- The MSI Optix MAG271CQR is a 27 inch 1440p gaming monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate, FreeSync and a response time of 1ms MPRT. We’ll see how well the VA panel performs by testing ghosting, colour accuracy, productivity tasks like video editing, and of course gaming to help you decide if it’s worth it.

MSI have advised me that this monitor is compatible with Nvidia's G-Sync, however I have not tested this myself as this feature was released after I reviewed it. Note that you need to use DisplayPort cable.
Thanks for the confirmation def gonna wait it out then im getting impatient!! lol
Just tested it on my new MAG241C. It works like a charm! Keep in mind that you need a display port cable.
@@Biotexo Thanks for the confirmation, good point about DP too I've updated the comment.
@@JarrodsTech I was testing the monitor yesterday and was confused why G-Sync didn't show up in my NVIDA Configuration screen. I had the monitor connected via HDMI. Googled it and was surprised G-Sync only works with Display Port.
Gsync works on the mag241c monitor. I have covered this is my freesync video
My personal opinion of MSI Optix MAG271CQR:
So i bought this monitor, coming from 1080p IPS 60Hz monitor. And yes its amazing monitor, 144Hz 2k is very nice to have. I was concern how will curve affect me, but its amazing. I like it a lot!
Now about monitor its self, ghosting for me is not issue (tbh i can barrely see it). Colors are very good for VA panel, it looks much better then old IPS panel, but i had new IPS Panel with 144Hz and yeah its better, but i returned it because of freaking blackout bleed (thats why i ditch all IPS and go for VA, couldnt gamble anymore). No bleed here, well there is little bit, but that is so little that you cant even see it, so VA is better in that for a mile. Like i said on IPS colores are better but not that much tbh. NOW the main part, blacks on VA panel..., hm i dont know how to say this. BUT black its freaking BLACK, if you never seen VA panel (like me) you would be like WTF is this black all over it xD. Then you compare it to IPS and then you see that IPS is not giving you black colore like VA. Dont be alarmed its normal because of contrast i guess and its good. No washed black and white patches on black like on IPS. About freesync, it works with nvidia I have RTX 2080. If you dont push high fps it will flicker end of story. Sometimes i does, sometimes it doesnt, its wierd. But it works, i doesnt flicker like crazy, just a bit. Mostly flickers if your fps drops.
Just one thing about BLACK TUNER, i put it on 9. Someone said here in comment put it on 10. On 10 it looks washed little bit, and everything is brighter compare to 9! I dont know how to fix that, going from 9 to 10 its insane difference. Any other number is just crap, so 9-10 only works. Issues is when there is something dark, its dark as dark can be. You really see dark in games on 9, on 10 you see that dark but washed little bit. Its hard to get use to it, i still didnt. I dont know if that is normal or not. But as i watched reviewes or any VA panels, they almost all have nice dark colors. So i guess thats normal. In games you cant see shit in dark area on 9, i dont like that! Like i said playing on 10 makes massive change you can see everything in dark areas then, but it looks washed... You can use to that ofc, its not that bad, but black tuner setting on 9 looks darker comes with insane dark in every game what i tested. That is only for dark areas, everything else looks amazing. Im still jumping from 9-10, i cant decide what to use. 9 is sometimes to dark, and 10is sometimes washed.... Look at EDIT 2 i manage to fix it!
It is great monitor you can always find something better but that comes with a price ofc, better then TN definetly, close to IPS. If there are no problems with IPS bleeding i would buy IPS, but that gambling is just anoying.
If u have questions feel free to ask me, and if you have info about how to set it up, comment it here please!
