There are lots of videos on our channel with this truck in it. Scroll thru. I think it's been to every one of our Front Yard Nationals as well. Its a great ride that he can drive pretty much anywhere.
Great looking truck! Your video gets me all hyped up to start bodywork on my 1979 F350 Crewcab, then eventually get it painted red and white (with racetrack trim). When spring gets here I will start ripping the truck apart!
We are sanding and polishing it now. The owner has most of the trim and interior ready to go back together. He is just waiting on me to finish polishing.
Thank you! There are a lot of hours in this truck. When it comes out of the booth lookin this good, it makes it all worth it. We'll do a wrap up video when it's back together and done.
Really a nice job painting and explaining the video. I can’t wait to see the finished product. I’ve got a 1974 Highboy I’m wanting to go with that color. Could you send me the paint code? Thanks again.
Thank you, it was a lot of work but it was worth it. The truck came out fantastic. Paint code is Chrysler PSC…..I will warn you that color is not cheap and does not cover very well. It has a ton of Pearl in it. It looks like a regular silver/charcoal color until it gets in the sun. Good luck on your project and thanks for watching.
If you are planning on repriming then block with 150-180 and then go over your edges with 220-240. If it is your final prime then block with 240, then I reguide coat and sand with no less than 400 grit.
Check out last year's Front Yard Nats video where the F250 is done and in the sun. It has a lot of pearl in the paint. She is gorgeous!!! ua-cam.com/video/PU8V3AMPdNs/v-deo.html F250 is at 4:50.
Angel it depends on the amount of work that needs to be done to get it ready. Can't throw u a number without see what it looks like. I can tell you shop rates for a regular body shop in the Midwest are are usually around $50-$60 and hour and it's not unusual to hit 100‐200 hours on an old truck.
Depending on the amount of body work, it could cost anywhere from 15k to 25k. That's not counting paint materials. Costs on different colors can vary greatly....
I got one in the left bedside at the body line. More than likely because I ran out of clear half way down the bedside so I ended up recoating in that area
There were two reasons, one was limited room in the booth to have it all apart and not have to do 2 loads in the booth. The other reason was the color didn’t cover very well and I was worried about having enough paint and possibly having a color match issue. It turned out well, and I only had to respray the tops of the fenders to get rid of a tape line.
It looks awesome
Thanks for sharing your video with us .
One beautiful blue oval!!
Wow I love those trucks they are the best looking trucks ford ever built

Happy to hear we helped motivate you! Thanks for watchin and good luck on your crew cab!
It really turned out great! It was worth all the prep work you put into it. Look forward to seeing the truck assembled. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you! The owner has put tons of hours into polishing all the trim. Its gonna be slowly put back together in the coming months. More to come!

OMGOSH!!!!! That looks so amazing! I'm jealous, mine is so far from the booth that it's not even funny!

Kevin and Woody really worked hard on this project. I smile every time I see it. Thanks for watching!!!

Sharp, can't wait to see it done.
You and me both! Thanks for the comment! Stay tuned for more videos of it.
Danny sounds like a real smart guy
With our group, Woody is graded on the curve. 😉
Man that paint is beautiful but I’d kill just to get someone to align my panels like that. The hoods on these trucks in particular
It took hours and hours and hours just to get the hood to fit as good as it does... thanks for watchin!
@@HyndzyteEngineering I believe it. I spent hours just to make it look like crap 🤣. Time well spent

It's a Chrysler color. Code PSC. Thanks for watchin!

When you blocked the primer what grits of sand paper did you use?

F250 is at 4:50.
Is that primer
Dang, that is SLICK! It really makes my '78 F100 look like s#!t.
Thanks Robert. Tons of work went into it so far. Theres plenty more to come to get it all back together and finished. Follow along.
I will be headed out to the owners shop this weekend to start sanding and polishing
How much does it cost to get a piant job like this got a 79 ford

6:56 nah we cool with it.
How much something like this cost?

Jk love y’all
Right back at ya Kynser...
Did you get any runs

@@HyndzyteEngineering I love an honest reply. Thanks.
Why didn't you just it apart to paint ? You got it half way done anyways .
There were two reasons, one was limited room in the booth to have it all apart and not have to do 2 loads in the booth. I have 1978 cost to paint ?
Material alone was in the $4000 range. Labor all depends on how rough the body is when you start
Wow what a bunch of lames 😂
Well that is because we are the same age as your parents, so...
I got mine I want to rebuild it I like that car soooo much, but I don't no where can I will fount the spare part
