In Texas, management is not required to accept therapy dogs. My apartment limits up to 2 pets and 50 pounds limit. $350 deposit per pets. If you sneak in unregistered pets. You will get 30 days to vacate for lease violation. That lady needs to find an apartment that accepts pets but pay pet deposit.
And there’s many places that are pet friendly. They never pick pet friendly places. You can’t change peoples rules.

2 years of rent moritoriums and you thought landlords were just going to take it in the wallet. We didn't see a moritorium on property taxes or insurance did we. So thank the politicians for the rising rents and evictions not the landlords. It was not the landlords responsibility to provide free housing for 2 plus years.

Typical to blame the government for your poor choices in who you rent to. Do your work, get decent tenants who pay their Bill's. Dont blame anyone except the landlord

If a tenant doesn’t pay, they get evicted. That wasn’t an option for YEARS because of the government. So yes the government is to blame
Laziness = Poverty = Homelessness. If you are poor, how do you pay for pets? I am on limited income, and that's the reason I do not have a pet. It's just basic math and logic!
People don't pay thiet rent and expect to stay??? This is crazy... if you don't pay your rent, you get evicted... it's not your property... pretty simple...
Evictions are up due to the backlog of blocked evictions during the virus eviction moratorium. Once the backlog of cases has been cleared, things will get back to normal.
Yes, but... I wonder how many of those who are being evicted are tenants who chose not to pay their rent during the moratorium even though they could have? In which case, they deserve it
Government provided rent support, stimulus checks and extra kickers for unemployment. Rent should have been paid first.
Illegal and no cause evictions were happening en mass before the moratorium. Even during the pandemic, paying tenants werent safe from the vile crooked lying landlords. They werent going to let some gov rules rule them and their passive income property. Be thankful you didnt get swindled and tricked by such vile trash, the cops let them threaten, harass, assault, abuse, break bones and steal homes from paying tenants, even disabled vulnerable elderly tenants arent safe. This is an unacknowldged reason of the homeless crisis.
What ignorant people to assume an eviction moratorium is also a rent moratorium. You still have to pay your rent, it just meant you couldn't be kicked out, in the moment, for not paying.
There are landlords working with responsible but unlucky renters on a repayment plan without the need for eviction.
There were plenty of assistance programs renters who qualified chose not to apply. Renters who stole assistance money meant for their rent.
Unfortunately, they mean business.
It’s been the renters paradise. I lost 18 months rent because the government wouldn’t let me collect it or evict the trash. The good side is now, after eviction moratorium I almost doubled my monthly rent rates and if you have an eviction, you need not apply. I hope the trash that screwed the landlords during the moratorium kind a nice bridge to live under. And all my properties are rented with a better class of people

There are more factors beyond one's control at play than that....
Rent goes up but it never comes back down. The whole thing needs to be regulated.
so how will that help-?- Landlords are not responsible for the financial well fare of their tenants. the more regulations providers face- the higher the product they provide will cost. it's called econ-101.

It's going to be really bad next May in 2024 in California when ALL back rent MUST be paid in full. Our government is creating major instability for its people. I hope the younger generations rise up and get in the streets soon like they did in France!! This cannot go on much longer!

landlords need to lose their rights plan and simple. all housing other than private housing (you live in your house) should be managed by the government on some level. animals should have the right to be in the building as long as they aren't dangerous. we pay rent that increases like crazy but you are barely aloud to do anything in your home because they want to remind you that your too poor to own a house. we need stronger laws and lawyers need to be more available for the little guy because a lot of this is because tenants don't know their rights and judges and lawyers are bias. change the laws. we need to be protesting this shit NOW!
Here's a thought.......get a job. pay your rent. get a second job if you need.....