Thanks and i hope i help someone :D
EDIT:
After few hours tweeking around in setings and trying to see what is best, I came up with this (everything done in msi osd app in user mode):
Brightness: 80 (this is fine for me, it can be lower but i like on this)
Contrast: 50 (i think 50 is best)
Sharpness: 2 (it can be 0, but i just put it up for a bit)
Black Tuner: 10 (this one is fucked completly, if u go lower to dark if you go higher to bright, leave 10 and hope for the best)
Colore Temperature: Red - max, Blue - max, Green - max (this turn up amazing if u crank up on max everything)
Response time: Fast (have no ide tbh, on normal is same thing, on fastest lovers you brightness and you cant tweek it anymore)
Zero Latency: ON (dont see point puting this off)
Image Enhancement: ok, ppl say dont touch this. my personal opinio game looks ... hm more gameish xD i did turn it OFF but on ON/weak or medium does give some sharpnes to the game. For me
it looks nice i like that. But that is personal opinion. Leave it off or on its your choice.
Freesync on/off depends what i want (doesnt effect overal picture quality)
All in 144Hz and 2K resolution ofc
(doesnt look that washed, nice colores, overal great look)
EDIT 2:
So finnaly i got everything working how i want, gsync was little bit pain to setup to work nice.
Brightness: 70 (i would say put whatever you like most)
Contrast: 50
Sharpness: 2 (dont know why 2, i just like it)
Black Tuner: 9 (9 is the best, you get better colores and darker black, BUT in every game you need to adjust in ingame options brightness or gama thing, and thats it. Because some games will be insane dark. After that looks great)
Colore Temperature: costume
Red - max, Blue - max, Green - max (this turn up amazing if u crank up on max everything)
Response time: NORMAL (if its not on normal and u got gsync on it will ghost like crazy, to make gsync work this needs to be on normal)
Zero Latency: ON
Image Enhancement: OFF
Freesync on all the time, working completly fine with gsync it flickers mostly on loading screen. But ingame works amazing
NOW i got nice colores and gsync working :D
Thanks for sharing your experience with it!
@@JarrodsTech no problem, there is so little info on web about this monitor and you did great job here so i decide just to fill it with my opinion when i got it. I hope it will help ppl. At the end of the day its great monitor for that money.
@@gazoVU Thanks! Yeah, they are still in the process of launching it it seems 🤔 I still check Amazon every other day to get an updated price for the description 3 months later haha.
@@JarrodsTech does MAG241 has same panel as MAG271? everyone that has MAG241 troubled by ghosting and returning it
Does your power brick for the monitor make a whining noise? A lot of reviews of the MAG series say this is an issue.
Absolutely perfect timing. I was literally just in chrome looking for a monitor exactly like this lol. Great video as always
Cheers! Haha yeah good timing 👍 if you get it let me know how you find it!
So funny like me😂
how does this compare to the VIOTEK GN27DB?
Did you buy the monitor? how is it would you reccommend?
This review was very well put together, I really like the subtle editing and the quality is top notch! Nice environment as well, I like the setup you're rocking! As for the monitor, I just got myself a Vega 64, and this looks like the perfect match for my 1440P, 144Hz , and Freesync needs :D. While not IPS, I find that VA does a good enough job, and it will still be lots better image wise compared to my VG248QE.
Thanks! Sounds good 😁 I'm testing another 1440p 144hz VA panel at the moment from BenQ, going well so far!
Hey man, I'm in the exact same position as you. I'm coming from an a VG248QE and about to buy this MSI monitor. Did you acquire it? I would love to know what you think about it !
@@JeremyTsagadar hey man, same here, about to upgrade from my vg248qe. would you recommend this?
@Elmling I ended up buying it. I would have a hard time comparing with another 1440p but coming from VG248qe, it's day and night. It's definitely way better. I'm only annoyed by some serious ghosting when watching movies sometimes but if you can aquire this monitor for a good price, you should probably go for it ! Depends what you want to do with it of course.
@@JeremyTsagadar hey man, thanks for the info!
Great video.
1440P 16:9 144Hz is King 👑 I don’t know about the curve.
I have a Korean Special
Yeah it's a good combo! The curve grows on you 😎
@@JarrodsTech I could choose this monitor instead of C27HG70, both look like good picks I guess.
