    When checking with simichrom just be sure to clean off piece first , you can get yellowing result just from dirt or smoke. I also found just baking soda mixed with just a tad bit of water to form a paste works too. I heard of 409 too but never tried it. Great video, you know I love your jewelry ones. I learned about Rebecca Collins today thank you, I have a non silver piece that I'm going to look further into.

    Hey Lady! Amber Baltic...wha5 is the beads? Glass, wood, ??? I've never seen before. Just beautiful!!

    • @Happycat8385
      @Happycat8385 9 місяців тому +2

      The beads are amber true amber is fossilized tree resin that was exuded from bark millions of years ago there is a lot of high quality amber that comes out of the Baltic countries ..those beads were opaque butterscotch colored but it can come in alot of colors and can be transparent. I find it easier to identify genuine opaque beads like the ones she showed versus the transparent beads but have been getting better at picking up different varieties...get a cheap black light and look up the reactions to look for ...plastics and dyes can react to the UV but I find it to be a helpful tool in identifying certain beads especially amber

    I'm pretty sure the crystal necklace is not glass, but rock crystal (clear quartz). Thus, the price. I've recently found four pieces that looked like glass but were, indeed, rock crystal. The price is many times higher than glass crystal.

      One way to tell quartz orbs is to look into them and everything becomes inverted .Glass will not. Also make sure the orbs are not pierced ,that would not hold the Chi in. Originally made in China during the Deco era and later they are Czech made,the Oriental ones being more valuable.The Czech ones are marked on the clasp.

      Rock crystal also tests as quartz on the Presidium. I've started testing any pieces that look like crystal. I just found a huge necklace and matching bracelet (almost a pound in weight total) for $15 at a church sale that turned out to be rock crystal. Not these gorgeous orbs, unfortunately, but a nice find.

    I love your research videos, but the average Joe doesn’t come across the price range you review. Would there be any chance of you doing $100 and up. Even after your generosity I wouldn’t know, remember to know, a $500 and up piece of jewelry if it bit me in the tail end. If they were more likely to be found in the wild they would be worth knowing about. Maybe it is for those who do hauls, but I think in general that your videos reach people who shop one by one at estate sales. Like I said, I love your videos, but they just don’t pertain to me. God Bless and keep the good work coming!

    • @TheNurseFlipper
      @TheNurseFlipper  8 місяців тому

      Correct but if you remember the name of all the brands they all have lower priced more common pieces that you will find more frequently. When you get down to $100 or so there are thousands so very difficult to pick out twenty but I'll play around with the idea and see if I can come up with something!
