This guy is so calm and collected he makes these all cops look so ignorant, it’s frightening to see how many fragile egos and unprofessional “law” enforcement there is.
On the phone, while on the computer and driving. Can’t stand cops that turn their lights on just to go back to station or be on their lunch break, you probably won’t believe me but I’ve seen them both happen first hand.
The comments on these videos are always so strange. You realise the cop was 100% correct, right? In all of the cop videos DDE upload, they never film, or at least, show the footage before they get pulled over. It's so obvious they are actually speeding and driving badly, that's why they get pulled over. And when they get the cops on video, they just argue with the cops. I get why you like the videos, I do to, but to say the cops are in the wrong at any point, is just absurd.

Damon - "65" Officer - "....okay" Seriously, do Police ask that question because if you say "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" they just say whatever speed they want? If he had a speed-check he would tell you how fast you were going.

These cops just seem to look for confrontation, and then he gets busted for his profiling and tries to backtrack when he realizes he knows his rights and he's being recorded. When I looked it up, after receiving one of these tickets, it appears that there is no definite specific definition of an unsafe Lane change or unsafe Lane usage and cops can use that as a catch-all because it is virtually impossible for you to prove that it wasn't true and the safety of the activities you were doing is apparently up to the discretion of the officer. And we all know they are the epitome of safe driving.
I'm at a loss about what "glassy eyes" means. I don't think there's a standard definition, but it seems to be diagnosed any time a cop wants to manufacture reasonable suspicion to detain a driver.
As a matter of fact you can literally put your blinker on zip over right in front of somebody and when they hit you from behind it's their fault regardless regardless I know I already have a ticket for that and it was unavoidable they said stay so many Corrlinks behind it but that's impossible if the literally dropped his cigarette and jerked the car into my lane.
Well, if you're changing into a lane, the drivers already IN that lane have the right of way. It is your affirmative obligation to yield to them and stay out of their way. So if they have to apply brakes to avoid crashing into you, that is obviously unsafe driving on your part. Now if it's stop-and-go traffic way under the posted limit, then that's a bit different, and their braking is more a result of the traffic than you, but if you're doing 10+ over, then no. That's an unsafe change every day of the week. Now, I'm not even saying that's actually what happened here. It's totally an assumption that the cop described it correctly, so who knows in this particular case.

Hey Damon. If you get a ticket in California the DMV issues you a ID number if you don’t have one to track your record here. And since you never got a license in California it’s going to always show suspended/unlicensed when they run your info. So make sure you always have that Canadian one with you.
This is 100% true for California and other states. If you don't have an ID, they issue you an ID number to attach any citations or arrests to. This is how the Cali "ID" can show suspended or revoked or not valid but the Canada one can show valid. Same of people who have IDs out of other states.
i got the feeling that this guy knew full well who you were and just wanted to make it look like there was a ton of things he could have charged you with but because he's a nice guy he's gonna let you off with a warning! the whole thing about you not having a valid license should have meant he was taking you out of your car and off to jail. driving without a license in the uk is a big thing and you dont get to be let off for it. so he seemed nice at the end but very suspicious right from the time he pulled you over, in my opinion!
But in the UK you have a few days to produce your license and insurance , not on the spot like here in the US, I left that rip off country a long time ago, so i guess it could have changed.

I think you gave that officer too much credit. He came off as a “I’m right you’re wrong” kinda guy even after you proved him wrong on more than one account. But overall kudos to you for remaining cool with him.
This cop had about 3 or more different things he gave as the reason for pulling you over. Clear he was just jealous about the car and was curious. The unsafe lane change is the new go to lie for these cops because they know you cant usually have video of the other cars brake lights. I had a motorcycle cop lie about this when about 10 cars were stuck without a light trying to get onto the road from a shopping center. Instead of aiding the cars stuck for endless amounts of time at this intersection, he chose to sit their and pull over the cars finally able to get out. I purposely waited until I easily had enough time and got i to the lane quickly. I took him tp court but the LAPD courts are rigged with ProTem judges paid by the Cops essentially. I knew I could t win, but I wanted him off the streets for at least 1 day It's so clear after all these videos how corrupt so many officers are. Meanwhile, I got owns tailgating me, weaving in and out of traffic, blocking intersections, and they constantly target people they believe have money trying to pad their quotas
At first I was worried because he seemed not to happy, but actually his ability to control emotion, reset his behavior and critically think about the situation is what makes this person a good police officer.
No, what would have made him a good police officer was not pulling him over at all. The speeding was a reach at best, the fact that a car applied their brakes when DDE changed lanes shows that car was travelling faster than the Lambo which disproves speeding. Also, if I was driving a sports car worth _that_ much money, I’d be driving with enough due care and attention that “an unsafe lane change” couldn’t be something you could attribute to me. What’s more likely is the cop ran the plates because it’s a Lambo and there must be something on the driver he can be arrested for as only the super rich and drug dealers can afford Lambos. The plates didn’t show up on the system because they’re Canadian which was enough for the cop but not to satisfy the law so the cop made up the speeding and unsafe lane change as a BS justification for the stop. The cop got a bit of a hard on when the license came back invalid/suspended but that’s because California cops seem to think that California law applies globally and only a license issued in California is legit (there have been other videos where a cop just couldn’t grasp the concept that DDE didn’t have a California license and that he was legally allowed to drive on his Canadian license, he even doubled down on saying that DDE had to apply for a California license to be legally allowed to drive as a tourist).
@@realburglazofficial2613 that one was funny and informative video from DDE! I would have never known Canada and the U.S. made a deal that both their licenses are valid in each others country's along with other handful of things they also allow across both country's.
@@justamango942 it's not so much about the US and Canada making the deal, it's the same across the world. If a nation allows tourists to travel there from any other nation, the diplomatic agreement that enables that travel includes driving permission. A US Citizen could fly to the UK, rent a car and drive it to Dover, get on a ferry, cross the Channel and then drive through _every single_ European country and their licence would be valid in every one. Same with Africa, same with Asia and the same with South America. With the exception of like 0.5% of countries in the world you can drive legally on your own nation's licence.
@@realburglazofficial2613 Most countries have an agreement that was hammered out at one point in time. They will generally require you to get an international drivers license if you plan on staying for more then 60 days, but for tourism it is much more relaxed.
@@davidlamb1107 you're right, so when I do a normal Lane change getting ready to exit the freeway and somebody's coming down the slow lane at 100 miles an hour and has to slow down because now I'm in their way, that's totally my fault