Curves ftw :D
uP-Andre can’t you just drop it down to 1080 p ? I know it won’t be 240Hz but ?? I’m new to pc gaming and I’m looking to move up from 60Hz to 144Hz
dem this review practically covered everything, thanks.
No problem at all!
That was perfectly timed!!
Thank you
No problem at all!
10:29 friezes the picture, it with FreeSync?
I wasn't actually running the game there, that was just a video for display purposes.
Had this for about 4 years now, still great and a good buy for 300 bucks back then. I will be upgrading to a 4k IPS because the VA ghosting is indeed noticeable on some games.
This might be my new monitor to pair with 5700xt. So far best price to performance I can find. Awesome review Jarrod'sTech!
Thanks!
Really appreciate for the review Jarrod, been looking for a monitor for a while and didn't know what to buy. But after other reviews for this monitor and especially for this particular one, I decided to get this monitor.
There was no dead pixels, I checked it in the store with my laptop. Colors are great, much better than on my 5 years old IPS LG 23 inches. Buuuuut....I had to return it :c Way too much brightness and color gamut for me, when i lower brightness, it still hurts my eyes with non-realistic colors. Changing level of contrast doesn't help. I'd say all colors too much saturated. In games everything looks pretty awesome, but I also work a lot with text and couldn't do this with this monitor. I got headache and my eyes hurts a lot. Brightness level 20 didn't help with that. Had to turn off this monitor and return to my old one LG while working. Thought that I just didn't used to and gave it a try for 6 days but even after that i still had pain in eyes because of saturated colors. Also, curved structure not for me though i thought its going be awesome. I mean in games its ok, but in browsing internet and working with text its hurts my eyes. I really didn't find any negative reviews on this monitor, everyone was happy. But i supposed to work a lot and its just disaster in that kind of use monitor. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to say that this is a bad monitor, no. It's just didn't work for me in my specific case. Maybe something wrong with me, idk. But 6 days in a row and i got pain in eyes and headache so returing was the only option. Maybe VA is not for me (black colors are really black, but i had also huge blacklight bleeding in the bottom to center). Looking for something flat and IPS now.
Fair enough, personal preference I guess.
awesome review, just ordered this monitor -- its gonna be my first 1440p 144hz monitor, excited 😬😬
Thanks, nice! Let us know how it goes!
How is your experience so far? Tell meee 😭
basically i just wrote a whole paragraph and lost it all because i clicked another video by accident so here goes again..... it is a really good monitor, the only noticeable issue is the G-sync flicker which other people have been talking about, but this only occurs during loading screens, mainly shadow of tomb raider. other than that, the QHD quality is amazing, the different screen modes are very cool. the monitor is an excellent size, very big compared to my 24" samsung curved., uhm... yeah i fxcking love it, gameplay is sooo smooth its unbelievable, although since i got it two weeks ago i've only been playing shadow of tomb raider which is a very very demanding game. you will need a 2080ti or two to play this game on ultra. any questions? just ask :D
@@hotwuk212 guess no further questions for now! Thank you! Well one more thing, how much u paid for it? Guess I will be waiting for BlackFriday :o
@@hkgvx02 haha yeah i paid £400 for it but you can get it for £350 at cheapest price, if you can wait til black friday then you might as well lol
The mag272qr is out and hits 165hz...it’s only $350 and released on the 13th. No reviews out yet anywhere and I think I’m going to take the gamble on it
Fairladyz i have the same problem also i looked the aoc ag273 qx at same money...

Late to the party here, but you got a like and sub from me! I've been reading up on this panel on Amazon and Newegg and found full specs, but I love seeing user review videos that are in depth and I must say this video 100% solidified it for me!
Welcome to the channel!
I just got one too and I love it! Played some Dark Souls 3 and noticed how bright the sky/sun is in the dragon peaks compared to my older LCD monitor. Then I saw that the PS4 only does 1080p or 4k and got sad. Now I want a 27 or 28" curved monitor just like this that does 4K, but I can't seem to find anything in my size range that is as nice as this monitor, has the sweet curve, and has 4K.
