    What's to hate...VFR800 is a fantastic bike... the extra weight keeps it rock steady at speed... pretty much disappears at slow speeds once you've ridden it for a while.

      It's an all round solid bike I think it just takes a certain kind of riding style and there are some riders that it just won't gel with, but that's true of any bike.

      @@iMr.Jetpacks i have one. At parking speed it feels a little top heavy. But when riding it feels super light. It’s a joy to ride in every type of roads. Highway or small bumpy roads.

      Guy Stevens The 2006 model is definitely the best. I had a 2018 model for the day and wasn't that taken by it, plus I think it looks ugly. So I saved a small fortune and bought a 2004 Vfr800 with just 3K on the clock which I absolutely love.

    One of my favourite bikes I’ve owned. Brilliant tour around Ireland then a quick ride to Devon before heading home to Suffolk. The only downside to that trip was 9 miles from home the chain snapped, leaving a small hole in the crankcase on its way off the sprocket.

    1:40 can you explain what you mean when you say the monster will be very cheeky in the corners compared to the vfr which you have to ride like a sport bike? Thanks

    • @SHPrtz
      @SHPrtz 7 місяців тому

      I would guess that as a lighter and smaller bike, the Monster is more forgiving and 'flickable' in corners, allowing you to approach them with less foresight, than the heavier VFR which has a much larger wheelbase. But I'm not sure that comparison holds true for traditional 600 sports models, so maybe he meant something else.

    Would you describe the VFR as a bike to entice you out on sunny days to ride the country roads? Or would you take the keys to something else like a Street Triple or MT07 etc? I know the VFR's sound lovely but a lot of ppl go on about their weight and the more touring handling rather than a sharp exciting ride you'd maybe get on something lighter and newer. I had the VFR750 6 years ago and tbh it made me feel 20 years older back then, was a lovely bike, did nothing wrong, but in the company of newer machines it just felt old. But i do love the VFR's pre v-tec, actually contemplating another one but when there's other options like those i listed earlier i think they would be a much more fun enjoyable ownership for daily riding/commuting/ weekend fun. What do you think??

      I remember seeing that updated Honda CB line of bikes for sale in the UK and being disappointed the U.S. wouldn't get them. I prefer the styling of the Nighthawk, without the back end hiked into the air or too much fairing covering the bike. The closest bike I've seen is the Honda 919.
