You don't need to turn off Freesync to get to the fastest setting, just turn off anti motion blur.

You can't turn off motion blur if you want to get the fastest setting. It won't allow it

@Nima N this is normal. When you enable the 1ms opiton, it will turn anti motion blur on. What you CAN'T do, is turn on 1ms and disable anti motion blur. You can keep freesync on, no problem
I it won't show my freesync and my motion blur won't let me access it
I can have the fastest response time and have freesync on at the same time. And it doesnt affect my brightness.

Hello, thank you for the video. May I just point out that Free Sync should not be turned off in order to access "Fastest" image option. Imagine if you are using this connected to a Laptop, then you must have Free Sync on. You can just have both on at the same time. I am wondering why in your case it is different...hmm. Could be a connector difference

Wich one is better the msi optix mag241c or the msi optix g24c
Not sure I haven't tried the G24C but I would imagine the display panels are almost identical and just the frames that are slightly different design.
-MAG241C has a max brightness of 300 nits, 24C goes up to 250
-241C has a more aggressive curve(1500r) compared to 24C's 1800r
-both are VESA compatible, 241C uses 100x100mm. 24C uses 75x75mm
-241C has 144hz output for either hdmi or DP connection, whereas the 24C's hdmi only outputs 120hz(DP up to 144)
-241C can only adjust tilt. 24C can adjust tilt/swivel/height

+Lim Michael yes go to msi website and download the latest drivers then re boot and you should have the option to set at 144 let me know how you get on

Av1a I use display port but hdmi 1.4 or better should run this monitor just the same
@@MattsTopTech actually hdmi 1.4 doesnt support 144hz afaik, to utilize 144hz you need to go with Dvi or display port or Hdmi 2.0
iiEixo hdmi 1.4 is more than capable to deliver 144hz some manufacturers will recommend higher but these monitors will run at 144hz on an hdmi 1.4 or higher no problem

@mattstoptech I've been having such a problem with the fps mode when I turn it on all the green washes out to grey cant find a fix please help
That's an intended 'feature'. Most popular shooter games have a lot of green, think PUBG big open fields or as I showed my younger brother on Fortnite its extremely saturated and green. It de-saturates the brightest greens so you can track enemies better, There's a plastic toy-soldier skin on Fortnite that my brother has, normally if he hides in a bush near impossible to see, however with this setting on the bush is washed out and grey-ish but he stands out like a sore thumb.
Side note it also pumps up the saturation on reds and oranges, think highlighting enemy health bars on overwatch.
@@NinjaSnipe1989 thank you for the reply when I first tried it out it was I couldnt see the health bar but in other games such as cod and apex it is beneficial to me but I honestly cant play fortnite like that I wish there was a setting that didnt wash out so much of the green

Got to professional and turn off the image enhancement. Mine made text look terrible. I do use it on normal for most fps games. But when not gaming turn it off for sure.

@Matts Top Tech , I have 1 question , When I activate FreeSync (I am with RX 570 4g gddr5 and almost the same MSI monitor as you ) , The monitor locks on Fast option in response time tab and I can't activate the Fastest option in the menu , and when I disable FreeSync , I can activate the Fastest option in monitor's menu , any ideas why , and which way is better ?
Hey there! If you are running a game with frame rates over your monitor refresh, and it is ALWAYS over the refresh rate, then selecting the Fastest response time option will be the best. It enables Anti-motion blur, which pretty much eliminates ghosting. However you can no longer adjust brightness, and it does dim the screen significantly. If you are running a game and your frame rate is under the refresh rate, it it better to enable Free-sync to ensure a smooth experience. Hope this helps

Can you run at 144hz via hdmi on PC? (Right now I am using Vega 8 Integrated Graphics so I only have access to HDMI until I can buy a gpu)
Abdullah Shah this monitor does support hdmi up to 144hz on hdmi 1.4 but I think it’s always better to use display port if possible. That said if your using integrated graphics I don’t think you will be throwing too much FPS at it to worry about what connection you’re using it should work just fine for you

Abdullah Shah got nothing better to do on a Saturday night that’s why it’s so quick 😂 I had no issues with the hdmi hitting 144hz, MSI also say it’s fully supported on hdmi 1.4 on this monitor. When using the fastest 1ms refresh rate the screen brightness is reduced this is the main draw back

Yuzo when your in the menu of the monitor you will see game mode are the top centre scroll right to the bottom and keep going it’s on the next page

sam wren this model does not have built in speakers so not the best option for Xbox. I’d hang out for Black Friday some amazing deals on tv s which would suit Xbox better just keep an eye out for a good 60hz tv

Hi, why does my monitor say eco mode?
I play fifa and seem to have like fuzziness around there body when running almost like blur tried every setting and only thing that stops it is turning off image enhancement but then I lose way to much detail any ideas?

On fastest setting, i could still change the brightness and have freesync premium on.
If u close anti motion blur u can change brightness. if its open u cant.

One question, can you use the 120hz setting on Xbox one x with the HDMI that’s given? I think it’s a hdmi 2.0. 120hz works with my tv that I’m currently using with the Xbox hdmi. Just wondering if the monitor needs a certain type of HDMI to run 120hz
Ryan Allen It should work fine with the Xbox if it supports 120hz refresh rate as long as you have HDMI 1.4 or higher, although I have not tried it on consoles myself.