@@amisfitpuivk If you go for 4k, then you should rather get 32"
haha your accent kills me... TOOoooo.
The way you tone down at the end of sentences makes you sound sad and its hillarious.
Welcome to my Australian accent.
lel yeah noticed this too (
Since birrthh!
Aussie accents vary greatly from state to state and from rural areas to the cities. It's a wide variance as we're kind of a weird amalgamation between Scottish, Irish and English heritage predominantly, but also the fact that we have 3 people per square kilometer, so some towns of small populations have distinctive vernacular associated with them. We "get" one another very well, but theirs still a huge variation between the rural area I grew up in and in the city I live in now only a 2 1/2 hr drive away. (I know for euros that's like one country to the other, but for us it's a tiny distance)
I thought it was a text to speech voice 🤣
I have the older MAG27CQ and I still love it and great video!
Thanks! Yeah it's a nice panel 😁
Mans mouse was about to jump intp hyperspace
😂
What music setup do you have there? Nice review, made me buy it!
Thanks, hope it's going well! Audioengine A5+ speakers with the D1 DAC
Can u run g-sync on this monitor with new nvidia drivers?
Yes, according to MSI's own testing.
No, you can't run G-Sync. But, you can run FreeSync even if you have an Nvidia GPU. That's what the drivers changed.
@@pegasus_2137 Sure, if you want to get technical, the key take away I was getting to was that you don't need an AMD GPU and Nvidia is fine.
@@JarrodsTech OK. Great video BTW.
@@JarrodsTech Will the 980ti work with freesync? or will I need a newer 10/20 series card to take advantage of that?
Hi, great video!
I’m buying this with a ryzen 7 3700x and a gigabyte RTX 2070 Super.
On a scale of 1-10 how well will this work with them?
10
Thanks, yeah quite high out of 10 😛
Jarrod'sTech thanks! I just bought this today, should arrive tomorrow. Can’t believe I spent £350 on a monitor 😦
If u just have a console can u still play on the monitor?
Yes, just connect with HDMI
@@JarrodsTech Thank u for telling me😁
No problem!
does it really have HDMI 2.0? On the MSI page it says HDMI 1.4
@@DVRKMORE I have connected this monitor to my PS4, with the HDMI cable for my playstation (i works perfectly) while i wait for my pc parts to arrive. Just keep in mind that the ps4 cant run more then 60 hz or 1080 grapichs
I just discovered something critical. Do NOT change the Response time to Fast. Leave it on Normal. I was playing Dark Souls 3 on PS4 and I noticed the dark shadowy columns in firelink shrine were leaving bright residual ghosting spots as my character turned, and everything actually looked cartoony like a Borderlands game whenever there was movement. I heard Linus say something about some of these 'Fast' settings just being an overdrive of the pixels and actually made things look a lot worse just for that 1ms response time or whatever, and now I see the result. Keep your Response Time on Normal.
Yeah those sorts of settings can be hit or miss
I buy it and i can say it is ANAZING MONITOR! Exelend picture quality! Im wery happy to have it!
Good to hear, thanks for sharing your experience with it!
@@JarrodsTech Did u see any dead pixel on that one from your video? I order 4 diferend brands monitors (AOC,asus,LG,MSI ) all with VA panels and they all have some 1-2 dead pixels. My one now have 1 dead pixel aswel but is in the courner and i will keep it,becauce i dont have any more nurves to send it back and is wery hard to see it in the courner. Also 2560x1440 is a perfect resolution for 27". U are right,if someone want biger size he need to buy monitor with biger resolution from 2560x1440.
@@PETRAKOV1 I've never had any monitors with dead pixels, both from ones I've bought and from review units that get sent to me. Most manufacturers cover that under warranty and will replace it.
Just bought the monitor and did the UFO ghosting test, and I can see some ghosting but tbh it doesn’t bother me at all, I then went into games such as league, bf2 and Witcher 3 and I don’t even notice the ghosting at all in any of those games.
Yeah I think being able to notice it comes down to the individual, I don't think I'm personally that sensitive to noticing it.
