ha, ha, I just went out and picked up a few things today just to play around and experiment with. I thought I would first look on here to get some ideas, and one of the products I got was the exact same brand & size of "structure gel" that you have shown here! That is funny! Can't wait to try it now!!

LOVE your video's!. I never had the opportunity to get into doing this before and you have opened a whole new world for me. I'm in Melb Australia and great to see such a talented Aussie sharing and helping others. I can't afford the lessons so this is a life saver. You've made one lady VERY happy. What goes around comes around.
    Cheers:)

Love transfers.. you can also use gesso and acrylic paints that same way. Transfer on to fabric too. you can use inkjet print images with transpariencies without waiting for them to dry. Love it all. Thanks, Gary.

Thank you. I have always missed the one tip I picked up in your video, that of getting the page WET before laying it into the medium. Makes all the difference in the finished product. Thank you.

I think you can use matt medeium too Gary. If you can get oil of wintergreen it works as a transfer imagey thingy also. you put image down where you want it and rub over it with the oil to transfer. smells nice too like deep heat or dencorub.

AWESOME!! Thanks so much for the demo!! Holly mother of all spiders!! That is the best!!
My teacher gave a demo with all these crazy toxic chemicals to transfer copy images that you can only use a certain printers.. But your demo was the awesomest one (there, I created a word too "Awesomest")
    Thanks a whole bunch :D

great video! thanks so much! it's really fun to transfer.... but I dont know if it's because of the paper I used or because of the gel...but the image turned out too washed out...it wasnt as clear as yours... I'll try again with different gels and papers! fun!! Thank u!

Wow, a lot of drama on this video's comments!! I think of my (non- drawing art) as mixed media! I use a lot of "things" to express what I want. I also use pictures I take, so I guess if you like to draw then draw, but I like to make things and change things that are already made! Altered art is a real form of art. What about people that paint... I can paint, but not draw to well, what are they? Hmmm? Seems like some people just know how to draw and that's all ;)

@richmond436 don't be so singleminded and negative :) , besides, people don't go around looking for ways to fake drawing, this is just a cool technique , we all have a choice for everything, you can choose to watch videos where they teach drawing ;P .
I draw and actually pretty good at it, and love this.

If all artists had your mentality, art wouldn't have progressed past the 18th century. Open your mind and quit being a hater!

That's brilliant, thanks, found this video by accident. Will try it now :) Does that work only with magazine prints or photographes as well?
I started doing collages half a year ago, and i enjoy it so much more than drawing. Don't think that collaging is only for people who can't draw :) i can draw quite good I'm just a bit bore of it. I like to be surprised by the effect methods have on my collages. I just bought the book "Major Works by Leading Artists" by Randel Plowman, it's brilliant :)

I used a magazine picture a little thicker paper .. is this why it might be staying a white color instead of the image color ,,, its looks perfect when wet but when its dry it looks crappy .. not the image I wanted .. however i didnt wet the picture first .. could this also be the problem ... the image transferred fine but when dry it look like paper is still stuck to it .. but I can remove any more pls advise
