- One of my favorite stages I had the privilege to perform on. In the round with a rotating stage to boot! I never thought I was Buddy just trying to show respect to the man and the legacy he left behind. The performance I thought wasn't my best though I felt the sincerity for Buddy was there.Hope you like it and enjoy it as much as I did performing. Thank you for watching and listening .
Will never another like him. He was No.1 in my book, yes even above Elvis

Nice hairpiece at the start.
Awsomeness🎉
Brian studied Buddy quite a bit and was as true and authentic to his legacy as he could be, even up to the way Buddy would play his guitar, he really respected the legacy. I remember giving him his first Buddy Holly record and he was hooked and although he went into many genre's of music, this, was his first love and our first bonding moments as brothers, when we would argue (as brothers do) the one thing we could always agree on was this music. Although Brian is gone now the work he performed and the lives he touched will live on in this community, I was privileged to be able to call him my brother.
Barry, I don't know if you will get this message but I wanted to say that although I never met Brian, in the short time I knew him he was one of the most genuine and kindest people I have ever met. I first learned of Brian when I watched this video 18 months ago. I have worked with the Holley family, recorded and performed with Buddy's niece. I can say that Brian's performance of Buddy is one of the best I have ever witnessed!! This video now is a tribute to his legacy also. Please send my sincere condolences to his wife and family. God bless you...Larry Cappetto.
Don't know where to begin on this, I met Brian around 2007 through online gaming(Call of Duty), he was pretty bad at it, but after a little help.and training, he got pretty good. We went from gaming buddies to friends who actually talked on the phone. Through the years we would talk about the times we would have when we got together and talk about Buddy. We never got together and I wish we had, at least meet in person. I knew something was wrong and that he was ill, but hoped it wasn't bad. Long time went by and I haven't heard from him and just glad he is no longer suffering. And may he be playing with Buddy an crew. RiP Brain, you may be gone, but you will be remembered.
@@VoicesofHistory So Brian's cancer has taken him? So sorry to hear it, last time i checked up on him, he was still sure he was going to beat it! :( Heartbroken

@@hollydazetribute I am saddened to hear this news. Prayers for you my friend. Please keep me updated. My email: lcappetto@icloud.com
Great performance same keys and licks. Buddy Holly was a huge influence on many British bands - Mike Berry had a hit with a rememberance song about him. I know a guy who went to the U.S. and drove to Lubbock and jammed with a guy who had played with Buddy. I will be green for ever about that. I wrote a fantasy story where he missed the plane, lost his memory but recovered it 20 years later and to convince the locals played That'll Be The Day - ''the day that I die''. Coincidentally but independently so did Terry Pratchett in his novel Soul Music. We even play Fender Stats because he did . For only 2 years at the top this was an amazing achievement. I get my guitar out every 3rd of February and play a set of his songs. This is not just a grief struck nostalgic trip - this guy made a very important contribution to music that still reverberates.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
RIP: BUDDY🌷⚘🌷⚘🌷⚘🌷⚘
R.I.P. Brian. You’re a leading factor as to why I became a musician; I’ll always be grateful for that. I wish we could have caught up over coffee and guitars. I like to think you’d be impressed with how far I’ve come. God knows I was always impressed with you. You and your family will always have an incredibly special place in my heart. Thanks for everything, Buddy.
This guy is actually really good.

Book your Band at Medina Ballroom Medina, MN...Talk to Mark Rascoff.
Seems like a lot of the old folks don't want to clap or get up. Maybe he should do some Elvis.
Lame audience. Sitting there, with their arms crossed with no expressions on their face.