I tested with Nvidia Freesync. Freesync works from 56 to 144FPS/Hz, below 56FPS is LFC active and makes terrible flicker and unstable monitor refresh rate, not stable double to fps.
Black Tuner is at 10 best, above and below is this garbage, contrast is about 50 best, below and above garbage too.
Nice! Thanks for sharing, the update wasn't out while I had it for testing unfortunately
@@JarrodsTech, here is more info from me. Use translation.
www.computerbase.de/forum/threads/nvidia-freesync-erfahrungen.1848940/page-25#post-22209679
Do you know if the Nvidia Freesync works via the HDMI 2.0 ports? or only DisplayPort? and I'm going to have a capture card between the computer and monitor too so I'm guessing I'm out of luck here but I'm hoping!
Should only DP, I didn't tested HDMI.
I tested with no second screen (Non-Freesync) again. Normally I use multimonitor and only primary for gaming. There is flicker at about 56fps and sometimes at about 30fps. at 56fps and below is LFC with doubled Hz, at 30fps and below is trippeled Hz. Between this is no flicker. In general, sometimes flicker in normal Freesync range 56-144FPS/Hz, with second screen and no second screen. Remove tearing works general.
I am undecided. Return to seller and get new model? Or buy other model with completely working Freesync on Nvidia. No TN and below 450€ (Germany). 1440P, 27" and 144Hz is needed.
Really good monitor here it cost a little more than $600 ,good review my friend.

This would be great for a PS4 and will keep you safe when ps5 comes out with higher specs. Better to future proof yourself and get this cause the new ps5 is meant to be 120hz.
James Bateman what cord do i need ?

Well, I have had this monitor for quite a while and it's brilliant my son, on the other hand, has recently bought and returned 5 monitors because they all suck and what he really wants is mine but can't get one. The replacement monitor for this one he has tried and that was awful so now he has no idea what to get. They all suffered from ghosting or tearing or simply looked awful this is with a Nvidia 3090, but this model he loves but no retailer has it in stock anywhere in the UK.

After seeing several reviews i want to buy this monitor. Would you still buy it at this point in time for the current price? And also it is worth if you play games on the playstation 4. I mean soon PS 5 will come with 120hertz. Good Video btw
Yes definitely and its on sale for black Friday
Note: At this current time ps5 doesn't support 1440p. Only 1080p and 4k which is stupid unfortunately
People who bought this display, are you happy? Maybe getting one soon.
u think it would be good with 2 screens instead of 1??
Good Video!
00:33 So I will get screen tearing with a nvidia card? But not with an amd card?
Damn.. I play some fighting games (they are locked at 60FPS) do you think I'll get screen tearing?
Got a 2070 super.
See the pinned comment. Nvidia released an update after the video came out, they support FreeSync now, it's fine.
I think I might buy this just for that headphone holder!
🎧
Would the 1440p @ 144hz be too much for the dell g7 to handle?
Depends on the game I suppose, I'd probably my want a 1070 for most games
I'd say if you want extra pixels for outside game use, go for it. But if you're getting 1440p strictly for games get the 1080p version. I have 24 inch pretty good looking , i just need to used to blacks being so dark again (was using a replacement cheapo tn panel)
So the xbox one x does support 1440p at 120 hz u will still be gaming at 30 to 60 fames a second with free snyc
Is it better than a Samsung C27HG70 ? I don't know what to buy
Sorry I've never had a chance to test that one so I honestly cannot say.
@@JarrodsTech Sad but thanks anyway for the Answer and keep going your reviews are insanes !
Cheers!
Welp never mind. I deleted my comment about not being able to find the monitor anywhere because I found of that it's only on the MSI website....but all of their retail sellers don't have the monitor either. It's like it never existed lol.
Yeah I think it comes out March 15th, not sure why it's taken so long
Should I buy this for my PS4?
Later I will play it on PS5..
Pls answer
You lower the tone of your voice in the same way at the end of nearly every sentence.
