomlands desolator. If this nerf league picks up, I'm wondering if they will start a line of blasters that are more competitive.

This looks like it was meant to have a proper stock and barrel extension, shame it just got reused modulus ones, hope people will print some that match better

When compared to the strife, the geometry on the ugly side makes it thicker and also less comfortable, I envision. I don't like the rapidstrike carry handle, the sight seems even narrower and harder to use than the rapid-fire one and any official optic you put on the blaster will sit really high. Might be a good candidate for a dremmel.
I do like how they kept the batteries close to the grip, that really helps with the balancing and ability to move the blaster around, also allows for easier one handed shooting.

Uh, is this the first nerf blaster in ? to not have a true orange muzzle? - Very happy with mine, I plan on making new triggers with real springs and maybe a few other mods and feel fine with myself never having a strife in the past.
They should flip the mold and reprint stryfe. Battery and motors on the left would sell so hard cause people would salivate at that small difference.

I literly dreamed about this blaster the night before it 's pictures were leaked.
Nerf pumping the gas a mile an hour faster, now let's get this thing moving! Elite 2.0 should have been a 100+fps evolution of the original elite line and there is still room to do so!
Without all the add-ons like the stock or the silencer it looks like a mini bolter gun from Warhammer 40K that space marines use

The size appears to be more in line with a Warhammer 40k Bolt Pistol.
man, this gun's profile is really screaming for a more realized rifle variant. that front blocky bit terminating where it does makes me think that when the guy was designing it it absolutely could have been twice as long in front but cut for performance reasons. I can see something interesting happening if someone were to take a crack at an afterburner in a longer barrel
This thing literaly is a sem-auto rapid pistol, but it is much cheaper than one of the kits.
It’s very cool looking and interesting, but idk if i should buy it because i have the Motoblitz

I’ll stick with my Spectrum. 90 FPS out of the box. More durable plastic, better stock, comes with a solid 12x round mag, and a removable scope. And it’s less expensive.

My styfe does low 70’s on full battery. My spectrum does low 90’s and is just designed better.

this stryfe's ergonomics to me are 10x better than the original, not to say the OG stryfe is uncomfortable, but this is better on so many levels.
