Great Video. I have been doing all of this for years. I have high total cholesterol but my HDL is very high. I wish you would have mentioned Triglycerides which is now more important than total cholesterol. Must keep that number LOW ! I don’t eat anything made from Flour as it converts to sugar. I don’t eat red meat but I do eat Chicken and Fish. A cardiologist I listen to says have your plate 3/4 vegetables and 1/4 meat.

Thank you for all of the different ideas to consider and broaden our health. I was a heavy smoker for my whole life, then when I was 49 I used vaping to stop smoking. After six months of nicotine vaping I switched to homemade juice (food grade glycerin and glycol) without nicotine and vaped that for the throat hit when I felt anxious. After six more months I no longer used the vape and I am cigarette free seven years now. Hospitals atomize glycol into the air vents to kill germs. I believe vaping has saved my life.

@@DrTomBiernacki I was suffering from the cold today and feeling ill and it was 72•F. My skin was clammy and wet. I made a hamburger and ate part of a chocolate bar. Around an hour late I was feeling good and my body was not as effected by the temperature of the room even though the room temperature dropped into the 60's. I understand why people call LDL bad, but I think that is like calling blood bad.
When you have a wound, blood flows more freely, coagulates on the wound, and becomes a scab.
A scab is unsightly, and if someone's not careful they could remove that scab prematurely, opening up the wound to potential infection.
But the scab is there to do a job. It is a natural bandage. As soon as the wound underneath the scab heals, the scab goes away.
In effect, that's exactly what LDL is doing with plaque. It's a scab inside your blood vessels, deposited there to cover inflammation, or wounds, typically caused by carbs and sugar, and other toxins.
The inflammation is usually there because of what you eat. If you start eating healthy food and stop eating sugar, you stop inflaming your blood vessels, the wounds heal, and the plaque goes away.
Let us stop demonizing LDL by calling it bad, but understand why it's there and how we can manage it in a healthy way.
LDL provides a bandage. A scab.
It is a healthy healing part of the body.

I read that if you overheat oils past their point, even olive oils can become.a trans fat. Same as dipping food in same oils over and over, burning foods also make them poison. I am on a moderate keto diet with IF. Moderate because I allow myself up to 50 gr of carbs, but aim for less every day. I got rid of pre diabetes and feel fine. My LDL tends to be high, but HDL and triglycerides are better than good. I am ok because it tells me that my LDL is mainly the large fluffy particle. My CAC is 0. Good information thanks!

  • @wunderfrau
    @wunderfrau Рік тому +5

Thank you for your video. LDL when oxidised and turned into V-LDL is the bad cholesterol. LDL (without a V and oxidation) has many important functions within the body. The cholesterol problem occurs in the presence of an unhealthy diet, conditions such as metabolic disorder, insulin resistance, Type2 Diabetes, etc. The best measurement to determine a problem or not is the HDL to triglycerides ratio.

I followed Dr. Ken Berry’s advice on maintaining a high fat low carb diet and just had the best liver and kidney function test results in years! I mostly eat strawberries as fruit (no more than 10 a day) or just small slivers of apples and oranges, never more than a quarter of either a day. I try to limit nuts to a handful a day as well, as I try to keep carbohydrate intake as low as possible. Fatty meat or fish keeps me full and stops snacking. It works well. I stopped oats and any other grains as I fear their blood sugar spike. Dr. Berry is even against oats, though many people didn’t like this video as oats is a sacred old favorite!

well presented and informative video. i was thinking that it would be interesting to see a real study done that looks at the health of people who only eat nonprocessed foods. so many studies look at the health issues of people who eat junk but ignore those who eat well. Are those ones who eat well and take care of themselves experiencing the same health issues like diabetes? those who have never had alcohol (and yes, there are a lot of us), those who eat only the food they grow or meat that is grown only by a local farmer. I would argue that one must look at who has funded the studies to determine the validity of said study. I remember when ketchup was carcanagenic and then a fet years later it wasn't. meat is bad for you meat is good for you. the whole cv handling confirmed it for me, you simply cannot trust what mainstream "science" and experts say, because they are too financially engaged to care about the people. The study or "Science" will end up saying whatever they twist it to say. so what is the answer? don't eat it if you cannot pronounce anything that is in the list of ingredients. if you don't know what it is - don't buy it. thanks, keep up the videos and keep challenging us to critically think

What are your thoughts on the research of nano particles bonding to plaque? Apparently, the plaque releases an enzyme that tells your white blood cells that it is supposed to be there. These nano particles are designed to bond to the plaque and inhibit its ability to transmit this signal. Hence, your white blood cells see your plaque as a foreign object and begin to eat it away. Once the plaque is removed the nano particles no longer stick to the walls and eventually break down a few weeks later. My understanding is that it’s been successfully tested on animals, but not sure where it is on human testing. It seems like so many things like this get shelved by big pharm since they’d rather keep selling you medication for the rest of your life. If you have time to look into this, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks

Hopefully those nanoparticles are never used for this purpose.
They would actually be ripping off scabs trying to heal your body.
The plaque laid down in the blood vessels by the LDL cholesterol are scabs on inflamed tissue, protecting it and allowing it to heal.
Those nanites would literally be preventing your body from healing itself.

@Ralphey Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (P5P) is the active form of vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin that is essential for many functions in the body, including protein metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and immune function. Here are some food sources of vitamin B6 (including P5P):
      1. Chickpeas: Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are a good source of vitamin B6. One cup of cooked chickpeas contains about 0.5 mg of vitamin B6.
      2. Salmon: Salmon is a good source of vitamin B6 and other nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids. A 3-ounce serving of salmon contains about 0.5 mg of vitamin B6.
      3. Chicken: Chicken is a good source of vitamin B6, with one chicken breast containing about 0.5 mg of vitamin B6.
      4. Potatoes: Potatoes are a good source of vitamin B6, with one medium-sized potato containing about 0.5 mg of vitamin B6.
      5. Pistachios: Pistachios are a good source of vitamin B6, with one ounce of pistachios containing about 0.2 mg of vitamin B6.
      6. Bananas: Bananas are a good source of vitamin B6, with one medium-sized banana containing about 0.4 mg of vitamin B6.
      7. Sunflower seeds: Sunflower seeds are a good source of vitamin B6, with one ounce of sunflower seeds containing about 0.2 mg of vitamin B6.
Other sources of vitamin B6 include fortified cereals, beef liver, tuna, spinach, and carrots.

    Hi great video .
Love your videos , there concise , organized , stick to the subject .
    What I have found .
Red meat is not all ready meat .
You want grass fed , only grass fed .
    Research it .
Look at grass fed compared to grain fed .
There is hardly any fat in the grass fed .
Watch nutts you do not want roasted in oil .
You want dry roasted , sprout Ed the best , or soaked .
Processed oils . I do not do avocados oil .
I do some cod liver oil and real olive oil .
Calcium is not good . But I had to do some .
Best to get it from greens or good water .
Also you really want free range eggs . The real nutrients are in the Bugs they eat .
    Not grains .
    Thanks for good video .

People can thrive for decades on carnivore. Masai eat only meat blood and milk. When they moved to the cities they started to get heart disease. It's the same for Inuit who now suffer from coca-cola induced death. Most carnivores follow this lifestyle because of inflammatory responses to plant matter. But when done well it is a perfect way to live.