It really fucks with what I'm hearing you say versus how you're saying it.
Not a bad thing, just unusual.
I've just bought this monitor and while I didn't really want anything with a curve, I'm really liking how much better it feels to game with.
Great review!
Thanks, I guess it's just the way I talk 🤷♂️
Great review! Just wondering about the input lag on this monitor, because I play cs and r6s. Thanks!
Cheers, unfortunately I'm not able to answer as I don't have the tools required to properly test that.
Cheers for the quick response! Was there perceptible input lag or did it feel instant?
Seemed fine to me but I'm by no means a pro at detecting that, I don't think I'm particularly sensitive to it.
Thanks, mate. You practically sold me this monitor. You just earned a new subscriber :)
@@zogo6384 hey so how is the monitor any ghostin or input lag ?!
I have 2 I love them. They replaced my 2 Samsung CF 390's. Running them with an 8700k and a 2080 ti
Nice!
Feel like donating that setup to me? I’ll pay 100 for shipping.
what does the response time "normal" "fast" "fastest" mean ? Isn´t the response time always 1ms ?
The monitor has different settings to adjust the speed, I am not certain, but would assume "fastest" is required for 1ms, I don't actually know, I don't have tools to measure this myself and it wasn't clear with the information I had available.
Would you recommend any other monitor over this one? My budget extends another $100
To be honest I haven't really tested enough others to say, sorry. Maybe check the hardware unboxed channel they have way more monitor reviews than me 😀
Maybe the older model will be even cheaper now. Thanks for the video!
No problem! Yeah may be the case, already seems a bit cheaper than when I made the video on it earlier this year so that's nice 👍
I play a lot of Call Of Duty, would this monitor be good for that?
What's the height of the monitor if you pull the display all the way down?
If I didn't show it in the video, then I'm not sure sorry. It was sent back to the MSI after the review so I can't check.
Great review!! I'm in the market for a new monitor and this is one of my option. What do you think of the 32 inch Msi monitor, Optix MAG322CQRV?
Thanks, unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test that so cannot say, but I think the size difference will come down to personal preference. At first I thought 32" was too big, but now after using one all the time 27" is too small for me haha 😅
@@JarrodsTech Hi Jarrod I love monitor MSI mag 241cr tapi aku takut buruk tentang ghosting other pls 😕 answer 😟🙏
Fast Overdrive and fastest Overdrive have terrible overshoot. Normal is preferred, no overshoot. Easy test it with Superposition and strafe in front of windows, there is glowing overshoot.
Yeah
Monitor is returned to seller. My alternate option was XV272UP and I heard, it have random flicker on desktop with artifacts. No more alternate. Better order MAG271CQR again and hope there is no flicker hat beginning LFC range? There was no artifacts on MAG. Or any other Freesync screens (must work with Nvidia) recommended? Budget about 550€ an no TN panel. 27 inch and 1440P or ultrawide?
Low quality on 2 incoming cables(display and hdmi). 144 Hz is both a problem. No problem at 120 Hz. That's why I need a new cable. Hopefully this will solve the problem.
Hope so!
I found this monitor for only 200€ in black friday should I buy this monitor or the lg 24gl600F-B ?
Is this monitor good for games like csgo, any others like this, and some very good graphics games?
My specs: rtx 2070 super
Ryzen 7 3700x
16 gb ram
Right now, im playing on 1080p 60hz monitor
u should not have any problems with your specs
It's very strange I came from a TN panel, and playing for example PlayStation 3 on this VA Panel it makes the 720p look better like it's upscaling it? It's very strange I would never go back to TN.
What do you mean? Like does it look drastically different?
@@mattruiz662 Yeah in my opinion it definitely does, I'd never go back to TN honestly I can't really describe it another way in my opinion it looks 10x better than what my old Asus TN offered.
Maybe it's the curved design doing the screen magic? who knows but different screen technology.
@@GatchetCore Alright thanks for the info man, I have a ps4,pc and I'm planning on buying this monitor tomorrow so really good to know
@@mattruiz662Had the monitor for a month now, currently using it with my Nintendo Switch & PC.
