Maco just paints it as-is, hence why the bad trim pieces were also reinstalled vs replaced. My stronger concern would have been the shaking transmission at idle. I'd call it another pig with nice lipstick.
This pickup is like my dads but it’s a little different it has the gas tank in the cab in stead of the normal no and the seat the door plastics are different and it doesn’t have ac and it has the cool Bear like skin on the top but everything else is the same
Clarissa Ashley I say f100 trucks are more reliable. my dad had one and that truck was tough AF. Its sad that they dont make trucks this good anymore. Now they all have tons of electronics that keep failing, getting recalls etc.
73-79 Fords are much more reliable but since parts are so interchangeable on square body Chevy trucks and they are so easy to fix, there are many people who prefer them to Fords of that vintage but those guys are just ignorant Chevy boys.
@Warren it has the 400 in it and it has 300 I miles runs fine the 460 is a big block like the 400 Ford 392 is a big block the Pontiac 400 is not my truck is a 400 and highboy I know it
hey guys i have a Ford f trucks it's a 5ltr winsor gt40 heads weiland intake stage 2 cam electric dizzy alloy 2 in rise 600 holley running 70 main jets it is a smooth running motor does anyone know how to work out how much horse power i would be making
This is what a truck SHOULD be; traditional in appearance and functionality. What draws most of my attention, is that the truck has two colors of paint and chrome accents, all complemented by the steel bumpers. Maybe someday, I'll find one of restored condition at a reasonable price, perhaps in colors of a different kind. Only time will tell.
It could be a 77 1/2 as that when they started putting that motor in these truck, Along with the 3 inch wide leaf springs and the gas tank was removed from inside the cab, no filler cap on the cab, That also makes this not a high boy, but it could be the rare 77 1/2
John Smith '76 was was the last year of the FE engines....'77 brought about the 351/400 option. The highboy era ended at the halfway mark of '77, when the high pinion front axle, direct mount transfer case and negative arch front springs came about.
This is a 1977.5, this truck is not a "Highboy" Ford stopped making the highboy 6 months earlier. You are using false advertisement in the listing. You need to remove it from the title/description.
+Jason Swoap Someone is using our photos to try and pull a fast one. We sold this truck a few months ago. We have tried to figure out who it is and have reported it to Craigslist. We do have another just like it, only its a true Highboy (Pre-1977.5). Call us at 801-839-4224
Dear Ford,
This is what we want.
And new wipers
Yes, stop making your trucks look like they just got in a head-on collision
Best looking ford truck of all time that year
FYI , ford never actually called these trucks " highboy " That was just a nickname given by the public .
10k on interior and paint...how about 2 bucks for some stereo knobs.
those were some sweet diecast models, so much fun
Damn that's a nice truck.
Awesome Truck!
Cool..old school..cool.....love this..one
Best Truck Ever...
What happened to the radio knobs I wonder ?
Good video 😊📸😊
Almost 10K $ paint ? And they didn´t fix the dent in the passenger door ? That suck´s .
Maco just paints it as-is, hence why the bad trim pieces were also reinstalled vs replaced. My stronger concern would have been the shaking transmission at idle. I'd call it another pig with nice lipstick.
That's a steal
And the passenger front fender has the same dent.
I seen that too just like the interior looked great except the radio with missing knobs
@@kookiethebear yes it could be a throw out bearing or worse a lot of end play in the crankshaft
Worth that
Why we looking at a 5 year old video? Is this for sale or what?
OH MY GOODNESS!!!
77 1/2, not a true high boy. The last 77s that were high boys had a seat tank. I had one.

Tanks, how many MPG?
what truck is better and more reliable 73-80 Chevy or 1973 -1978 ford
73-80 Chevy, but the older ones that you are talking about OEM parts are getting hard to find, and the trucks themselves.
Clarissa Ashley I say f100 trucks are more reliable. my dad had one and that truck was tough AF.

Ford all the way for me and my family...
Ford.
Which is it, all original, or 10k on paint and interior, can't be both.
Nice truck, but it's not a factory highboy. This is a 77 1/2 .
I have a 1977 f150 ranger highboy w the 400 looks exactly like that
@Warren It's a 77 f150 ranger model on 33s it's a highboy
@Warren it is lifted stock like no other f150 and it is on 33 boggers with a 400 big block
@Warren it has the 400 in it and it has 300 I miles runs fine the 460 is a big block like the 400 Ford 392 is a big block the Pontiac 400 is not my truck is a 400 and highboy I know it

We can do that. Call us 801-839-4224
So is it a 78 or 79 with a 73-77 grill and a married transfer case? because a 351M/400M wasn't an option until 78/79 so how can it be original?

John Smith I have a 1977 with a 400m from factory

I have a 77 with a 400M, a divorced transfer case, and a in cab gas tank.
Most were rusted out by 1983
Duh! Joe there is a place that can stop that : its called a car wash : & dont buy a chevy

If you read the description you would see why the word "Highboy" is in quotations in the title. It is not false advertising.

? Granny for sale
I like it except for the seats that look like they belong in a boat.
Really?! darn I just requested info on this truck. Was on Craigslist down here in San Antonio, TX.. Says it's in Victoria, TX. Hoax?