I feel like the cop didn’t want to pull them over but once he did he was fishing to see what he could get them on but Damons master debater skills and the way he phrases and ask questions like a traffic lawyer would definitely tipped the cop off to the fact that he knows the laws pertaining to such instances because it wasn’t until the end when the cop and already decided not to ticket him that he changed his approach towards him, the cop towards Damon that is. Honestly if Damon did a master class on handling cops during traffic stops I’d pay for it instantly lol
He had to pull them over because the other cop on the phone was asking what it was
It could have turned the other way around if damon just keep defensive like most ppl do when they are right

He's a sergeant. He doesn't normally get pulled over by citizens😁
When I was stationed in Italy, our first sergeant was pulled over in his car by the Italian State Police (Carabinieri). We were given paper driver's licenses back then (as part of the NATO agreement or something to that nature). Anyways, the first sergeant got lippy and started to argue with the Italian cop. The cop saw this as disrespectful and tore the license up and threw it into my first sergeant's face and said, "You WALK now". Bottom line in any country, throw them a little respect and don't hurt their fragile little egos in any way. Additionally, I was pulled over once in Italy too...while in uniform. The cop said in broken English, "you...speed...slow" and then saluted me. I saluted back and drove off. I was speeding waaaaay too fast on those twisty Italian mountain roads! Too much fun.
I wish you could leave a sound as a comment on UA-cam. I just did an awesome fart

Common sense is not so common, apparently. I really appreciate your patience with the level of harassment that you have to endure, from our lawful protection officers. I feel so very blessed to have lived in the Middle East during a period of time when respect and common sense prevailed, especially in Dubai, UAE. As petrol heads, we were so lucky nobody cared about being 5 or 10 over the speed limit, being harassed by the police because you drove a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche, being “called in by morons who are just plain jealous”, etc., etc. Now we live in BC Canada, which has many virtues, but being able to afford and drive exotic vehicles and enjoy them, is not one of them. Thanks for the video content, cheers........
This is what dde is all about!!! I love it! The cop literally admitted to breaking the law himself. Saying the cop he was on the phone with while driving... Hella illegal. Good content guys!!!
I’m not tryna be that guy, but you can be on the phone with someone if you have bluetooth.

Well I've never been pulled over in my life so I honestly don't know how I would be with the cop. I just continue to obey the law regardless if a cop is present on the road or not cuz alot of people think they can an make an illegal move on the road just because they don't see a cop anywhere but hey u never know he/she can be watching u from somewhere and u won't even know it. A cop might've seen u run a stop sign from a far distance away but was busy dealing with another driver and then starting going after u. Not worth my time.

In most of the United States they would pull you over and give you a ticket but in Southern California people are speeding all over and they just don't pull you over on the freeway anymore !😂👍 90 mph is common in the fast lane now... that's why it's so much fun driving around here on the freeways in fast cars👍😂

‘Are you a car guy?’ ‘No, not really…I wouldn’t even know what you were driving’…from that moment that cop (Sargent or otherwise) was completely owned and done! 😂😂
You don't have to be a car guy to know when an internal combustion engine is revving in comparison to normal driving. You DO have to be a car guy to know that this kind of car rev's the engine on its own without the driver pressing the accelerator.
I had a motorcycle cop lie about this when about 10 cars were stuck without a light trying to get onto the road from
a shopping center.
I knew I could t win, but I wanted him off the streets for at least 1 day
It's so clear after all these videos how corrupt so many officers are. Meanwhile, I got owns tailgating me, weaving in and out of traffic, blocking intersections, and they constantly target people they believe have money trying to pad their quotas
A HAIRDRESSER HAS MORE TRAINING THEN COPS.
@@realburglazofficial2613 I did not know that wow!
@@realburglazofficial2613 Most countries have an agreement that was hammered out at one point in time. They will generally require you to get an international drivers license if you plan on staying for more then 60 days, but for tourism it is much more relaxed. You will need proof of insurance and the minimum coverage varies a lot from place to place so your current insurance might not be enough or might not cover global travel at all so it is best to double check before traveling somewhere and just expecting it to be enough.