It's excellent, my only small compliants is if you use the freesync you sometimes might get a flicker effect honestly it's a really minor thing but regardless you can look over that and sometimes ghosting effect but if you turn to fastest it helps.
It's a VA panel, I knew going into it ghosting would happen and it's fine :)
What is the name of the model without RGB lights?
Looking at the site, I think its only 1080p for non RGB.
This monitor is going to be verry good for the ps5 like he comes out with 120HZ .whats youre thought??
Maybe, depends if it supports high refresh + 1440p, or is it just 1080p?
Anybody has problems with the yellow tint of the white?
Love the video! But i need more laptops 😂
Coming soon 😛
Hey Jarrod!, now that this video has been out for a while do you have any idea when this monitor is supposed to release? im either choosing this or a Viotek.
I don't know, sorry 😭 I've still been checking every second day for it to be available because I want to update the description with pricing, but no news yet.
@@JarrodsTech Thanks for the quick reply, i would assume it will release right after CES. on the MSI website the page for this monitor has a CES 2019 badge on it.
Hmmmm could be, I'm visiting MSI at CES so hopefully I can get some news!
Its out now xd
is it bad to use this monitor in the dark then with the backlight bleed?
Didn't seem too bad, but you can see my bleed in the video.
Awesome review
would this monitor suit a PC with Ryzen 5 3600 and a GALAX RTX 2070 super 8gb?
Thanks! Yeah I think that should do pretty well at 1440p high refresh rate for many games.
I AM GOING TO BUY THIS MONITOR PLEASE TELL ME IF GYSNC WORKS???
thanks
Better monitors available now? @Jarrod's Tech
I bought the 24' version and it's absolutely amazing. Totally worth it in the current price point
Nice, good to hear!
wp , did you buy the Mag241C /cr 1080 p ?
@@deadscene1 Yes i got the
MSI Optix MAG241CR, i didnt have any need going for the 1440p at 27' :)
@@dev13nt nice! I'm looking at that monitor cuz my 144 hz tn panel die. Just can't find info if its true that you can't read easy text and text stuff on it. Also never had curved monitor have no idea if is gonna make my aim in shooters/moba games worse xd one more thing if you play games like League of legends Overwatch ,what is gonna be you"re opinion
Is it really as smooth as monitors with TN panel, 144Hz and 1ms GtG response time?
1ms MPRT, the GTG isn't specified so not sure what it is.
@@JarrodsTech its Grey to grey response time, how fast can monitor switch from black to white colour, at least as I know TN panels are better at this and it has also something to do with ghosting (lower the number the better)
Would you buy the 27 inch or 32 inch msi Monitor? Because the 32 inch is pretty cheap only 50$ higher then the 27 inch Monitor
It's personal preference, I'm used to 32" now as I use it every day, but 27" is ok too.
@@JarrodsTechwhat about the 34 inch? It has the same price as the 32 inch. But i guess its way to Big for gaming
hey! can u send the link for your speakers? i see these all the time in youtube videos and theyre really cool
and can you do the review for the msi optix g27c5 or the optix g27c4
I own this monitor and i hate it. The first one i bought i sent back due to patches of faint grey horizontal lines all over the display, most noticeable whilst browsing web pages. The new one they sent had the same issue except it was less noticeable so i kept it. Ghosting is horrendous unless you have it set to its slowest response time then moving images are blurry instead, setting this monitor to its fastest response time will reduce the brightness from 400nits to about 50 nits making most games unplayable. Wish i'd bought another BenQ instead.
Sorry to hear that, can't say that was my experience at all, kind of in the opposite boat where I want to replace my BenQs lol
Hi, it is actually available now? I'm looking to buy one in Canada but can't find any informations about it just yet, thanks and great video as always.
It is in some places, but not most places around the world, MSI told me it would be available Q1, so worst case before the end of March.
@@JarrodsTech Highly Anticipating! (:
