@@Gaming_Analytic I would suggest making a bestiary type series of videos. Dragon’s Dogma pulls a lot of their creatures from Western fantasies, and gives them its own twist. Covering creature species/subspecies would be perfect to get more people interested.
I played the first game multiple times without really diving deep into Grigori's lore. This video is an interesting analysis of the Dragon's role in the verse, however, I also believe that the dragon is created by the Seneschal to end their eternal life and pass the responsibility on to the next one who would dare to claim it. Immortality is a curse, forever is a very long time for loneliness, pain, and suffering. Cool video tho! keep up the good work.

I always do a bit of reading in when a lore rich game inbound, love DD lore... there is allot to work with here from a game development (in particular writing and world-building). I am very much looking forward to see what they do with it.

Useful for people with disabilities, non-native English speakers and adds accuracy to lore wise terms.
I'm sure there will be, I mean we are getting brand new locations... so that in of itself will require a bit of Worldbuilding. LORE LORE!!! I LOVE LORE!!!!
This was VERY helpful and interesting stuff. It's funny but as many dragons as I've fought in DD, I never knew about the lore. Drakes, Wyrms and Wyverns used to be Arisen?! I know about the loop but didn't know that.
@@Gaming_Analytic I really hope so! I don't mind that DD1 kept its lore "hidden" and you had to talk to the right people to learn about it but they write a lot of really cool stuff that I'd love to see in the main story.
Despite my best efforts (think I mailed and messaged 10 different people) I was unable to secure a review code. Which is understandable, I mean the channel is tiny compared to others out there covering the game.
I can't wait to go adventuring as a magic caster I'm going to try out all the magic type vocations except for the ones with the bow and arrow, but I also can't wait to see what kind of quest there are only available to magic Castle locations like sorcerer or necromancer and better yet maybe there's a class to teach others necromancy and other type of magic spells like a friend thing other than just my pawns all the time. PS is there also a second type of gift like the second best thing for those who didn't get the first place gift like I don't know join a chat group or a club that loves this game too with other friends I have a time to chat a mingle something like that I'd actually like that😊
I always seem to gravitate to the magic based classes myself... Except for the firet time I played the Darksouls games. I was thinking about creating a discord server for the channel at some point, but managing that ontop of the channel and work responsibilities will be a bit too much at the moment, but its definitely in the pipeline 6-12 months from now. Appreciate your input and comments. Fun chatting with people who have an obvious passion for the things I also like :D
I think you got some of your info mixed up. SPOILERS: The reason why the dragon appears is from the endless cycle. The seneschal creates the dragon to test who has the will to defeat him and take his place as seneschal , keeper of the world , because he is tired of living endlessly. but they have to do it out of courage and willpower. In the Netflix show the dragon explains why he does what he does. Because it’s in his existence to do so. He kills humans without a thought. Imagine if an ant was crawling on your table.. you would kill it without even second guessing. This is how the dragons see humans.
the first part of the video you explain the lore about the dragon, that part is a bit inaccurate. Unless you’re talking about dragons n in general 🤷🏽♂️. I was just trying to help clarify. If you watch the Netflix show, they explain the nature of the dragon a bit more. I’m not sure where you heard that there is multiple dragons at one time, the lore always talked about one in each parallel world. Great video though! You're bringing a lot of people into the lore which is amazing

The sources I considered to be canonical are as follows: 1) Dragon's Dogma characters (Capcom) Biographies; 2) Dragon's Dogma Digital Comic (Capcom, UA-cam channel, R18); 3) Behind the Scenes of Dragon's Dogma: A Look at the Development of Capcom's Open-World Action Role-Playing Game (28 March 2013) Game Developers Conference, Hideaki Itsuni; 4)Dragon's Dogma: Official Design Works (ISBN 1926778928) (2012); 5) Dragon's Dogma (Capcom); and 6) Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (Capcom) Your are the second person suggesting it though, so I'm definitely going to give it a go prior to launch.
I'm sorry to say it, but for me personally it wasn't helpful. After countless visits to wiki and forums, I knew almost all of it, but i think it would be great to know if you're a new player
